Fabulous!

Fantastic Stay! Loved the feel of this place! Cant wait to return next time we’re in Texas :) We swam in the pools, hot tub, enjoyed the views, saw the numerous deer, & COMFORTABLE BEDS! Beautiful, relaxing grounds. We’ll be back.

I absolutely love this unit and the entire complex It is so relaxing and quiet. We really enjoyed the views and feeding the deer. This unit had everything we needed for cooking meals and we really enjoyed our stay. We will be back!

Relaxing Spot for a friends-cation

My best friend and I chose this property for the space but we honestly could’ve brought both our kids and still had a spare bed for someone else. The rooms are perfectly decorated and stocked with towels, etc. The unit is clean and tidy and the patio is beautiful with a gorgeous lake view.

Awesome Place

Great amazing unit! Everything was so clean and comfortable. This unit had everything we needed. Can't beat the beautiful view from the top floor balcony, which was so relaxing! The beds were super comfortable. Our kids really enjoyed it and we all had an amazing time. We will definitely be back and book this unit. Thank you for making this place so awesome.

The Island on Lake Travis

Another fantastic stay at the Island on Lake Travis. The weather and amenities were very good and Melinda and her staff bend over backwards to make your stay a memorable one. We have already booked an extended stay for next winter. The only complaint we have has nothing to do with The Island but with the City of LagoVista. The greens at LagoVista golf course have had damaged greens for a few years now and the City can't seem to get much done. A truly slow moving bureaucracy. RB

A comfortable condo for our three month stay.

The unit was comfortable. Location was great. The air and heat worked well. The kitchen was well supplied and met our needs. ( The only thing it could use is an electric hand mixer.). The furniture was comfortable. We would have liked to have had at least one chair to use for reading. ( We used our camp chairs. ). We borrowed chairs from the community room when we entertained, since some of our guests would have struggled with bench seats. The master bed frame was noisy. Any movement was noticeable. There were plenty of towels and bedding. A vacuum was supplied at our request and our questions about the tv were answered. Cam and Melinda are always ready to help. We would recommend the unit to others.

Enjoyed our stay there. We have our son, daughter-in-law and 3 year old grandson that lives in Cedar Park so the location is perfect for us. So along with getting away from the Michigan winter weather for a couple months, we have a great time visiting with our grandson. The complex is very well kept, the unit fairly comfortable, the views are spectacular and of course feeding the deer are a real treat. Our grandson goes nuts over it. Your staff, particularly Melinda, are always there if a problem arises. Great service and communication letting us know how to get in etc. A couple issues that I pointed out to Melinda upon leaving. The exterior doors leak cold air like crazy, especially the living room door that goes out to the balcony. They need adjusting or resealing. You can see daylight on the bottom edge of the doors, particularly the entrance door. Your owner could probably save a lot on their energy bill if repaired. We got creative with paper towel on the vertical edges and towels along the bottom. The wall plug on the backsplash in the kitchen to the left of the stove is very loose. The wall switch in the entry way is sporadic. These could cause electrical issues? The M-bath ceiling light is burned out. There wasn't a stool tall enough for me to reach it.We love the place and will be back next year. We rented unit #3115. Thought we would try a south facing one this time. Great job. Take care and see you next year.

Absolutely wonderful and relaxing

Had a girls weekend and the condo was the perfect size w all the amenities. The views were majestic, the deer everywhere was so cool and the pool was relaxing. Morning coffee on the patio w lake views were priceless. We hope to return every year.

Nice Place, Horrible Experience

We were excited for this short but necessary vacation with the family. We rented this nice apartment and considering the price we expected it to be well kept. When we got there cleanliness was not what we expected. We did manage and settled in. The temperature when we got inside was over 85" and proceeded to turn on the air. Problem was the air didn't work and it only manage to bring the temperature down to 78" which made sleeping uncomfortable. Since we got there late it seem inappropriate to contact Cam who is in charge of the place. Next morning we proceeded to do so and he answered quickly. Maintenance showed up and worked all morning to try to fix the air conditioning. Unfortunately it was impossible and considering the weekend they couldn't get anyone else. On top of that my wife had to stay the hole day in the apartment waiting to see if they could fix the air so she missed on the day activities we had planned. Cam mentioned maintenance people are trustworthy and this was not necessary but as anyone might understand we don't know the person and all of our personal belongings where there. At the end they brought 2 portable air conditioning units and placed them in the living room. First they were really loud. Second we had to sleep with the doors from the bedrooms open to let some cool air come which obviously didn't help that much. At the end they didn't recognize anything. We had two horrible nights and the overall experience left my family with a bitter sweet taste of the location.

Acceptable for the price

The property is showing its age but it was okay for the price. The good: location, nice area, pools, views and price. Not so good: very little attention to detail, beeds some deep cleaning. Stock items were disappointing with no paper towels, no kitchen towels, one garbage bag. Cleaners didnt pay attention to putting decorative items out or placing dining table in position to use etc. For use by guests. Fridge and stove didnt appear to be cleaned which made us question what else wasnt cleaned. A little attention to decor could go a long way to enhance this property.

Excellent

Rating is excellent but beware. When we got there around 8:00pm the room still had trash in areas and the sheets had not been changed, etc. The head lady in charge came over and with her daughter personally cleaned the room and left around 11:00pm. We are very thankful for that (thank you). This happened to us last time with dirty dishes, etc. My wife commented on us buying there but said not to because it may be deteriorating and you don't know what you will have in 5 years. It is a nice property and I hope it will be maintained to not let it get run down. Having a boat slip is awesome. That really makes it for me. Hope you don't publish this review because of the non-clean room but you need to know so it can be addressed. Also please encourage the upkeep of the property. It's too pretty of a property to let it get run down. The north pool was foggy (not good). It may be salt water. I don't know for I didn't taste it. The view overlooking the lake is very nice. Great Apartment and View / Not-So-Great Smell

We had a lovely stay at this comfortable and well-stocked apartment and enjoyed the lovely views of the lake. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook multiple meals. The couch was comfortable. The WiFi was fast. I hate to even share about the smell because it's not the fault of the apartment owners, however, I think it's important to be honest about our experience. There was a pretty strong sewage-like smell throughout our entire stay, that seemed to be throughout the island (not coming from anything inside the apartment). It definitely detracted from the experience. In addition, we couldn't really find anywhere to access the lake and go swimming. You can go to the pool, but we couldn't find anywhere to really reach the lake easily to enjoy it – other than going out on a boat. The apartment was nice, but not sure if we would book the location again for these reasons.

Nice place, good location. Not impressed with the cleanliness when we arrived. Still had food in the pantry and pantry shelves were dirty...clearly not cleaned by cleaning crew.

The unit was as pictured in the listing. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Just be aware of the location. Lago Vista is a neat area, though If you are looking for something closer to restaurants and lake activities I would suggest booking somewhere else.

Great views. Plenty of space inside and fully stocked on kitchen essentials. The porch could have been cleaned off better. Lots of cobwebs. Not a major deal when our focus was getting on the lake. Overall amazing !
