The house was cleaned but there is carpet upstairs and you can smell urine from animals who have stayed. There were two really big holes in concrete driveway, we have two wheels damaged from it. The house overall needs improvements but we made the most of it. For the location and price it really does need some TLC!

We absolutely loved the property. It has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, which were perfect for our crew. You do have to bring basics. Pack salt and pepper, sandwich bags, foil, toilet paper, and beach towels. They do supply a good number of towels and washcloths, and take care of the sheets.We had some issues connecting with the property manager, but VRBO helped us resolve those issues before arriving.

We were very happy with the rental we stayed at. It was exactly as described and we were very happy about that. We wanted something right on the beach and this was that. We have been to condos in Destin that were within walking to the beach but this was right on Navarre beach with shared access with 5 other beach houses. It made going to the beach easier than we have ever had. We had everything we needed for cooking. Only concern we had that wasn't the end of the world was that one room with bunk beds for kids was the only bedroom on the main floor with all other rooms upstairs. We didn't have an issue with our kids being down there alone as we set limits (like don't go outside) and locked the outside doors. The beach wasn't over crowded at all and very clean. We recommend this beach house to anyone.

Wonderful Family Vacation House

Most importantly, the house was a very short walk to the beach. The house was well equipped and the rooms were good. The mattress and pillows were not as comfortable as being at home, but what is?

We had a great stay! There was plenty of space and beds for our group of 9, and the location was perfectā€”just a short walk to the beach. Check-in was easy, the house was clean, and it had everything we needed. We did have to grab extra toilet paper, trash bags, and a kitchen sponge, but that wasnā€™t a big deal. Read another review about no blankets; the host explained those tend to walk off. Not a big deal either, we just packed our own. For the price and location, this place was awesome!A few things that could use some attention:* The balcony had several broken slats, so we didnā€™t allow our toddler out there.* The living room furniture and rug felt pretty dirty and could use a deep clean or replacement.* The balcony doors were difficult to latch and had to be deadbolted to stay closed.* The upstairs carpet had quite a few stains and smelled like mildew.Overall, we were very happy with our stay!

Just What We Needed

This was a GREAT property! We enjoyed ourselves SO much! The property was clean when we arrived, and we REALLY enjoyed the beach chairs and proximity of the house to the beach! Our kids even went to the local firehouse and got a tour from the nice firemen and women on a day where the weather wasn't favorable. It was a great time!

This house and its location was perfect for us. 4 adults, 4 teens, and 3 children. The only drawback was that there were no blankets. Had we known we would have brought our own. Everything else wonderful!

Great Navarre Beach rental

House worked well for our group of 13 mixed ages. Communication with management was excellent. The only improvement would be to add another hot water tank or a larger one. For this many people, thereā€™s not enough hot water for showers without waiting. Other than that, it was excellent.

3 negatives: not 1 blanket in the whole house. I would suggest a blanket in each bedroom closet. The kitchen cookware was inadequate and old. The outdoor grill had not been cleaned prior to us arriving. Positives: Great location just steps from the beach! We loved that they provided beach chairs. Loved the Adirondack chairs on front porch!

We will definitely re-supply the house with blankets, unfortunately blankets tend to "walk" with guests so they often have to be replaced. We will definitely upgrade the kitchen cookware and make sure it is supplied like it is supposed to be, that is a great suggestion. The grill must have been missed by our inspector, that should definitely been wiped down and cleaned prior to your arrival. Navarre Beach šŸ‘

The house was nice and the pictures online are a good representation! Everyone enjoyed our stay very much! Itā€™s basically on the beach which is nice too! For a house that allows dogs, it was very clean and had no pet smells either which I appreciated!! The only things Iā€™d recommend is to maybe have 6-8 beach chairs for guests to use and to clean up the outside area around the house. The landscape around the house has a lot of scrubby plants, but some have stickers which arenā€™t good for human (even wearing flip flops) or pet feet and there is some trash/construction debris littered around. So maybe trim and pickup could/should be done around the yard area?? Property Management was easy to reach and very helpful prior to our visit too. The house was great and we had a great time and would book again if we visit Navarre again!

Not as described or pictured.

Some pics look nothing like the house. Bedrooms and bathrooms specifically. The beds are in terrible shape. The bedding is old and paper thin. The bathrooms smell and there is mold. The closets barely open and are full of junk. The upstairs had dirty clothes in it. We stay In Navarre every year and this was not worth the money. Look elsewhere.

This review makes no sense - literally the two groups that stayed before this person both gave 5 stars and were very complimentary. A guest that makes a review like this usually has an agenda or something else going on in their lives and they decide to take it on a review. Additionally, we had a lot of rain and that never makes anyone happy - but the comment about mold is just slander and should not be allowed by VRBO. Read the previous other two reviews. SeaEsta Stay

Our stay was very nice, we enjoyed the house, and we ended up having 11 family members instead of the planned 13. The bunk room was awesome for the teens and one took to the couch. We didn't let the couch out for the bed because we could not find any bed sheets or cover for it. Nor could we any for the hide-a-bed in the master bedroom, which was pretty neat. But other than that we felt we could make do without calling anyone so we did. The only other thing was that there was not a shower outside but a broken hose at the spicket. So rinsed our legs the best we could before going in. None of this hindered us from having a great time, the proximity to the beach was awesome, met some great people during the stay! We will be back next year!

Potential

There's much potential with this house, but needs numerous leaks repaired. The leaks were not fixed. We had light rain & water was coming through the walls. These were not new leaks as the walls were soft, paint ruined & floors were starting to buckle. There was also leaks under two sinks which caused a strong odor (buckets had been placed underneath to catch water). When we called the agency about this they informed us the owners knew about all the problems & had not fixed them, disappointing. This house is in a great location & is decorated nicely, but if the major issues aren't fixed soon it will not be rentable.

We had a very stormy week and we had a slider door that was leaking significantly. The slider door has been replaced and we have had no issues since we got that work done. This is a great option to being right near the beach without having to pay for actual beach front. This is just steps away as you can see in the pictures and it is decorated very nice!

Great location

The house was in a great location, but the furniture was in very bad condition. Couches were so used that you could feel the springs in the seating, also very dirty. Beds were equally terrible. We were not in the house very much thankfully unless it was raining. There was a lot of old water damage from something that happened at some point in most of the cabinets. The furniture should really be addressed with the amount of rent being charged.

Great Location

Overall the house was very nice. Location was fabulous! House was very clean and everything was as listed and pictured. The bunk beds were absolutely perfect for our kids. Plenty of chairs on the porch for all of us to hang in the mornings and evenings. However, the house definitely had some wear. The couches need to be replaced. Also the closets had lots of stuff in them, like paint cans, light bulbs, bikes, etc. They weren't usable for our stuff during our stay. The hot water ran out after a few showers. No closet in the master bedroom. One thing we really needed in the house was a vacuum!.. With sand and kids it would have been great for quick clean-ups instead of a broom. Minor things, but would have made the trip better. But overall it was a great stay.
