Annie's Lakefront Cottage in Kawartha Region

Welcome to our charming, lovely, beautiful cottage on Lake Scugog in Little Britain, less than 1.5 hour drive NE of Toronto. Enjoy sitting on the deck/dock watching sunsets and fishing and swimming in the fresh water lake.

Over 100 feet of water frontage! This cottage is a stunning place to relax for all seasons. Access to fire pit and a bbq in the summer. This is a very private cottage with gorgeous views of the waterfront. It is beautiful for a getaway with families, or for couple.

The cottage sleeps 6 + 2 ( kids) including a king size bed in the master bedroom, 2 Queen size beds in 2 side bedrooms, and a Ikea pull out bed in the sun room respectively, stone fireplace in the family room, and an electronic fireplace in the sun room. Light a fire in the fire pit or socialize on the deck within 30 feet of the dock and waterfront. Watch the stars in the evening.

Direct access to water from the front of the boat house or from the dock.

A sun set view on the lake in a beautiful day is worth million dollars.

Canoe to the end of the river mouth ( going right from cottage on the lake) will bring you to a jaw dropping endless water lily field in summer.

The Lake Scugog Sandbar beach is kids friendly and is 10 minutes driving away.

We continuously upgrade/enhance our place for a better experience, and a little surprise for our returning guesses..

--For the Essentials, hand soap, toilet paper, and pillows will be provided. YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS, BED SHEETS

-- Unlimited internet access is available in summer season, or by request for other days ( Internet was upgraded recently to 5x faster as soon as Rogers becomes available)

-- Please bring your own sheets/linens/pillow cases. Please DO let us know at least one week ahead if you need us to prepare the sheets for you. There will be a surcharge to provide that service as there is no on-site laundry available.

-- Please bring your own towels.

--Please bring the firewood to enjoy the outdoor fire pit.

--You pets are welcome. THE PETS Fee is $75 per pet. Please make sure you keep the house and backyard clean, pick the litter right after, host the big dog who loves mud before allow them inside, only allow them to go to the lake through the dock or in front of the boat house. Do NOT allow them to destroy any plants especially the ones along the shoreline. Do NOT allow them be in the bed, or sleep on the carpet directly.

-- TV is available but no cable tv connected. There is a x-box, a DVD player, and a HTMI cable

-- Pull the boats out of water when it's not in use. Flip the canoe up-side down before the rain starts.

-- There is a large aluminum boat ( 3 rows) you can use. Trolling motor is available for RENT at low price.

-- As a curtsey to the next guests, please make sure you clean-up the BBQ after each use. Please do not leave any food in the BBQ machine.

-- The cottage is on well so there's a limited amount of water. Please always take quick showers. The water pump will burn in the situation of the excessive use of water.

-- Lake Scugog is weedy but the water is clean. Check the township posting for swimming conditions for safety purposes.

-- Please follow the recycling rules. The township will not pick-up the garbage if it's not recycled properly.

--Please treat this place as your home away from home. It is our family cottage and we have tried to make it special for our guests and we would ask that it is treated that way.

--Annie's cottage is striving to be a Zero Waste Living Place(Ps, It Doesn’t Happen Overnight). Tips are provided and are posted in the kitchen area.

The neighborhood is great and super quite with no house on the other side of the road.

Little Britain, Lindsay, and Port Perry are the three nearby towns. Drop-by at Port Perry if you are from Toronto for any purchase that you forget to bring. There are several nice boutique local restaurants and the information is on our refrigerator.

Before You Leave Your Home

- Please make sure you pack the following items with you for a smooth vacation:
 Linens/Sheets/Pillowcases/Sleeping bags/even your favorite pillows (although pillows and comforter are provided)
 Lots of Towels (There is no on-site Laundry)
 Personal hygiene products
 Food and cooking material
 Water shoes (recommended)
 Clothing and a jacket (you might need it due to the lake breeze)
 Any other things you think you will need
 Other house essentials such as hand soap, toilet paper, paper towel will be provided
 Coffee pods if you want to use our Tessimo T1 coffee machine (yes, coffee is important for cottage life )

We provide drinking water. No need to bring the bottled water. Let’s work together to save the environment.

During Your Stay
Charge the wireless vacuum
Charge the Water Bottle Dispenser Portable Electric Water Bottle Pump when out of power
Empty the Portable Dehumidifier water tank when it's full
Pull the boats out of water before rain starts
