This place was the cutest VRBO I’ve ever stayed it. I loved all of the architecture, decorations & details this included. I wish I would have planned for more time spent just here at the studio. But as it was my first visit to Sedona, I was out exploring most of the time. However I would have loved to stay longer, and use the fire table, front porch lounge, hammocks & meditation space. The host was extremely receptive providing personal cell just prior to the visit & also a binder on the coffee table with recommendations. Would definitely stay here again & highly recommend it to others.

Lifechanging

As others have said, the posted description and photos do not do this property justice. And one of the best things about the studio, isn’t even the stunning location and view…the owners take over the top spot. I travel all over the world, all of the time. I have never felt as welcome or cared for. Jane and Eric are not at all intrusive, but are there to help with any and all questions about things to do, and how best to navigate not only the property, but the region. And the studio itself? It was magical for me. If you’re looking for “energy” in Sedona, this is the spot. You’re cradled by Chapel Hill, and the unit itself is swarming with a creative buzz (at least for me)…and I think it’s because Jane’s dad built it as an art studio. I came out of a five year creative slump and was finally able to write and paint again.With the hammocks, meditation spot (my first experience of FINALLY having a deep meditation experience), and the Flinstone rock-chair (unbelievably comfortable) fire circle, you really never have to leave the property.The property abuts the National Forest and beautiful trails in either direction.I say book this property, and have a grand adventure.!

Perfect for a solo trip

This was a perfect place to get away for a solo trip. The location is ideal for quiet solitude. It is in a neighborhood, and co-located with the hosts’ house. They are lovely people, so kind and friendly. Don't come here to party, it would just be rude and completely disrespectful. Hiking trails right off the property, perfect for getting out early and before the jeep tours. I had an amazing two nights here, plan on bringing my husband back. Next time for longer. It was wonderful.

Heaven on Earth

There are no words to truly capture the magic of this space. The location, the decor, the absolutely amazing hosts. It’s a space to treasure, relax and soak in the beauty of Sedona. THIS is Sedona…wrapped in the beauty of the red rocks and drenched in the starlight at night. Thank you Jane and Eric for sharing your little piece of Heaven on Earth.

This was easily the best VRBO I ever stayed at. The view from the patio was exceptional - a panoramic view of Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, Cathedral Rock and the Chapel of the Holy Cross). We enjoyed bird watching from the patio during he day and star-gazing in the evening. The owners lived next door and provided us with an insider's knowledge of the Sedona area which my wife and I greatly appreciated. Easy access to the nearby Chapel Trail made it super easy to start our day with a scenic hike. I enthusiastically recommend this property!

Idyllic Sedona Experience

I feel like I am one of hundreds of reviews that will rave about this home. I have been coming to Sedona for 30 years and staying at the Studio rates as my #1 place to stay. Not only is the studio beautiful and unique, the property and location were perfect. The hosts were friendly, flexible, helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay special. I can't wait to plan my next visit and have already sent the details to over 5 other friends to recommend. This place is so very special. Thank you Eric and Jane for sharing your beautiful space with us on our anniversary!

Magical!

Photos can't do this awesome place justice. This has to be one of the best views in Sedona and to top it off you can walk out of the back gate, into the park and get even more stunning views with just a short walk onto the trail. The studio was very clean and Jane was extremely responsive, kind and accommodating. I would recommend this space to any couple who is considering a trip to Sedona.

I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else!

What an absolutely magical studio and perfect location for a stay in Sedona! The views are spectacular from every window! The studio itself was very clean and comfortable, and it was an absolutely wonderful place to wind down after being out during the day. There is access to some great trails right from the backyard that are very much worth taking. Eric and Jane are very accommodating and have a wealth of knowledge about the area - They are super quick to respond to any questions and recommend hikes/restaurants/etc. It is such a lovely place, and we are already thinking of our next trip back. The views are worth mentioning twice - I CANNOT overstate how incredible they are from this rental! Do yourself a favor and book a stay at this wonderful place!

