Our stay here was so relaxing and peaceful! I felt we totally switched off in the beautiful surrounds, and the hosts were so friendly. Fresh baked bread and muffins in the morning! ☺️ Their communication with me before and during the trip was faultless.

Very quiet and peaceful, out of town, on the road to ‘nothing’
No tv reception and the kitchen doesn’t join the lounge, through 2 doors
Fabulous host, supplied a fantastic breakfast, fresh cooked muffins- literally steaming out of the oven.
Maggie and Dave were excellent hosts, very warm and welcoming. The cottages were so cozy, beds very comfortable and nice, hot showers. Maggie spoilt us with beautiful home made bread and delicious raspberry and coconut muffins. It was the perfect escape away from the hustle and bustle of the city. My family and I had the most delightful time. Thank you Maggie and Dave!
Welcoming Tray of homemade bread biscuits eggs jams etc delicious. Raspberry Muffins yummy. Oven did not work, carpet gritty & cobwebs till we vacuumed. Bird life is very prolific & the serenity of location is amazing.

Beautiful nature, nice place for hiking near the lake and awesome hospitality. The cottages was clean and very well organized. Loved Maggie's home-made bread and muffins that we had for breakfast. Be prepared for an out of technology brake when visiting because there is no service in this area and the reception Wi-Fi was way to far from the 3-4 cottages. We really enjoyed a family time together playing table games and watching movies. Definitely recommended!!!!
Fit for purpose accomodation - everything we could need. nice to have no reception which meant family did old school activities. Maggie was fastidious in her welcoming of my family, even though it was late. Roaring fire on arrival was great.
We enjoyed our stay very much. On arrival the cottage was warm and inviting, very clean and thoughtfully presented. As most of us spent the weekend skiing we did not spend any time in the cottage during the day but my wife did and she loved it. The surrounding countryside was a delight and so too was Maggie our host who provided ample breakfast food and baked treats. Will definitely be coming back some time and can fully recommend.
Maggie is an amazing host. We felt really looked after and enjoyed our trip thoroughly. Were treated with delicious freshly home baked bread on arrival and a departure gift of home made hot muffins. Thank you for your hospitality. Highly recommended.
This strawbale walled construction provides thick walls for insulation. So on the hot days when we stayed, we were more than comfortable under just the ceiling fans and open but flycsreened doors. There was plenty of room to just kick back and relax. Easy unloading of luggage from the parking area. It is located at a quiet end of a road, past which there are views of the lake, to be enjoyed on our various walks.
A variety of birds and the odd kangaroo about the place in the evening. We really liked the kookaburra chorus in the morning as a wake up call.
The homely touches of fresh baked in-house bread, the jams, the muffins delivered on the last morning and the breakfast treats including eggs and cereals were delightful.
The rear decks overview a small valley leading to a small dam, but provide an ideal chill out for drinks and nibbles in the evening for adults. There was plenty of scope I'm sure for kids to enjoy the set up in the main room clearly designed for them, but as we were all adults, we gathered in the main room with the sofas, chairs and deck.
We enjoyed the laid back, comfy cottage style of the place with the rendered walls and the bright colour pallet. The showers were excellent. Had a great time and look forward to a return visit.
Maggie is a warm, friendly and unfussy person who
made us feel very welcome.
