This house was great for what we needed over Father’s Day weekend, which was a spillover to sleep more of us. We had another house across the street that we used as our main house to hang out and cook. Definitely worked well for us and everyone was comfortable.

house manager was very efficient; and easy to reach when needed. Home was great!

home accommodated the 6 adults very easily; it was very clean and close to the Avalon village; only about a 10-15 min. walk to ferry dock.

Great House!

We really enjoyed out stay at this property! The house is in the perfect location to access all the restaurants, shops, and the beach. We were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go. The only thing that would have been nice was more pots and pans as the selection was really limited which made meal prep for 5 people difficult, otherwise everything was fantastic and we had the best time!

Location is Great … but

Things that we loved were the great location close to town and comfortable beds. High ceilings made the tiny place feel more spacious. Things we didn’t love were no closets, TVs didn’t work, fireplaces didn’t work. Others mentioned the uncomfortable sofa in the living room and it’s true, we couldn’t relax on it. The place was otherwise well equipped and clean but for the amount that we paid, I don’t think we would return.

Great house and location! Poor communications from local guest contact

The house was clean and had all the supplies needed for a very comfortable 6 day stay. We've stayed in different homes on the island in previous summers and the location of this house was by far the best. Convenient to everything! Our only bad experience was with the local guest contact, Veronica. We contacted her on the day of check-in and her response time took several hours. She promised an update by a certain time and still ignored us even after a call and follow up text message. She finally provided an update for our check in (hours later) and I could tell from her text that she lied or misrepresented what she said she would do to avoid having to do extra legwork. Towards the end of the trip, I asked her a question about the trash bins in front of the house and she never replied. Ever. Other than this, the Evolve Management team was fantastic with pre-trip communications and the house in great condition. It's unfortunate that their local guest contact's unhelpfulness left a sour taste.

Perfect Location!

This house is in the perfect location. We had planned to rent a golf cart but we did not need to because we were so close to shopping, touring and eating.

Plenty of beach towels and even a few pairs of water shoes to make getting into the water nice and easy. Loved the location and nearby restaurants. NKMK was my favorite but by a narrow margin! Got out to do walk/hikes every day to enjoy the mornings and got to swim in the Pacific every afternoon. Fantastic vacation. Looking forward to going back soon...

Summer Vacation

A nice, clean newly remodeled property (a big plus as some Catalina rentals are very old and dirty). Very nice kitchen and nice TV's in the rooms. One criticism - a wicker couch? Felt like outdoor furniture. Not comfortable. Smaller criticism, probably should include some pictures of the very narrow Jacobs Ladder that takes you to the second story.

Better than expected for the price.

Overall a very nice stay. Home stayed cool all day and had plenty of room for 4 adults. Sofa was not comfortable but other than that everything was good

this house was beautifully created to offer a comfortable and convenient experience. A lot of precious and memorable moments were made and we will definitely consider this house the next time we visit! Veronica was super welcoming and we never had any issues! We couldn't have experienced Catalina Island any better than the way we did!

Wonderful house with an amazing location

We had a family trip to Avalon for 3 nights and stayed at this house. The location is fantastic, a short 5 min walk to the pier and all the shops, restaurants and bars. Von's supermarket is a 4 min walk from this house which is a big plus. The only bad comment I would have is the rug in the main sitting area is a little dirty and old and should be changed. The beds were very comfortable with nice clean linen and lots of towels. Also, there is a big cabinet full of beach play toys for all ages to play with. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would stay at this house again.

Wonderful Cottage for 6

Had a wedding on the island and we used this cottage as our base. Clean and comfortable. An easy walk to the Ocean Front. Nice kitchen. The only odd thing was the lack of closets for hanging clothes. If you plan on using the loft, use the back door and back stairs for luggage! The smallest spiral staircase I have ever seen.

Clean, comfy, and close to everything

The house was clean and comfy. The layout worked great. Love the upstairs room, but those stairs... typical in Catalina to have a tight spiral staircase... beds were comfortable (always a priority). Kitchen was ok - very small - no mixing bowls or ovenware... but a bonus was the Keurig. The best part of the rental was Veronica, the local contact (house manager)... she was fantastic! Very responsive and a pleasure to chat with...
