If your crew is ready for some serious R and R, then you'll want to make Crew Rest your vacation destination. Having recently undergone a complete renovation in 2020, this 3 bedroom home delivers style, location and comfort….. and a unique vibe you won’t find anywhere else. Lots of designer touches and high end upgrades throughout to include a Cook's Kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops, recessed lighting and molding as well as remote controlled fans and 49-65" 4 K TV's in every room. Kitschy beach themed bedrooms and an all new coastal furniture package invite you to relax and refresh.

Enjoy staying only 2 blocks from the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and the community pool is conveniently located right across the street. At Crew Rest you are within walking distance to the Destin Commons and local restaurants. And for fun out of the sun check out the " Crew Lounge" a quaint room adjacent to the large family room where you can read a book, have some quiet computer time, color with the kids or have a spirited competition on the Play Station 3 complete with games for every age.

This home comes with 2 parking spaces.


We require a minimum length of stay during the summer and over holidays.
We do not rent to anyone under 25 or to students. We require 1 parent for every 2 people under 25.

Guests receive a welcome kit with small dishwasher detergent, dish soap, sponge, a roll of paper towels, and laundry detergent. There will be an initial trash liner in each receptacle and a set of toilet paper and soaps for each bathroom provided. Guests will need to replenish supplies for longer stays.

In addition to our welcome kit, we also supply basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and oil.

This was one of the cleanest rentals we have ever stayed in. On every vacation we do a walk through to find broke things to report to the manager. THERE WAS NOTHING BROKEN. The house was super clean, and very close to the beach. I would stay in this rental again, I absolutely loved it.

Perfect beach stay

The house was very clean and welcoming. The neighborhood was quiet and so close to the beach. The only downfall, was the dryer didn't work well. We had to keep redrying our laundry multiple times. Otherwise, everhthing else worked just fine. Would definitely recommend staying here, and we will be back!

Awesome house - replace the back deck asap

I've wrestled with giving 4 or 5 stars, but I have to go with 4. The house is literally perfect with the exception of the back deck, which was dangerous to walk on and needs to be replaced asap. I'm fairly frustrated about it, because there was no heads up of any kind pointing to that, and I have an older father-in-law, and a 4 year old who could have fallen through a board. If the owners completely replace the back deck, add nice chairs (like the ones on the front porch), get rid of the plastic chairs and the crummy table...and add edison lights, some aesthetics to really make it nice (maybe flower box, big seating area with gas firepit or something) --- we will book this house 2-3 times per year every year. Without those things, we would probably poke around and look for another house to stay at, and I would be disappointed in doing so because literally everything else is absolutely fantastic.

Just like home - we’ll be back!

Crew Rest was home away from home for us. The moment we walked in, it was beautiful and so clean and refreshing. The decor and added upgrades were very well done. I loved the tiled floors, the updated kitchen and bathrooms, and the added hints of home (new lighting fixtures, wainscoting, shiplap, etc). The decor was simple, yet stunning. Even a washer and dryer (I LOVE returning home from vacation with all the laundry already done!!). It felt like home right away. The beds were so comfortable and my kids are asking for the mattress foam toppers already! The high speed internet kept everyone entertained and Netflix was a nice touch! And surprisingly the Adirondack chairs on the front porch were from a tiny little country store in our backyard back home - even more of a feeling of home!! The location of Crew Rest was perfect. We walked daily to and from the beach and to and from the pool. We rode bikes throughout the area and had a day trip bike route along 30A. The security of the garage gave us peace of mind for storing our bikes. The restaurants and retail shopping surrounds you at Crew Rest, but it is so quiet and quaint that you don’t even realize you are right in the heart of Destin yet in a quiet, peaceful subdivision. And the boat dock for our Crab Island adventure was only a 10 minute drive away. My husband and I were strategizing a similar bungalow purchase by day 2!! The only improvement I can think of would be use of the golf cart (we would have been willing to sanitize it top to bottom after use!). It would have made getting around even more convenient than lugging everything back and forth for a family of 5. Truly a great place to stay with so many conveniences of home. We would definitely stay again! Maybe bring cornhole boards for the long backyard next time!

Very Satisfied

I'm not one to leave very many reviews but I felt like I had to on this one. We were extremely pleased on the overall quality of this rental. It is in a prime location between beach access and access to all shopping and eating. I've already told family and friends about this house. Only thing I would change next time would be finding out about having access to the golf cart that was in the garage.

Nice Escape

This property was everything described in the listing and more! It was a great house for our long weekend away. The house was spotless upon arrival and the check in process was very simple. My kids really enjoyed the crew lounge. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils which made for making meals a breeze. We will definitely be back to this property!

Enjoyed our stay

"Crew Rest" is a cute, little bungalow in a nice neighborhood. The decor is very nice just like the photos show. The beach is a couple of blocks away--not too bad of a walk--easy access to shopping and Hwy 98. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and would return to "Crew Rest."
