This place is amazing. It’s a great location because you are just a little away from the main part of gulf shores. That’s nice because you get away from all the traffic but you’re just like a 2 minute drive to be right in the heart of everything. The beds were very comfortable and the house felt very spacious. Would definitely rent this place again

We had a wonderful time! It was clean and very convenient location.The kids and dads loved fishing on the pier! The view was gorgeous and we enjoyed hanging out on the pier and back deck. We will definitely be back.

We loved being on the lagoon side. We had 2 families with 3 teenagers. It was a perfect fit for all of us. The rental wasn’t the cleanest, I had to do the floors before I could unpack. That was the only downfall of this property. We would rent here again.

Perfect Beach House!

Overall pretty good rental, good location. Needs some updating . Sliding door going to back deck is almost falling off it's track and almost unusable. Dishwasher didn't clean very well. Place just need a little TLC.

Needs a new housekeeper

We’ve stayed at the lazy pelican two times because it is a nice little area to fish on the river. They have 2 condos so we stayed once on each side. All I can say is the place is filthy and things are in ill repair . This time it was the sliding glass door and the master bath wouldn’t get hot. They did send somebody out to fix it , the time before it was a sliding glass door, the handle was broken. They didn’t send anybody to fix that .It’s nice that it’s right there on the river. You can just walk out the door and go to the river or a little beach area, fish, whatever you wanna do but the floors were nasty with sand everywhere ( I’m sure they had not been swept from the previous guest.) I opened the oven door. There was a towel in the bottom of the oven drawer. It goes on and on. Hopefully they will get a new housekeeper. I wish I could say we’d stay again, but I doubt it with the filthiness.

This Nebraska Crew Loved our Stay!

Everything was perfect! The location, communication with the property manager, ease of check-in, lagoon access, private shared dock and quaint beach area on the lagoon side, across the street from the ocean, we loved it all! We are already planning our next trip down!

Great location for Family

This property is perfect for the water activity family. Duplex home would be even better for larger groups. Far enough away from tourist activities but close enough to go join in. Can't wait to return

Overall our stay here was amazing! The view was great, the backyard had a ton of wildlife for the kids to catch and play with and the sand was a huge hit. The location could not have been better. The only issues we had were that it looked like the house needed some maintenance and cleaning. Some of the floor boards were taped down, the couch was broke, the bathtub knob was broke, and some stains on the comforters but that was pretty minimal to the overall stay. We would definitely stay here again!

GA Memorial day weekend

We absolutely loved the the property, great location and setting. Private beach never a crowd, very relaxing weekend. Got updates daily on tides, and checking in to make sure everything was ok.

Cozy & Stuning

Beautiful scenery. Loved the small private beach and close access across the street to the main beach. The small private beach was perfect for our 1 year old granddaughter. The peir was also nice to sit on and fish.

Off Season Getaway

My family rents a house in Gulf Shores for the Month of November every year. This house fit our needs very well with easy access to the beach as well as a pier directly off the back deck for lagoon fishing. Had some technical difficulties with the cable and internet but property manager was very responsive and had issue fixed within a few hours. Good value for the location and 4 bedroom is perfect size for my family. I would recommend and rent again.

Great

Home was clean. Dishwasher needed service (water not heating). Attentive service immediately Shampoo and conditioner were great on my curly, frizzy hair, and smells wonderful! Little kids loved the calmer waters of the lagoon, which made nap times easier, as we didn’t have to drag them across the street…

I picked this unit for the location, which was great for my family. The small beach area on the lagoon was perfect for my 17 month old. Unfortunately, we where relocated after the first night of our stay due to the severity of black mold present in the house. The situation took up a whole day from our family vacation ( maintenence, mold company and AC company coming in and out to inspect). We were moved into a cheaper unit (although nicer) and not given a full refund of the difference between the two units. I will say the property management was quick to respond but disappointed in the situation and not receiving the appropriate refund.

Golf trip with friends

Good Dishwasher did not clean dishes. Down stairs bed is terrible needs to be replaced! Gave me a soar back. Ice dispenser only gave you crushed ice and water no cubes.
