Our family of 12 enjoyed the house very much for 4 nights over Christmas. All amenities for the kitchen were provided and we especially appreciated the coffee. Pool table and basement were well maintained and a hit. Loved making cozy fires at night. Everything was in great shape but a heads up that toaster needs to be repaired or replaced as only partially worked. Small thing in an overall wonderful experience.

Pretty home and location with easy access to golf course, which was great for walking. Comfortable rooms and clearly labeled instructions for using thermostats. For larger groups, definitely bring extra towels, paper towels, Tupperware/storage containers. Also be aware that there are no outdoor trash bins (bears), so you must take trips to the community trash compactor.

nice - but rooms and bathrooms were small. Views are of the golf course and home has plenty of deck space. There was a problem with the website when my wife was looking at properties and it selected this home for us. My wife had not even looked at this home and contacted VRBO but they refused to work with us on getting the home we wanted. Completely unsatisfied with management's handling of it to the point that we are considering no using them in the future.

Family Christmas Gift- A ski vacation!

Amazing! The house was absolutely perfect for our group! The downstairs rec room and pool table promised hours of Fun and it did not disappoint. All the rooms were clean and comfy, kitchen was immaculate and well stocked. We had a fireplace and used it everyday. We loved skiing in wintergreen and will definitely be back to this property again!!!

Nice house but smelled like mildew

Could use a few new mattresses and get the mildew smell under control. Back deck was a good place to hang out. Pool table was a plus.

We have since identified a venting issue with our dryer which was causing the build-up of moist air. It has been fixed. - Upon investigation, we discovered that a bed frame was broken, and we apologize for this inconvenience. This has since been repaired for the comfort of our guests! Great weekend!

Four of us stayed this past weekend for a golf outing. The house is clean, well organized and stocked with everything we needed. Great location on the 5th fairway. We had one issue where the hot water heater appeared to not be working, but while I was calling the POC for the house, another member checked the breaker, which we prob should have done prior to the call.Even still the folks were very responsive and were about to head over to help. Luckily we got to them before they left (I think) as not to have them waste a trip for something we should have checked prior.Highly recommend!

Good house

This was a good house and the description was accurate. Nice access to walking trails and the golf course. Beautiful decorator touches around the house. 2 bedrooms on each floor let us spread out a bit. My only complaints were 1) not enough blankets or throw blankets, 2) no regular tv available (all streaming services), 3) we never could really get the hang of the AC system. There were good instructions written out but we were too dumb to figure it out well. If we went back to this house i would personally bring a fan for sleeping as I like air moving.

Disappointed

This house was a little disappointing as far as what is pictured versus what is actually happening in the house. The previous review we read about small bedrooms is not an exaggeration. The rooms basically hold the beds in the pictures and that is it. We had two pack n plays (which we listed at booking) and really nowhere to put them in any of the bedrooms. There were many things broken in the house as well. The cabinet door was broken and just had a note hanging in its place that parts were ordered. The washer also did not work and when we called the local onsite people about the issue, we didn't even get a call back as promised. We did not have enough towels for the people we listed on the rental when we booked. We didn't even get an dish towels. The pool table downstairs was falling apart (the rail was completely split and if you leaned on it, it would fall out). The coffee table downstairs had screws sticking out of it as it was falling apart and looked like someone was trying to repair it. Lastly, there is no place to put food should you want to actually want to cook instead of eating at the resort. We also found trash downstairs from the previous guests. On a positive, the beds are comfortable and the common areas are good for groups.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - We're disappointed to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations and agree we fell short of our high standards, but we are glad to hear that you found the beds comfortable. - We use professional photography for the home, so the features you see on the listing are accurately advertised, and agree the rooms are all on the smaller side but each has a full bedroom set. - We sincerely apologize, the previous guest had broken the hinge on a corner cabinet, this was a specialty hinge and was on order, which has since come in and the repair has been made. - We do a complete walk-through before a guest check-in, but perhaps there was something somewhere we missed. All the wastebaskets were emptied and supplied with fresh bags. As the home was being prepared for your stay the washing machine stopped working and a part had to be ordered for its repair, we're truly sorry that this happened during your stay. - Towels are provided for our guest's use based on the guest count on their reservation, which includes, a bath, hand, and washcloth for each guest, and also provide We personally ensured that these were provided, in addition to a clean kitchen hand towel and a brand new kitchen sponge, so we were surprised to hear there was an inadequate amount of towels and kitchen towels. - We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, we can confirm that the pool table is not broken but there was a loose bolt that upon notification we immediately address and the pool table is now in perfect condition. The coffee table was in good condition, however, since your stay when the property was turned for the next guest, we found the coffee table was broken and has since been replaced. - While the kitchen is not huge, we do have a full-sized refrigerator, available counter space, and a small shelving unit for food storage. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Outstanding Stay!

