Flood

After two days, water had accumulated beneath the flooring and was bubbling through the vinyl tiles. Called, emailed and texted maintenance to no avail. We spent 4 of 7 days walking on floating vinyl tiles. Additionally would recommend the owner have beach towels and beach chairs and/or beach umbrella available.

Amazing condo on beach with A+ views!

I would give our recent stay in this condo ten stars if I could. The location of the unit and the unit itself were perfect for my husband and me. Location: This condo was literally steps from the beach. At first I was worried that the beachfront road in front of the building would be noisy, but that wasn’t the case at all. We hardly noticed the few cars that passed by. The building is in a quiet, residential neighborhood, and it was nice to be away from the more congested (and noisy) parts of Myrtle closer to the Boardwalk area. There is a bar & grill in another nearby building, but not much else within walking distance. However, many restaurants, grocery stores, and shops are within a few minutes’ drive. Unit: The condo was beautifully decorated in what I’d call a “casual beachy chic” style. The furniture, appliances, and finishes seemed new and updated. The pictures shown are 100% accurate, but they don’t even really do justice to how clean and beautiful the unit was. The unit was more than enough room for the two of us, but it might be a little tight for three or four adults. We could tell the owner really wanted guests to feel at home, as this unit had everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) we could possibly need to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The best part for us was the large balcony with high-topped table and chairs with a direct ocean view. Building: The building is a little older, but still clean and well-kept. There are three elevators, one of which wasn’t working, and the two others undergoing maintenance off and on. Still, we never had to wait long for an elevator. (The unit is on the 22nd floor, so stairs weren’t really an option.) The outdoor pool area was nice with plenty of lounge chairs. The building contained a good mix of permanent residents and vacationers in rental units. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and the residents with whom we spoke seemed to really enjoy living there. The one downside of the building was the TIGHT ramps in the parking garage. We have a smaller crossover SUV, and we couldn’t make the turns without backing up each time. A larger vehicle would have a lot of problems maneuvering in the garage. I believe there is an area separate from the garage where larger vehicles could park. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here. If we return to Myrtle Beach, we will definitely be booking this unit again.
