This true beach cottage on Lake Michigan's Magnificent Mile, beautiful beachfront with only a slope to the shore, no steps to endure. Live on the beach or walk to town for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Bring all the float toys you want or even pull your boat or jet ski right up to our shore for the day, it's your choice.

Enjoy an adult beverage on our private beach during the day or a fine bottle of wine at your bonfire after the sun goes down. We've spent many a night watching the sun go down, gazing at the stars. When not on the beach hang on our common area large deck or in our quaint cottage with views of the lake.

This is one of the original South Haven cottages that has been meticulously maintained to please the most discriminant beach goer who is looking for that unique and memorable experience.

***Best for small family or romantic getaway. Ideal for 2 adults and up to 2 small children. This unit has a studio style layout with a queen bed and full couch/futon.

3 day stay

We had a wonderful 3 days. The cottage was thoughtfully remodeled while maintaining a “cottage on the lake” feeling. We hope to return next year.

Lake Michigan getaway

Very nice. Perfect for 2 people. Had everything we needed. Great view from back deck. Really enjoyed the sunsets! Private beach was a plus. We did find the climb from the beach back up to the deck was difficult! Wishing there were steps. Felt like we were climbing a sand dune!

Family Friendly Setting

This is our 4th year. We enjoy being here with our son, his spouse and very our young grandchildren. It's so easy to enjoy the beach, kayaking and sunsets with the ease of not having to drag everything down to the large public beach. We appreciate the quality of the units and the upkeep of the overall property.

Would stay again

The cottage was charming and perfect for three adults. Owner was easy to contact and answered all questions in a timely manner. Sunsets were beautiful. Other guests became friends.

Perfect place for a first solo trip!

This place is perfect for a solo trip. The cottage was so cozy, clean, and felt like home. It is right on the beach and only a couple minutes from downtown, which was super convenient. You have a perfect opportunity to watch the beautiful sunset every night as well right outside your door. It was a great experience!

Cozy Cottage on Lake Michigan

We've stayed in this property for the past 5 years and it truly is magical. We really lucked out in stumbling upon this place. You are right on the private beach and less than 10 minutes from town. It's the best that South Haven has to offer.

private retreat

We were there before the summer rush and while kids are still in school. There were never more than five people on the beach at any given time. I so appreciated the ability to have a fire while watching the sunset. and I Loved being able to take a kayak out on the lake. We will be back!

A beautiful home away from home!

The "cottage on the beach" is an elegant and charming home away from home. A short walk out the front door to stroll on the beach and watch the sunset never fails to please. The cottage is exceptionally clean, updated, and designed with all the conveniences of home. You cannot ask for a better location, as the walkability and accessibility into South Haven are exceptional. Our annual visit gets better and better with each stay. 25th Wedding Anniversary

The cottage was cute and clean. Two things though although there is a slope down to the shore once on the sand, there are a number of concrete steps getting there. I am still recovering from a knee replacement and it was somewhat challenging. Also Cottage 3 is right next to the public access so privacy was an issue, people looking in as they walked by.

Updated cottage in a beautiful location on the lake.

We thoroughly enjoyed this small but well appointed cottage on the lake. Part of the lovely town of South Haven, the cottage is close to everything, including many restaurants and shops but feels surprisingly private.The patio with a charcoal grill was a bonus. We hope to stay again.

A Little Slice of Paradise

This is our second year in this little cottage and once again it did not disappoint!! It is perfectly located on the beach and is a short walk to town. The cottage is perfectly organized with baskets and hooks to store your belongings. We are already looking forward to going back next year!!