We stayed for 4 nights for a small family reunion. The kitchen was well stocked--in fact, better than most VRBO's we've stayed at. There was plenty of comfortable seating in both the upstairs living room and downstairs den, and seats for 10 at the dinner table. During our stay, the kids often enjoyed the rec room while the adults relaxed upstairs. Having 4 full bathrooms was very convenient. Out only complete would be the queen bed in the basement felt broken--it sagged significantly in the middle, which would have bothered me a lot but my son said it didn't bother him much. Otherwise the beds were fine and linens were clean. We would definately stay here again!

Family Wedding

Highly recommend for our group of 3 families. Each family had own level for sleeping. Family with 2 children had lower level all to themselves and enjoyed the pool table. Bedrooms and baths small but adequate and nicely furnished. Showers were great with plenty of hot water. Enjoyed large spaces for gathering, preparing food and eating. Lastly, plenty of room for parking. Would rent house again.

Great girls’ trip

Finally, we managed some time together after Covid and the house was wonderful. There was enough seating which is sometimes lacking in homes. The beds were comfortable, towels were plentiful, the kitchen was well stocked, and the house was clean! The fireplace worked and there was plenty of wood. The management group, Evolve, was great with communication and answering all questions. Check in was a breeze. We would definitely recommend this home and Evolve.

Dove's Rest

We had a great long weekend at Dove's Rest. The location was perfect for our family who loves to walk the golf course in the late afternoon. We truly enjoyed the layout of the house, the proximity to the local attractions and the comfort of the home. Thank you for a great weekend!

Great time had by all

This home was just as described! Total transparency in the description. We did need to buy garbage bags as only two were provided. The bedrooms are small but, no one cared, we didn't live in those rooms! They were perfect to sleep in. Overall, we would recommend this home to others, it was beautiful and we had a fantastic time.

First time renting a house for Family/friend Vacation

This was our first time renting a house. I didn't really know what to expect. I did struggle a bit trying to get info about the pool before we left. I didn't know for sure who to ask these questions and where to find responses. I thought it was VBRO, but there there was info from evolve. I was a bit confused who was what. I finally made some calls to get information. Again, it was my first time. The house was perfect for our family. Loved that in each bedroom there was the ability to set the temperature. This allowed those of us who like it cold to sleep, slept well. My son said he now wants a system like that in our house. Hehe. We had a group of 6 adults and 4 kids ranging from 13 to 17 yrs. We ran out of plates and forks alot due to the number of people. We had paper plates knowing how our teens are needing a new plate for everything. We should have bought some forks. Seemed like we were washing forks all the time. That was because of the number of people and our teens eating all the time. Otherwise, we really had everything we needed. I love that they had some staples in the kitchen as well. Overall, we had NO complaints. I would absolutely rent this property again.

50th anniversary

The house was perfect for our needs. There are 2 bedrooms on each floor so each family could have their own space. We did have trouble with the air conditioning in 2 bedrooms and called the manager who was very helpful and explained to us how to correct the problem which was to shut off the circuit breaker for 10 minutes to reset the system. It was an easy fix. There were 10 of us and a baby and the dining room could seat all of us. The kitchen was well furnished and had plenty of room for many people to cook and clean up the meal. The living room and rec room in the basement was comfortable for all of us to gather. The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. It was a perfect family gathering to celebrate 50 years of marriage. Thank you!!!

Very small bedrooms and bathrooms . 12 people would have tight! Towels was not adequate- only 2 hand towels in kitchen. No towels in private bathroom. Too few wash cloths and hand towels over all. We had to take garbage to community site, yet the thinnest plastic bags were provided. Only 1 sponge in kitchen. Also, an unseen vermin shredded a toilet paper roll one night! Asked that we clean and put away dishes but seems to me better instructions would load and run dishwasher - that way you know dishes were cleaned. Very comfortable deck furniture. Nice selection of games.

Beautiful

I needed a home to fit my family in for my graduation from Liberty University and this home was nothing short of beautiful! Although the weather didn’t permit to enjoy the resort the home was filled with love and laughs on all levels. Everyone loved the home and atmosphere. The homeowners were the sweetest people and very communicative. I highly recommend this property for you next stay. We will definitely be back again!

Relaxing Weekend

A bunch of couple friends got together to hang out and had a great time. The pool table was nice (could use new sticks) and the couches were amazing. We did see a couple mice in the house and found that they are staying in the hole behind the dresser in the living room. No big deal, the house is in the woods. The keypad is amazing and easy to use! The beds were bad and could definitely use pillow toppers. Overall, the house was great and did what we needed, which was provide a place to hang out.
