North Bay Retreat is a three-bedroom, 2nd-floor condo located in the premier marina waterfront community of Shallowbag Bay Club on Roanoke Island. There is plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy their OBX vacation. Take in the water view of the marina from your front deck and the sound from your screened porch. Enjoy the great community amenities with the outdoor seasonal pool, hot tub, and fitness center. You won't have to go far for dining, check out the on-site restaurant Stripers Bar and Grille with waterfront dining.

You'll want to check out charming downtown Manteo with the Old Town shopping district, wonderful local restaurants and shops, art shows, and local events. Manteo has so much to offer - the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, Roanoke Island Festival Park, and The Lost Colony which is the nation’s premier and longest-running outdoor symphonic drama.

Can’t stay an entire week? North Bay Retreat is available for short stays with flexible arrival/departure options. For guests who like to plan ahead, partial week stays (three-night minimum) can be reserved months in advance. Choose any day of the week for check-in and check-out.

Staying for the half marathon

Everything about the property was great. Particularly loved the decks with great views on either side. And really appreciated the elevator after running the half marathon.

Family Getaway

This was a family getaway - a chance to relax and reconnect. We enjoyed our stay - the condo was clean, bright, room and well stocked (but I would suggest the host provide a cabinet full of spices). I recommend it to anyone. Loved the decks and the being on the Marina!

Convenient clean and safe for kids and adults.

The deck space was great. We were in town for a bluegrass festival and this location was very convenient, and clean. The elevator made access to the condo very easy. The kitchen is nicely stocked with dishes and cooking pans but you need to bring all food items (salt, pepper, etc) laundry and dishwasher soap. There is starter amount of paper products provided. I would stay again.

The ceiling fan on the room that is at the end of the hall to the right needs to be replace, because is making a lot of noise.
