Great location
Great location, bus dropped us off from canyon right infront of the condo. Also easy to walk to the village and gondola. Super cozy with pretty views of trees.

Mammoth condo close to gondola and lifts
This condo was in a very convenient location close to the gondola and to Canyon Lodge. The unit was decent but had a few issues, such as noisy wall heater, and some leaks around the bathroom faucet. Otherwise it was pretty decent, but definitely not a luxury stay.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Cabin was nice, but the management company wasn't great
Cabin was nice, but the management company wasn't great. They weren't the best at communicating, the check-in process was more complicated than it should have been and the address did not line up with where the cabin actually was. Also, I'm not sure if this was the city's fault or the management company's fault, but they completely covered the assigned parking spot in excess snow and then plowed more snow over my vehicle. It was bad enough that my 4x4 needed another 4x4 to pull me out as we were trying to leave.

Perfect pet friendly Base camp for hikes
Condo was perfect for pet friendly visit with our dog to do hikes from the Sabrina basin to Yosemite. I would stay again. Location to village is ideal if visiting with dog. BBq was new and great for cooking but hard to access . Small issues with light bulbs out and the unit is dark. Reported bulbs out to mammoth reservations 3 times but no bulbs came. Only real issue was the stove top burners and oven were intermittent. Worked great one night the not the next. No clue why. The reservation folks did come and fix but did not share the trick they used so some instructions on the stove needed. But minor issues. All esle perfect for pet friendly.

Mammoth Basics
We LOVE Mammoth Reservations and have been renting locations from them for years. Everyone who works in the office is truly outstanding and attentive. This unit is a typical Mammoth unit (if you've been coming here for decades like we have). It's got everything you need but is dated. In the old days there weren't that many outlets required in buildings so modern electronic culture can sometimes be at odds with the place (we even charge our boots and helmets these days). The owners add lamps and switches in an ad-hoc manner as best they can.Generally the unit was in good shape save for a few small things like broken closet doors or lamps that didn't work. Our biggest issue was noise. The smaller bedroom faces the road and when the snow plows start at 3am, not only does the beeping keep us up but their flood lights fill the bedroom (no blackout shades). We didn't sleep much. The larger bedroom is on the other side of the building and isn't bothered, if you're just traveling without need of the 2nd bedroom. The unit is also slightly darker then the images. I basically only rent from Mammoth Reservations and will continue to do so because they've been so awesome to me, especially during the pandemic. I'll probably stick with my habitual fave properties vs. this one.

Great Location
Loved the location and the layout with the bedrooms on the first floor. Older but pretty good for a pet friendly Condo. Tv should be bigger. Walking distance to Village was awesome. End unit was also a plus.

mammoth estates #217
My husband and I stayed in this dog friendly unit for a week while evacuated from the wildfires around our home in Tahoe. The condo was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The property manager was friendly, check in was easy. The pool is great! My only complaint would be that the unit is a little dark.

Mammoth Estates, unity 217
First time at this unit, liked it a lot, would come again. Only issue was bear turning over dumpster in front (mostly since people were not latching the lid shut).Like that it shares unit wall only on one side. Liked amount of silverware, solid bed in master bdrm. 2 good bath tubs, though one lacked a plug. Lots of light in living area. Very few stairs on outside entry. Issues: spotty internet, frequently out; loose fittings on kitchen faucet and toilet in hall bathroom (shifts when you sit). Confusing light switches. Biggest issue: jets in jacuzzi not working (spoke to HOA prop. mgr. who was frustrated also with repair shop personnel). Generally, lots of trash around all units esp. those on Lakeview.

Clean and great location
This place was very clean and was in a great location! Walking distance to the village. We went during August so their outdoor pool and spa were open, which was Lso really great. The condo was outdated, looked original for most things, but it was still very clean and with very few issues.

Great condo, no wifi
I've stayed in condos at Mammoth Estates before, its one of my favorite spots in town. This trip was unit 217, and the only issue here was there was no wifi. In fact when you tried to connect to the wifi you got a message saying the service had been disconnected due to nonpayment and you were asked to pay $90 to thank you. The other issue was with the management company and their handling of check it. Its a touchless system, no issue there; they provide detailed instructions on how to access your check in packet, no issue there. However, when they change how your supposed to check in 90 minutes before you arrive thatss when we had a problem. We arrived at the check-in office to find no welcome packet and had to call the emergency number to get access to our condo. They left a voicemail, but but due to the poor service of the area we had to drive through we didnot receive that message until hours later. Very disappointed.
