Don’t come here expecting luxurious accommodations but absolutely come here for a lovely view, thoughtful extras like a wood burning fire pit, a propane fire pit on the back deck with grill and string lights. Wonderful wood burning fireplace and a big picture window and covered front porch to take in the view of the mountains.Do come here for the location. Close to the main highway, just minutes to Blowing Rock and Boone! Like to hike? There is a hiking trail a few minutes from the cabin.And lastly, do come here knowing you have a host who will very quickly get back with you if you have any questions or concerns. He made us feel so welcome! We highly recommend this place!

This cabin is the perfect location. Remote enough that is quiet and relaxing, yet close enough to downtown Blowing Rock. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. Host was very helpful, responsive, and kind!

My family had a great stay at this cabin. The location is in a quiet spot, but still very convenient to Boone and Blowing Rock. It is in good shape with a functional kitchen and plenty of sleeping space. And it was well-stocked like other reviews note. The host checked in periodically (via text message) to make sure we got settled and had what we needed.Having a yard to play in was a treat. It's really helpful with young kids, and not an option with a lot of other cabins. It's not totally flat, but good enough for kids to run around in and for various lawn games. My family got good use of the cornhole set that was there! And having some indoor options downstairs was nice too - we played some ping pong and air hockey.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back again!

Great location/excellent host

We had the best trip! The BR cabin location is perfect! Close to downtown Blowing Rock, Tweetsie, grocery store but still in the mountains. Beautiful porch and yard to play, lots of deer sightings which excited our kids. The host was great, checking in and offering great family friendly suggestions Highly recommend and looking forward to booking again!

Always the best!

This is our fourth year staying at the cabin and I’ll be booking again for a fifth. Tony is so helpful with the property and things to do. It’s a perfect location.

Perfection!

We had an amazing time at the cabin! The location was perfect for us. It was about 10 minutes to App Ski Mountain and close to downtown Blowing Rock. We really appreciated how well-stocked the cabin was! They had all the little that many rentals don't, including spices, aluminum foil, baggies, storage containers, cooking spray, olive oil, salt and pepper etc. They literally had everything! We had a blast playing ping pong, air hockey and foosball! The reading nook and library were also stellar. We'll be back!

Another great stay

We traveled to NC from TX for annual fall trip to the High Country. Unfortunately our trip was only a couple weeks after Hurricane Helene which had a big impact on much of the area. We really appreciated that Tony kept his cabin open and many businesses worked hard to maintain service soon after the event. After many years living in Houston, we know that it’s important for businesses to be allowed to operate as soon as possible to keep their livelihoods after a big weather event. Although some of the major tourist attractions we normally go to were closed , we really enjoyed spending more time going to the local restaurants and taking longer hikes into the areas that were closed off from the highway due to the storm. Hoping to be back in the future!

Great Location for a Mountain Escape

Our family had a wonderful two-week getaway at this cabin. We were just a couple minutes drive away from both Boone and Blowing Rock, so we were able to see many sights around the area.

Great location!

We stayed for a few days over spring break and had a great time! Weather was awesome. Kids loved all the indoor and outdoor game options and the big lawn space to be outside. Fire pits were so fun to have! Separate floor for kids to have bedroom/TV space made it extra fun for them. Owner checked in a few times to make sure everything was working good. Close to downtown area and hiking.

Christmas Weekend in Blowing Rock

We had a great time. The cabin was clean and cozy. It has everything you need. The upstairs bedroom is the nicest with more space and king bed. The bedrooms downstairs are small but served the purpose and would be fine for smaller children. We had adult children so the space felt small. The location was great - easy to get places. The fire pits outside were fun. Tony was a great host and even texted to check on us.

Great Cabin

We had a wonderful weekend at this mountain cabin. It was just as the pictures depicted. The house was clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic, just minutes from Boone and Blowing Rock while still feeling secluded. I chose the house for all the extras, fire pit, "toys", etc. We didn't get to spend a lot of time using those amenities because of our schedule. Hopefully, next time. Homeowner was always responsive and helpful. This house goes on my save list for the future!

Solitude and Convenience along Blue Ridge Parkway

We stayed at Blowing Rock Cabin the first weekend of October with our family as part of an annual trip we make to enjoy the Fall weather and take the kids to Tweetsie. Our kids were very excited upon arrival to find the basement game room and spent most of their time in that area—which was a relief for the adults. We were happy to find the cabin well stocked with all of the basics. The heating worked very well for the first cool nights of the fall season. We loved the location being able to get to either Boone or Blowing Rock within a very short drive. We also had great access to the nearby trails near Moses Cone to go running and hiking. There is even a short, secluded trail down the street at the Blue Ridge Conservancy which would be great as a morning run. Tony was an extremely communicative host and was readily available for any questions or concerns. We had no notable issues with check-in or check-out as everything went smoothly with the electronic lock. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our visit and would definitely look to staying in the future!

Great cabin

Everything was perfect. Just as described. We really enjoyed the game room, fire pit and proximity to Boone and Blowing Rock. Tony was easy to communicate with and provided any information you would need to have a great stay. House has anything you would need and was very clean. Highly recommend!

Very personable owner

We had a great experience. The cabin is in a great location close to Boone and Blowing Rock. Tony was great He communicated with us to welcome us and checked in on us during the stay via text. Will stay there again.

Blowing Rock Cabin

Outstanding property that is close to everything in Blowing Rock. We were there with our kids and grand kids. Lawn was so perfect for them to play! House has a great vibe and super comfy beds! Loves hanging out on the front porch and the kitchen was well equipped with all you need to cook some great meals! Grill was used every night too! Tony was so easy to communicate with! Great value and location!

We are an active family with two pre-teen girls that loves the outdoors. We love getting out to hike, and kayak, finding waterfalls and swimming holes and having lunch at one of the amazing overlooks on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We've been coming to the Blowing Rock area for about 15 years and finally found a place that we can call home. We know that you'll love the area just as much as we do and hope you come back again and again to discover new things to see and do around this incredible area.

The Location is Amazing. Set back in a quiet area but just five minutes away from restaurants, breweries, shopping, hiking and waterfalls. Or just sit on the front porch swing and look out at the Mountain View with a cup of coffee. At night choose from a wood fire pit in the yard, or relax on our back deck next to the gas fire under the string lights with a glass of wine. So close to everything but yet a world away!

One of the best things about the cabin is the large walk out basement that we turned into a game room / kids paradise. Large 65" TV for watching movies, ping pong, foosball, air hockey, board games, and a bunk bed room. Kids love the privacy and fun, while parents love having a quiet adult space on the main level. Everyone is happy!
