Beautiful views with large deck right on Mousam Lake. Perfect location on the main lake for swimming and water skiing! Use of dock, swim float dock, kayaks, paddle board, fire pit, hammock, and other outdoor activities included. Note - docks are in mid-spring thru early fall. Sleeps 6-8. Master with queen bed and en suite full bath on main level. Upstairs guest rooms with queen bed and another with two twin beds and half bath. Guest full bath on main level. Bunk room with double bunk beds and additional private full bath. Fireplace, central air, full updated kitchen, living room features 5 double glass slider doors out to the deck over the water with beautiful water views from every room.

Mousam Lake

We had a wonderful stay. Enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning from the deck that sits right on the lake. Host answered questions promptly and made our stay very welcoming. We will definitely be returning.

very roomy excellent accommodation beautiful lake view very close to hunting area, a little frustrated with all the areas shopping closure and closing times places closed on Sundays. I will return to this place again very gracious host, I left an important item I will need to talk to them about. but this is one of the best places to stay.

The home was very cute and clean, and we really enjoyed our stay while in town for my son’s wedding—especially with the venue just minutes away! We would definitely recommend it. A few small things to note: there were no closets to hang clothes, and finding things like toilet paper or sheets felt a bit like a treasure hunt. Light switches were also a little tricky, and we had to make our own beds when we arrived. All minor inconveniences that we managed to muddle through, but worth mentioning. Overall, a solid 4 out of 5 stars!

Perfect Autumn Retreat

We gathered for a family wedding in the area. The property was the perfect location to be close to family and the wedding venue. The location on the lake was beautiful. I chose it knowing that even if the weather had been rainy and cold the view would have been lovely. As it turns out the weather was PERFECT for enjoying the d Ck in the morning sun and enjoying a crackling fire when the sun veinings turned cold. I can only imagine what it’s like to stay at this property in the warmer months!

Wonderful property

My family and I had a great vacation here again! The property is fantastic inside and out with plenty of room to spread out. The deck is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view of the lake. The living room/dining room area is cozy and comfy. The swim area is clean and perfect for young children. Communication with Jill was easy and top notch. She was very accommodating to all requests. We will definitely return again.

Great Spot

Loved our stay at this lovely home on Mousam Lake. Super clean , well appointed, and comfortable . Great deck right on the water with beautiful views. Super close to the wedding venue we were heading to, it could not have been more convenient. Would really like to return during the summer months for a fun few days in the lake!!! Easy access and lots of water toys. Highly recommend. Thank you to the gracious hosts for accommodating our request. Greatly appreciated

Lovely time at the Lake House

The house is set up really well for family or friends to be together on the first floor, the deck or down by the water. We were able to get a second house rental for my elderly parents just a few minutes away, but they came over for meals and to spend time by the lake. We enjoyed having access to the kayaks, canoe and paddle boats and were out on the water every day. The lake is gorgeous, although it was very busy with motorized boats the first really nice summer-ish day. Acton Trading Post was a quick drive for basics/firewood, and we were grateful that there were a few basics in the pantry like flour, salt, etc. The giant grill was great! We had fun fishing off the dock (catch and release) with the rods in the kid's room. My only regret is that I wish I had rented a pontoon despite the spotty weather.

Relaxation

The lake house was set for relaxation. Large deck and plenty of windows to just gaze out over the lake and soak in the sun. Amenities were great, we didn’t need anything else. Looking forward to going back!

Amazing vacation spot!!

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We felt "at home" from the moment we arrived. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms worked out perfectly for 4 adults and 3 teenage girls. The location of the property is perfect and quiet being at the end of the street. I enjoyed walking 13th street as well. We loved the kayaks, paddleboard, hammock and dock for our pontoon boat. Everything was perfect!!!

If I could give it 6 stars I would.

So much on the property for all to enjoy the lake. Bring nothing but your bathing suits and food. We had so much fun especially the kids but we also got some good laughs from the adults trying the paddle board and kyacks.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home! Home was very large and plenty of out door equipment for lake we’re provided. We really enjoyed the large outdoor deck too:) would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful lake house and perfect location

Our stay at the lake house was the best we have stayed in Southern Maine. We have been staying around Shapleigh ME since 2012 as a family. Our Father has been coming to Maine since 1987 hunting and fishing and this was the best stay he has had by far he is 89 years young, with my brother and his four grandsons. We loved the accommodations and the generosity of our host Jill. Jill was at our well being the hole time of our stay. Again thank you Jill the perfect host. Lenny

Peaceful, clean, adorable waterfront stay.

This lakefront home was just as pictured, if not better. Adorable, comfy, clean, convenient. The deck and living space was spacious, the views were sweeping. (Sunrises every morning!) And the lake was very quiet and peaceful. It was just what we needed for a late summer recharge. I would absolutely recommend this to someone looking for a quiet getaway that’s as interested in aquatic fun as they are quiet evenings lakeside. Wonderful.

Relaxing Stay

A beautiful lake!! The view is amazing! You are able to use the canoe, kayaks, and paddle boat and the water was right at the dock. Everything is provided for you. You will have an an amazing time and the host Jill was so helpful and kind. Will definitely stay again. Thank you again Jill and Shawn.

Hidden gem

This home was amazing. We shared it with another family and couldn’t be happier. There was plenty of room for the eight of us and the access to the lake was so easy. The home is well kept and there is plenty to do for all ages. The owners could not have been more accommodating and helpful throughout the process. Would book again in a heartbeat.

OMG Fabulous!!!

Y'all need to stay here! This home was tremendous! We fell in love with it. The owners are super responsive, positive, and easy to connect. The home has plenty of space for family and is very comfortable. The lake views are breathtaking! It feels like you are on a house boat when you look out at the lake, as you are literally right on the water! The lake toys (kayaks, paddle boat, canoe, life jackets, etc.) were awesome. The kids have a new hobby now (kayaking)! I highly recommend this place to anyone! We had a few easy day trips to various locations as well, and some great hiking trails nearby. Don't hesitate - just book it! I hope we can come back some day!
