This spacious and sunlit contemporary post and beam home with cathedral ceilings is ideally located near town and privately situated on a hill. It is within walking distance of downtown Orleans (dining, shopping and Cape League Baseball opp games) with close proximity to town landings, Nauset Beach, and so much more! The long shell driveway leads through a newly planted orchard to the top of a hill to the front gate that opens up to a secluded and serene yard.

The home has three levels of living, and an expansive exterior front deck and rear patio with custom pergola that is located off the kitchen which makes perfect indoor/outdoor entertaining space for small family gatherings. A grand brick gas fireplace in the living room opens to the ceiling for those cool nights. The lofted third floor area offers additional living space, and there is a walkout finished lower level. There are 3 bedrooms 2 loft rooms sleeping areas with beds for a total of 10 guests comfortably.

Amenities include a dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee maker and an outdoor shower - linens and bathroom towels are provided. Beach toys and games, beach umbrellas and beach chairs, beach towels are available.
Kitchen sink and shower water filters installed. Spa and shower products will be restocked in all bathrooms and showers upon arrival.This is a true sanctuary. Looking for more activities besides time on the beach? Explore the beautiful bike trails nearby. We only have a few reviews since we have done many renovations. This is not your average vacation rental!

Excellent stay!

Our stay was excellent - the property was beautiful, airy, and well equipped for our group of 12. Everything from beach chairs to coffee cups to towels was perfectly accommodating for the group. The host was very kind and went over the top to make our stay comfortable. This has been one of my favorite properties we have stayed at and would recommend it to anyone - location is around the corner (easily walkable and otherwise quick drive) to breakfast spots, the beach, and great dinner spots. Loved everything - thank you for the hospitable stay.

Relaxing & Beautiful

The home is so beautiful and slept our group of 10 perfectly. The home has spa like features and a mostly open concept. The kitchen was well equipped and the home having 10 beach chairs available was super helpful. Close to both Nausset and Skaket beaches. Would recommend !

Girls’ weekend

This house was amazing! We stayed here for a girls’ weekend and it was absolutely perfect. The house is gorgeous and kept extremely clean. It was spacious and perfect for our group. The location was great - we were able to take trips to Chatham and Wellfleet as well as relax at the house. The hosts were also very accommodating and always quick to reply if I had questions. I would highly recommend this property and hope to stay here again!

Wonderful sea breeze

We're very grateful that the hosts were able to accommodate us at the last minute for a family trip to the Cape in August. The owners were responsive to our questions and provided useful information on the area. The house is unique and comfortable, located up on a hill with a wonderful sea breeze so we could spend much of the time with the windows open. The firepit was a hit with everyone in our family. Family Vacation

Thank you for a fun bungalow to enjoy a weekend away with the family. The house fits 10 very comfortably - it’s updated, comfy beds and plenty of bathrooms for sharing amongst the bigger group. There are also beach towels and chairs available. We brought a projector to enjoy a movie as there is no TV in the house, that works great for us. We do recommend the owners add a microwave for quick heat up of morning coffee and food items as well as have an exterminator come through at the beginning of the season. Easy fixes that would elevate the stay. Otherwise we really had a nice time! Very fun location and fit us all nicely.

Lovely house

Great place to stay for a group of 8! Was very clean, comfortable, and a great location. Good kitchen for cooking dinners and breakfast. I loved sitting out on the deck and drinking coffee, so peaceful! Will definitely stay again

Amazing hosts and great location

We had a very nice ten day long stay at Orleans Home of Richard with my adult children and their partners and two grandchildren. The location was ideal, with everything we needed less than a 10 minute drive from the house: multiple bay-side beaches, a nice farm based grocery store, the main drag with cute shops, ice cream and sandwich shops, and bike rental store right next to the cape cod rail trail. Richard went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were incredibly responsive, helped us plan a private chef for my daughter’s 30th birthday, and even gifted us fresh produce and allowed us to use delicious vegetables from their large garden. The house worked well for our needs too. The kitchen was well equipped with the exception of a microwave oven (we cooked most meals ourselves), including a dishwasher, and opened up into the living room, where we spent most of our time together in the house. The laundry machines came in handy often. The deck, fire pit, smoker grill and outdoor shower made the summer stay extra special. The house had plenty of bath and beach towels and very nice all natural/organic toiletries, and some beach toys for the grandchildren. One person was even able to work remotely during the week, however, the internet is somewhat spotty and not very fast. There is also no TV in the house (we loved that) The house did have a few quirks: mainly, there is not a ton of privacy. Two of the bedrooms are loft-style, without walls or doors, so they have little privacy or noise insulation. Another one of the rooms had a cut-out above the door, so it also lacked some noise insulation. Two other small bedrooms behind the fireplace are walk-through rooms. That was not a problem for us since we used one of them for storage and other one as a playroom for our grandchild. Although the sleeping areas worked out for us, I must admit that we were somewhat unprepared for this configuration since the images on the site did not make it very evident as to the exact nature of the bedrooms. On the whole, we had a terrific trip and were able to make it work with these quirks and have a great time. Thank you, Richard!

Great house for a friend vacation

We loved the house. A group of 7 adults rented this for a long weekend for a friends wedding. The most fully equipped kitchen for any rental house. The three full bathrooms were very handy. The owners were speedy to communicate and very friendly. Great place!

Terrific spot

We truly enjoyed our long weekend at this house. Centrally located near Orleans center and Nauset Beach, yet in a quiet location. Richard and Majda have done an amazing job with renovations and interior design to create a relaxing, calm environment. There were only 4 of us and we appreciated being able to spread out on multiple levels for our long weekend on the Cape. Thank you!

Couples Beach Weekend

We booked this property for a couples getaway and birthday celebration and we had such a great time! The house was so clean and a beautiful loft concept. It was great to be able to enjoy time by the fire and outside on the very large deck! Outdoor shower was fantastic and the towels were so soft! Would definitely recommend this property to any families or groups looking for a nice Cape weekend.

Our family has worked in hospitality for about 20 years and mostly on Cape Cod. We are trying to create a special summer rental for those special occasions. Our home is a work in progress and we only have a few rentals each summer. We will continue to make improvements to the property and so our guests can enjoy a unique experience. Situated on an acre on top of a hill, this property is unique in that it allows for privacy while being close to Town and beaches. This property should allow our guests to enjoy the local area without the need to drive and waste precious vacation time in traffic as the summer is a busy time for the Cape! Updated appliances and utilities should provide our guests with trouble-free vacationing.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

3 full baths and outdoor shower as well as a solar/gas hot water heater should provide adequate hot water for cleaning up after a beach day and for dinner time. Gardens outside are organic and will hopefully add to your meals. Outdoor fire pit will be developed into a relaxing area but can now be used as is in it's crude state.
