Nice large lake house needing TLC on the outside.

Nice large house for a big group. Lots of nice amenities in the house. Inside was very clean, however the outside of the house needed a lot of TLC. There were huge spider nests all over the dock/deck area by the lake. Half of the string lights in the backyard do not work. Lift did not work.

Family

The family reunion. The property was large and plenty of room for my 8 adults and 6 children with one teen. It was well kept although the property grounds up keep was lacking. And upon entering we were extremely impressed. But there was this one room that had the stench of a teenage athlete in it. Upon looking into the closet it was HORRID and the smell stopped us from occupying that room. When property management was contacted they took it upon themselves to enter the property in our absence without permission and lock up the closet instead of cleaning it out.? This was our only true complaint and the management lack of respect.

August Visit

The house was very dirty. Spider webs all outside on the patio area. The AC was off when we got there and it took forever to cool down. Couldn't work the lock to check in, and couldn't get in touch with anyone to help. Other than that, the house is beautiful, just like in the pictures. It also has everything you need in the kitchen. Location is perfect as well.

From the owner: "Shannon, thanks for staying with us! We are sorry that your stay fell short of your expectations. - We spoke with our property manager, Hilda (an Evolve Partner) and she said that the guests did not mention any issues throughout the weekend aside from the upper balcony having leaves on it. After they mentioned it, she sent out the handyman to blow the leaves and cleaned the outdoor furniture. - We have now had another guest mention the inside was dirty, so we have taken the following actions: - We have hired a new cleaning crew to service our home in order to ensure the home is up to par for our next booking. - We will also be setting in place a supervisor inspection on the morning of guest check-in. This must be done with enough time to allow for remediating any problems that are found. - We've also replaced all linens - fresh towels and sheets are now at the property, though no guests have specifically mentioned them, we felt it was time for a refresh to make sure that doesn’t become a problem. - Owners will also be conducting spot inspections to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Thanks for leaving feedback, it was very helpful for us as we work to improve our listing!"

Not Handicap accessible

I was extremely disappointed with the rental at 215 Lake Placid. Despite the assurance of handicap accessibility in the property listing, I found that it was not accessible as promised. This is the exact wording in the VRBO listing: "FAQ: Step-free access (elevator), low lake water levels (fishing & kayaking is permitted, boating is not)" During the booking process, I specifically searched for properties that were suitable for individuals with mobility restrictions, and relied on the information provided in the listing to make an informed decision. However, upon arrival at the property, it became evident that it was not adequately equipped or modified to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges. The absence of an elevator was our issue. As the property was advertised as accessible via an elevator, I expected it to have an elevator or an alternative means of vertical access. However, there was no provision for individuals who could not use stairs. The CARGO LIFT had labels on it specifying that it was for cargo and could not accommodate people. I was surprised by these accessibility shortcomings, as they directly contradicted the information presented in the VRBO listing, and when we asked for verification over the phone, the representative did not say anything about it not being an elevator for people. These promised accessibility standards were crucial in my decision-making process. As a result, my vacation experience was marred.

Big House

We had 12 adults and 1 infant in the house and we didn't feel cramped at all. Plenty of space, beds, pillows, towels, and lots of outdoor games like cornhole and frisbees were provided. The property managers were easy to work with, they were quick to respond and helped us out by shipping a charger we left behind. The only negative I have about the property is the status of the lake. There was enough water to float on and the water is easy to access but apparently the dam is broken and the lake is very very low. Not their fault but worth noting if you are looking for a property.

All in all great experience. A lot of spiders. Fire ants came out of master tub faucet. Bbq didn’t work. Other than that the stay was wonderful and the house was excellent.

Disappointing experience on our recent trip!

Our experience at this property has been disappointing with cockroaches inside and cobwebs and unclean premises in the outdoor patio areas. Our complaints to both the property owner and evolve have been ignored with no response. I would not recommend either of them on any of your stays.

Very nice getaway!

The house is absolutely beautiful and close to many stores you might need. The property contact was very helpful and there if you needed anything! The only downside is that the listing is slightly outdated and some of the furniture changed, as well as the water level of the river. Although we still had a great time, it would have been nice to know the dam was broken earlier than one day before our trip which caused the water level to be extremely low. Overall, this place is awesome and we had a great time!

Excellent Stay

Interior of this property was just as advertised. Beautiful, modern and clean. Exterior can use some TLC in the form of power washing and debris removal. The exterior lights along the river/deck were not working properly and we had a small power failure in the kitchen during our last night of our stay. Did not feel safe on deck above boat storage.

Totally Wonderful and Gigantic House!

This house was stunning and much larger in the photos (if you can imagine). I rent houses often and this was the most immaculate sparkling clean property I've ever stayed at. There is actually seating for everyone inside and out to enjoy the most of your stay. I was shocked all 14 of us could sit at a dining room table! Very grateful for that... The beds were comfortable, they had inner tubes to float outside in the water in and games for us to play. The A/C actually kept us nice and cool going in and out in 100° weather. Our point of contact, Hilda, didn't miss a beat. She was amazing and went above and beyond. I highly recommend this property and I will be renting again next reunion!
