Overview

About the property

Perfect for families - Completely Private Spanish Hacienda Plus Casita and Pool!

This private and enclosed rustic property includes lush gardens, mature palms, fruit trees and has been lovingly decorated with Spanish and Native American touches! This property is one of the few old world homes left in Palm Springs that has maintained this kind of architectural detail, this kind of magic. Once you enter through the courtyard, a set of antique red doors welcome you to the two residences (a hacienda and casita that a share a pool).

The fully fenced yard is perfect for you and your guest’s relaxing stay while you enjoy the pool and lounge chairs. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, you’ll love grilling at the custom outdoor kitchen which includes a separate burner, refrigerator and sink. Then you can enjoy your meal, in the outside dining pavilion at a teak dining table that seats 10. In the evening, everyone can unwind together in front of the fire pit. This old world charmer is perfect for families looking to stay together while vacationing separately. Perfect for teens, in-laws, and groups of friends.

The Hacienda’s intimate living room has beamed ceilings and Saltillo tile floors. Straight ahead, there is a newly renovated kitchen with new appliances just off an enclosed dining room flooded with natural light. If you would prefer to dine al fresco, head through the floor to ceiling glass doors to an additional outdoor dining area. Inside, there are two private bedrooms each with new bedding and en suite bathrooms. Each bedroom also opens directly to their own peaceful courtyards.

The Casita has its own separate living room and kitchen as well as 2 bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. The comfy couch also pulls out to a queen sized bed, if needed. There is all new bedding in each rooms and decorations that continue the warm Spanish and Native American moods.

Located in the popular and desirable neighborhood of Mesa, you are only a few minutes away from downtown Palm Springs. This warm and wonderful Spanish retreat offers "get away from it all" relaxation even though you will only be blocks away from great restaurants and the conveniences of town.

PLEASE NOTE:

***For an additional fee, the pool that stands between the hacienda and casita can be heated during your stay. The minimum pool heating fee is $200 for 3 days of rental. After the 3 day rental, heating is $50/day.

Beautiful, comfortable and well stocked!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay during Thanksgiving week. The house was comfortable and in a great location. The property manager, Julie was welcoming and helpful. She even offered to bring over any additional cookware we needed for Thanksgiving dinner. The home is walking distance to the Moorten Botanical Garden and a great little bar at Mr. Lyons. We hope to visit again soon.

The Perfect Family Escape

  • 5 of 5

My brother and I decided to bring our families out to Palm Springs for the Easter weekend. With 4 adults, 2 teenagers, and 3 kids under 10, we weren't sure if renting the whole property would work or if it was a recipe for disaster - IT WAS PERFECT! The teens took over the top floors of the casita with my brother and his wife below, and my husband and I took the master bedroom in the house with the kids in the other room. There were plenty of courtyards and fountains with places to lounge, a lovely pool [we paid to heat it, worth it!] and indoor and outdoor dining options. Another bonus: the place is minutes away from downtown PS, restaurants and other desert highlights. My kids loved spotting all of the art throughout the city. You can stay here and feel like a local. Highly recommended for groups of all ages!

Great outdoor spaces. House needs an updating.

  • 3 of 5

Unseasonably cold weather meant we couldn't enjoy the outside as much as hoped. Being able to use the courtyard and pool features more would release the special feel to this house.

Pool very pleasant, the courtyard charming and the citrus trees yield delicious fruit.

Street noise a bit intrusive during truck hours but the location good relative to shops, restaurants and groceries.

Beautiful view of the mountains. What fine sunsets.

Living room comfortable. Whole place could stand a good dusting.

Kitchen tight but worked ok for breakfast and pizza with our group of eight. Good cleaning here too would help. Cooking a big meal would be a challenge.

Down the street is the Moorten Botanical Garden with its cactarium. We also enjoyed the Palm Springs Mod Squad architectural tour. What we learned made the rest of the week fun as we played "find the midcentury modern feature" in all the homes in the neighborhood.
