Welcome to Walnut Bungalow West, a beautifully updated retreat in the heart of Hillsboro that offers both comfort and convenience. Ideally situated just a mile from downtown Hillsboro, Tuality Community Hospital, and the Hillsboro Airport, this home places you right where you need to be. A short three-block walk takes you to the MAX light-rail station, providing easy access to downtown Portland, Portland International Airport, and the greater metro area.



From the moment you step inside, you’ll notice the attention to detail that makes this space truly special. Every inch of the home has been thoughtfully renovated—from fresh paint and stylish new furniture to modern appliances and tasteful decor—all designed to create a clean, bright, and welcoming environment. The single-level layout features two well-appointed bedrooms with a king and queen bed respectively, making it a perfect fit for families, couples, or business travelers. The recently remodeled bathroom continues the fresh, updated look with sleek finishes and plenty of natural light.



The open living area includes high-speed internet and a large UHD LCD TV with Roku, so you can stream your favorite shows and movies with ease. A washer and dryer are also provided for added convenience during your stay. Step outside to enjoy a private, fenced backyard complete with a BBQ grill—ideal for relaxing evenings or weekend cookouts.

Oregon visit

Property was adequate. We had a lot of places to visit/tour so we were only sleeping at the house. Beds were comfortable. Living room was comfortable too while we got ready to go again for the day. A very nice stay.

Good location for day trips

This paired home was the perfect place to stay and tour the surrounding area, i.e., the Gorge, Mt. Hood, and the northern Oregon coast. Didn’t spend much time here other than to sleep. I spent one day preparing meals to be able to pack on my day trips. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare my meals and the washer and dryer were useful as well.

Would Stay Again

Perfect one night stay!

The home is nicely updated and features two well appointed bedrooms. The heater in the home is amazing and will keep you toasty while cuddled up on the couch watching tv. The home is also located within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Definitely recommend staying here!

Everything you need

The Walnut Bungalow has everything you need for a comfortable stay, whether it’s brief or long term. The iTrip team is also a very accommodating host to work with. Definitely recommend to those looking for something in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area.

Great Stay

We just needed a place to stay while going out on adventures each day. This place was perfect. Small, clean, just what we needed. The only negative thing would be the parking. There were several times where someone else parked in our designated parking spot in the driveway, but that was it. Definitely worth the stay!

We appreciated the care that was put into this home to make it a comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. The bathroom is clean with a newer sink and shower and enough hot water for the three of us to enjoy warm showers. The beds and couch were comfortable and good sized. Overall, this home was great and we enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable place for healing

Our 18 year old son had surgery (deviated septum and straightening of nose) at the OHSU Hillsboro Medical Center. We had to stay 6 nights. This house rental was a Godsend! Comfortable, clean and accommodating! We were blessed to have come across it. A great start to his healing - thank you!

Moved my daughter

We moved my daughter to Oregon from the east cost and wanted a home base to relax in while setting up her apartment. The check in was easy. Communication was great - quick response to a small issue. The space is maximized and well laid out. The beds—- super comfy!

I give this stay and the host a one star review. For anyone that is interested in staying at this home, be aware there is no central heat or air. It is also not listed in the description.We had booked 3 nights and left after 2 and had to find another place to stay. There was no heat in the bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen.We froze at night with temps in the 30's and had my 90 year old mom with us.We contacted the host after the first night and told them we would be happy to pay for the one night stay but with my mom being elderly, she could not go without heat and we would like a refund for the other two nights.We were offered space heaters as a source of heat for the bedrooms. The only outlets where you could plug in space heaters in both rooms were right next to the beds and no 3 foot clearance to where they would not pose a danger and be a tripping hazard for an elderly person.We were told by the host that we agreed to the terms of 3 nights and we could check out early but we would not get a refund. Nowhere in the terms did it list that only the living room has a source of heat.They suggested turning up the thermostat with the heater in the living room which we turned up to 74 degrees and it did nothing for the other rooms and overheated the living room where you couldn't sit in there. Due to no viable resolution from the host, we were forced to check out early and pay for other accomodations. .

Would absolutely stay again!

We had a lovely 4-night stay at Walnut West while visiting Hillsboro for a wedding at Horning's Hideout (a short 25 minute drive away). The entire place was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and having the washer/dryer readily available was a really nice convenience. Communication from the hosts before we arrived was top-notch and the binder provided within the unit was very helpful. The kitchen was well equipped which allowed us to make a handful of meals there rather than eating out the entire time- which we appreciated. That said, there were many great restaurants and bars within walking distance for when we wanted to venture out. We loved that this spot was on a quiet street but also super close to the grocery store, bars, restaurants and ice cream shops (Jim's is highly recommended!) We would absolutely stay again- thanks for everything!

Julia, you notified the day of check in that you had an 11 pound dog and had just realized the day of your check in that the property was not pet friendly. We were unable to cancel this booking as our listing clearly discloses not being pet friendly on the listing. It's unfortunate you chose to leave a poor review and falsely comment on the property.

*Air conditioner was not up to the task, too small. Only one fan in the property for two bedrooms. We left a second fan there when we left. *The property was infested with ants! *There were 3 to 4 full trash bins at the street in front of the building the entire two weeks. Trash was only picked up just before we left.

Walnut St Bungalow cutie

The bungalow was adorable. It was immaculate, up-to-date and bright. The kitchen was a delight to cook, eat in with a bright window, and to clean up with a wonderful dishwasher. There were good supplies for doing so. I especially liked having a washing machine and dryer and being able to throw towels in the dryer for warmth after a shower! One criticism is that there are no grab bars in the shower which could be a serious liability. And the tv was very difficult to use. We had to get a manager to come in and program it for us. Another is that there is no central air but the kitchen window AC did a good job with the help of a fan to cool down the whole space in 90 degree temps. The location was about 10 minutes from most restaurants and especially Orenco Station area, and a Walgreens was within 5 minutes!

No air conditioning, no handicap bars in shower

Not a house, it’s a duplex. No air conditioning and we spent 3 nights with 81 plus degrees inside. There are NO grab bars in the shower making it difficult for older people. The price quoted doesn’t include a bunch of FEES (several hundred) Final cost per night was more than a nice hotel. It was very clean and well stocked except for only ONE towel each meaning we had to wash towels if we wanted a clean one. All in all it was nice BUT trying to sleep in that stuffy hot place when it isn’t safe to sleep with windows open was not what we expected for the cost!! We are two old ladies… sisters…. I come a couple times a year and wanted to try a Vrbo house here in Hillsboro. I’ve stayed in others in different states. It was convenient to MAX and other stores. People around us were very friendly and helpful. Just know what to expect. Lots of fans around but just didn’t help with temperature in the 90s.

We regret any confusion regarding the final cost and we'd like to mention that we do not have control over Vrbo platform fees or how they display the breakdown of costs upon booking. However, we strive to ensure all costs are reasonably priced.
