Luxury ocean-front cottage with private beach. ALASTAIR SAWDAY RECOMMENDED

A 1400 sq ft, stone cottage in a stunning location in County Kerry with one acre of grounds leading to the water’s edge, a terrace and private beach.
Seal Rock Cottage has panoramic views of the ocean, islands and mountains. Situated on Rossmore Island it is connected to the famous Ring of Kerry by an ancient stone bridge.
The interior has been designed by Andrew Burch, the much acclaimed Welsh Interior Desgner aind consists of a sitting room with library and open log fire, a garden room with cast iron stove, a surround sound home entertainment system and stunning views over the water. And a dining area, well equipped luxury kitchen, laundry room and cloakroom.
The grounds are sympathetically landscaped retaining many of the existing natural features including a stream, mini-waterfalls, and ocean-side terrace.
Voted one of Ireland's top 10 cottages by Alastair Sawday.

Ireland's Riviera: So called because of it's lush semi-tropical vegetation and micro climate. It's perfect location has attracted celebrity interest with the Riverdance founder, Michael Flatley, wishing to purchase a property on the Island.

It has also been photographed and selected as the feature property in the magazine Country Homes and Interiors.

We loved the cottage and location! In all fairness, it might be more remote than some would prefer- about 20 minutes drive from Kenmare, but the private beach and dark skies make up for that. It is very secluded and peaceful. The cottage itself was much more pleasant than even the pictures show. The beds were really comfortable and the place very clean. We enjoyed a full day in during storm Amy. Cannot wait to come back. Highly recommend.

What a magnificent home! We loved staying here. The home is exactly as described in the listing. The view of Kenmare Bay right on the water was lovely and it was fantastic to be in a quiet setting with the just the sounds of the waves, the breeze, and at times the rain.. The home is in excellent condition. And it is a great location for day trips to some Irelands most enchanting locations. We look forward to returning!

This place is amazing! The view is perfect, the accommodations creative and amazing!! They thought of everything. This is probably not a place for little ones but adults will enjoy it all! It’s close to several golf options, fine dining, friendly pubs and the most amazing outdoor view! The hosts and caretakers were so incredibly kind and friendly!! I cannot praise this place and area enough!!

The cottage was everything that we hope for and more. The location is second to none. The pictures of the view. Do not do it justice. Beautiful home exceptional views

The house is everything described in the booking. The home was extremely well appointed - comfortable beds and crisp linens. The kitchen had everything you needed. The honour bar was a very nice touch - made you feel very welcome. Had a very memorable stay.

Seal Rock Serenity

Seal Rock is even more lovely in real life than the photos. The cottage is luxuriously furnished and infused with light even on an overcast Irish day. The panoramic views of Kenmare Bay never become passé and the absolute quiet is the antidote for whatever may be ailing you.
