From doctors to guests to bees, this house has a lot of history!

This unique home was built in 1938 for Doctor & Mrs. Farley G. Eskelson. Dr. Eskelson was a prominent physician in Vernal from 1932 until his retirement in 1955. He was the owner and operator of the Uintah Basin Hospital, which was located right next door in what is now the Parrish Hall of the Episcopal Church. Local legend says that Dr. Eskelson built an underground passage directly from this home to the hospital.

When the old Zion’s Bank was updated, Dr. Eskelson took pieces of wood to add character and charm to the home. You can see his original handiwork in the wood walls and ceiling in the downstairs Rec Room.

This property was renovated in 2014, to become the “Main Street Manor Bed & Breakfast.” The wood floors in the dining room and each bedroom are the original floors; many other fixtures in the home were also preserved.

Later, a colony of industrious bees found this home so appealing, they built a massive comb right in the walls! Caring people were able to relocate the bees, and the new owners renamed this property “The Honeybee Inn” in 2019.

Each bedroom is unique, offering its own private full bath with pedestal tub, sink and toilet. Our plush queen-sized mattresses are topped with luxurious percale sheets and comforters to give you a great night's sleep! We offer soaps, shampoos and towels for your convenience, plus an in-room TV and DVD player. The heavy-duty blinds can be opened to let the morning light in or closed for full privacy and added darkness.

Our spacious gathering rooms are perfect for family parties, baby showers, girls' nights out, spa days or anything you can imagine!

We keep our breakfast nook stocked with a fresh hot-and-cold water dispenser, coffees, teas, and other goodies to start your day off right.

​The full kitchen and dining room provide a personal space to cook and eat together. Kitchen amenities include pots and pans; plates; cups and cutlery; as well as cooking utensils.

And finally, the downstairs Rec Room is so cozy, with its wrap-around seating, television, chess table and electric fireplace. The wood paneling was taken from the old Zion's Bank (also known as the "Parcel Post Bank") in Vernal. It was installed by the original owner in the 1940's.
