Catho Miners Cottage [pet friendly]

This 100+ year old miners cottage has been completely renovated and is complete with modern bathroom and updated kitchen. There is a slow combustion fireplace for winter and all the beds are fitted with electric blankets. The bedrooms have portable fans for summer and heaters for winter. The large yard is securely fenced, with indoor and outdoor dining.

It is surrounded by bush with just a short stroll to the beautiful Catherine Hill Bay Beach, of which 90% is dog friendly. The southern end of the beach is patrolled from October to April.

Just 1 hour from Hornsby and 5 km from Swansea and Lake Macquarie, it is an ideal getaway to where the bush meets the sea. There are numerous walks and BMX tracks through the surrounding bush, good fishing in both the ocean and Lake Macquarie and great swimming, snorkeling and surfing at the local beaches.

Bed linen, bath towels, donnas, and pillows are all provided. Due to health regulations, guests will need to supply their own food, including milk, as we are only able to provide sealed, single use sachets of tea, and coffee (instant and beans for the expresso machine).

Good location, cute cottage, plenty of room in the back yard for the dog to run around! Comfy bed, comfy couches indoors and outside, large kitchen, modern TV! Easy to unerstand instructions wifi! Thanks for the comfy stay!

Loved staying in this cosy cottage (doggo included). Was right in the middle to where we wanted to explore. Was clean and had everything we needed and the host was helpful and easy to communicate with. We will definitely come back for another stay.

Lovely place with great backyard

We loved our stay, the cottage is clean, has a lovely backyard with an outdoor eating area and is close to beaches. Booking process was easy and friendly. Access to lots of nearby beaches and all main shops in next town. Would stay again.

A lovely house in a charming town

The cottage is very sweet, clean and comfortable. We loved the spacious sunny garden and the cosy fireplace. Coffee beans and electric blankets were much appreciated.

The tranquillity and history of this area is awesome. We are avid surfers, bush walkers, cyclists and book readers. We love walking our dogs on the beach. This property enables us to do all of this. With only internet access, it is great for a digital detox.