It feels like you are sleeping under the stars and waking up to the up close mountains is breathtaking! The hosts were friendly and the area is so peaceful! I would highly recommend it and we are looking forward to going back!

OMG.Drive up to the studio and it's breathtakingly gorgeous. In and out.Jane and Eric's studio was the perfect home base for our 4 days in Sedona. We would have spent longer if we could have.Everything you need is inside the studio. Jane and Eric have paid attention to small details, both aesthetically and practically. The studio is cleverly arranged for guests' every need.The bed is super comfy; there are ample places to sit and take advantage of the surroundings; the cooking facilities engaged my creative spirit and we made use of every amenity provided; the shower-well-it's a knockout as well as spendidly functional; the location allows you to access a variety of trails without needing to get in your car-a real plus with Sedona parking and traffic being what it is; no matter where you look there is a stunning landscape.Outside are multiple seating areas designed for views, peace, quietude, and comfort in mind. Sunrise, daytime, sunset, and the night sky are staggering! Breathtaking! And SO easy to take advantage of!And owners Jane and Eric are terrific. We appreciated the water and treats, they welcomed us enthusiastically, and provided us with some accommodations when asked for.I am telling everybody about this Studio. Everything you read on this site is true.Only it's better in person.This rental was one of the best we've ever stayed in in our many many decades of travel!

Absolute Best Location!

The property is truly a 10/10. I spent hours researching every hotel and rental in Sedona, and none of them despite the price, got me very excited. The studio was everything we thought it would be and more! If you want peace and serenity literally feet from the red rocks you will find it here. The views in every direction are to die for. The studio has everything you need, and the window by the bed is INSANE. The hosts are very welcoming, and will answer any questions about the area that you might have.

Sedona Gem!

My husband and I stayed at the Sedona Studio for our 25th anniversary. The studio is exactly as promised! The location alone is worth 5+ stars - just a short walk out the back gate leads you to hundreds of acres of indescribably beautiful red rock trails. A short hike takes you to the Chapel of the Holy Cross, and many other hiking trails are within a short drive. There are breath-taking views of Sedona out every window and in every direction from the studio. We even saw a group of javalina walk by from the safety of the porch!Inside the studio itself, the environment is cozy, bright and very comfortable. We had everything we needed to eat light meals/snacks there. The shower is amazing! The studio is decorated with artwork and mementos that are quintessentially Sedonan and meaningful to the hosts and their family members who spent time there. This space is more than ample for 2 people, as long as you are comfortable with each other. It offers considerable privacy from the hustle and bustle of Sedona (the town itself), but little privacy from the person you're staying with! This was not an issue for us at all. We had excellent communication from our hosts every step of the way, and enjoyed meeting Eric on arrival and departure. It was a perfect stay in a perfect place. If we are lucky enough to re-visit Sedona in the future, we will definitely stay here again!

This place was absolutely perfect! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay, better views, and even better hospitality! This is hands down one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed it! If I could give more stars I would

Everything about this stay was beautiful: the location, the views, easy access to hiking, the stars at night.. All of this made our trip to Sedona one of the best & most relaxing ‘get off the grid’ stays that you could get. On top of that the hosts are absolutely fantastic. You couldn’t find a more helpful, welcoming, & accommodating couple who respects your space & time & who also lets you know where all of the hidden gems Sedona are. We will definitely be back!

Such a Gift!

I absolutely loved this property. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place. It was exactly what I was hoping for my solo Sedona trip. The casita was adorable and the views were stunning. The hosts (Eric and Jane) were so kind, helpful and personable. Although this rental is connected to the home, it feels very private. The hosts have gone to great lengths to offer their guests a special experience. The outdoor meditation/relaxation was a great place to sit and unwind. I even saw a javelina pass through. I felt immersed in nature and really enjoyed the trails that are just a few yards away. I walked up to Chicken Point, where I spread some of my dads ashes. This place will always have a special connection for me. . It’s a remarkable area. I’ll be back!

