Three Horses Ranch offers the perfect escape in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Located in Johnson City, this artsy gem is only thirty minutes from Fredericksburg and just minutes from several wonderful wineries. A plethora of activities and stunning scenery await you at the famous Pedernales Fall State Park just a short fifteen minute drive away.
At the ranch the serenity of your surroundings are sure to melt away your troubles. Take in the beauty of a starry night sky as you unwind in your private swimming pool or lounge on the large deck right outside your back door as you watch the deer grazing nearby. A hammock provides a relaxing spot for a nap in the breeze, and on those chilly winter nights gather around the outdoor fire pit with hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows. There is a very friendly dog and a cat at this property.

This delightful retreat has an open floor plan with an inviting living room, kitchen and dining area. The master suite offers a queen bed and a cheery private bath. In the living area the queen sofa sleeper allows for two additional guests who will enjoy the comfort and convenience of their own full bathroom.

Valentine’s Day - Gateway

Property was just as described, it had everything you would need from pot and pants to extra towels and sheets of all sizes. The outdoor area was great it was too cold to get in the pool but the hot tub was great!!The only negative thing I can say was that I expected to meet the owner or at least the person that was in charge of taking care of the property. Just to get information about the area or tell us about the property and animals.But overall I would definitely book again!

Could try quiet

Great location in the country but close to Johnson City! Not a fancy property but it was clean, quiet & comfortable, just like we want when we are traveling. I wish d we had time to enjoy the hot tub & pool, maybe next time! Thank you for the well equipped " Barndo" !

Worst experience ever.

We arrived at the building and the owner was doing her laundry in the location we were supposed to stay. The entire place smelled like a dirty dog or farm animals, there were dog beds, blankets and stuff everywhere because she thought we had dogs. I explained that we both could not stand the smell. Tami told me to call the office and to have them call her and she would let us out of the reservation. When I contacted the office they told me that they spoke with her and she was not going to let us out of the reservation. I did book another location to stay but I am not satisfied with not getting a refund and I do not feel like I should have to pay since Tami stated that she would let me out of the reservastiobn. I would greatly like for the manger/owner to contact me please.

Secluded and Relaxing

My sister, daughter and I had a great girls trip! We enjoyed all the hiking in the area and came back to enjoy the pool and hot tub! At night, you could sit and see all the stars.

So peaceful!

This was the best rental we have stayed in. It was so peaceful!!! The place was really clean, everything thing we needed was already there. The only thing we had to buy was food. . I would definitely recommend this place if you want to get away from the city life and

Beautiful setting

Absolutely beautiful property and very well appointed home. Spent the day reading by the pool and had great meals in nearby Johnson City - a very relaxing getaway!

Peaceful country home

We love the relaxed ecclectic style of this place. You can sit by the pool and watch wildlife or cozy up with a good book on the soft couch. We also love to visit with the horses and then take long walks down a country road. Definitely a good place to get some r&r.

Private Hill Country Home Away from Home!

We had a wonderful time at 3 Horse Ranch! The location was fantastic! Close enough to town for anything you need, but far enough away for some peace and quiet. It was exactly as listed. The owner took great care and consideration of everyone’s needs and it was so clean! The cleanest VRBO we have stayed at so far. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the animals were also a delight. We highly recommend and would stay here again.

Great peaceful getaway!!

What a great place in the country and the host made sure we had wverything we needed at the property! Beds were very comfortable and kitchen was fully stocked! Will certainly book another stay in the near future!

Mid Week Get Away

Property was great! Quiet relaxing and comfortable! All the feelings of home. Was very clean and easy to access. We had a great time, however it was a bit cool to enjoy the pool. We did however enjoy the Hot tub on the stary nights! Host was great very private and did not disturb us!

Anniversary retreat

This cottage provided a peaceful and relaxing retreat. It was clean and had amenities as listed. It was too cool for us to use the pool, but we enjoyed sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful wildflowers and basking in the quiet. We drove around many counties in the area visiting Fredericksburg, Dripping Springs, Kerrville, and Marble Falls. Enjoyed shopping, visiting wineries and distillery. One suggestion that my husband had was to move the bathroom mirror up 3 inches for taller folks. Thanks for providing this charming cottage for people to enjoy.