A beautiful treasure

We stayed the first 2 nights in March. This property really is a treasure. Clean, comfortable and private, it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. I was looking so forward to hiking from the property, using the telescopes for star gazing, napping in the hammocks and doing some journal writing from the meditation area, BUT IT SNOWED 8 INCHES!!! and so now I have a really good excuse to come back!! The artwork throughout the property is beautiful and we admired it each day. Jane and Eric are wonderful! They were prompt in answering any questions we had and were very accommodating, even offering us snow boots to hike if we needed. The location was great, close to everything in Sedona, hikes (the Subway Cave is a must!), restaurants and shopping. Do not hesitate to book this property. You won't regret it!

Fantastic Place

My wife and I stayed 7 nights ( late march 2023) and had a fantastic week at the Studio and in Sedona in General. The owners Eric and Jane are incredibly nice and hospitable. The studio was very enjoyable to stay for week. We loved it ! The view from both sides of the house are phenomenal! Waking up in bed to view of the canyon wall as the sun rises was amazing (although it makes it easy to wake up early ). The place is very cozy. The only very small issue for a couple is a slight lack of privacy to each other (it’s all one room ), but it was not a big deal for us. All in all we loved the place and would return in a heartbeat ! Rob and Christina

A special and beautiful place

First of all, this property has very personal value for the owners, so if you don't want to stay somewhere you need to respect, this isn't the place for you. For everyone else, this place is magical. The red rocks and trails are right in your backyard, and the neighborhood is nearly silent. The room is colorful, whimsical, and charming. There really isn't space to cook but there is a hot plate and a microwave. This used to be creative space for an artist so it may not be as practical as some would like, but we found it more than acceptable. You're only 5-45 minutes away from anything in Sedona, the Clarkdale train or Jerome, and an hour south of Flagstaff. The property has wonderful amenties on-site as well. Really can't say enough good things about it. It's a unique place inside and out.

Fabulous!

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay for our short two day visit. The studio is wonderful and the property with the most incredible views of the massive rock formations is amazing! The included telescopes in the adjacent desert were great for looking at the night sky full of stars! Jane and Eric are wonderful hosts and we can’t wait to come back!

Great Views - Extensive Checkout Rules

This place is truly a gem. The views of the rock formations from the bedroom are incredible, the patio is ideal for relaxation and taking in the views of the surrounding area, the grounds are fun to lounge and relax in, and the place is directly connected to the expansive hiking trail system. I can easily recommend this place to anyone interested in staying in Sedona and having the closest connection with nature and the natural beauty of this area. Still, there are a couple of things you should keep in mind if you are considering booking here. First, several pictures in the listing show a cool fire pit with unique stone seating around it. However, you are not permitted to use the firepit. We asked the host when we were there, and she said this prohibition was due to strict local fire laws. I understand that you can use the fire pit area for sitting, especially during the day, but it's a fire pit, and nothing in the listing says you cannot use it for fire, so this was misleading and disappointing to us. If you hope to watch the stars and make smores around this fire pit, think again. Also, the hosts are especially conciencious about noise, and the house rules state that if you are too loud (as determined by the host), then you will be a given a single warning. If you violate this warning again, you will be kicked out onto the street instantly. I understand that this is a quiet area, and I am personally always considerate of this, but when you are on vacation, the last thing you want looming over your stay is the possibility of being kicked out in the middle of the night. This is a fairly draconian rule, and I believe such concerns should be addressed in a different manner. Nevertheless, we didn't have any issues with this when we stayed here. Also, the rules for checkout are pretty extreme. We had to place all the linens and towels in a pile, change out the garbage and recycling, and clean and dry all dishes we used before leaving. We were also encouraged to leave everything exactly as we found it, or we would be charged hundreds of dollars in fees. Finally, it's important to underscore the fact that you can't really prepare any food in this suite as there isn't a proper kitchen. A kitchen isn't mentioned on the listing, so I can't really dock them for this. Ultimately, this place is excellent, and I recommend it, but the checkout rules were egregiously extensive considering what we paid per night to stay here.
