This house was perfect for our needs. Even though it was quite cold when we were there (mid-December), the heating in the home was great. We loved playing pool in the pool house (which also had heat). Having all the rooms and bathrooms made our party of 8 very comfortable. The pictures were quite bright compared to the home which felt a bit darker than pictured (though again it was winter). They supplied plenty of dishware, paper supplies, soaps, shampoos, etc. We cooked and baked while there (a bit of a scavenger hunt but found the things we needed). Great location near stores and restaurants and very close to the turnpike. It snowed the night before we left which made for a beautiful end to our trip. The owner was very responsive throughout. We loved exploring the intricacies of each room and the historical information about the home and property!

We felt we were living in a piece of history. We enjoyed learning about the home after we arrived.We had space for our family to enjoy being together while not being cramped. We could be together and find room to be alone if needed. Great location for why we stayed in the area.

Corps birthday visit

All was as shown and even better on site. Love the history! My wife has a large family; 3 brothers with spouses plus one Marine friend from Albany. Plenty of room for our group. The couple of small needs / questions were addressed promptly. We very much enjoyed our stay.

This historic house was very functional for our extended family group. The kitchen was well-provisioned with everything needed for cooking. The house is not very well maintained, though. It was not very clean and there are some definite mold/mildew issues.

Wonderful Stay!

My family and I were thrilled with our stay. The eighteenth-century property was a perfect complement to our visits to Valley Forge, Independence Hall, and the Liberty Bell. It gave our grandchildren an opportunity to be immersed in the period, and of course they enjoyed the pool. There are so many interesting and beautiful artifacts in the house, and it took us a full week to discover them all (or most of them). Thank you for a comfortable stay in this well-maintained home.

Nice estate and pool

My husband and I and our dog stayed over the Fourth of July holiday. MaryAnn was a wonderful host, providing goodies and a lovely chat when we arrived. It felt very comforting upon arrival. She is a wonderful person. Our near by family loved visiting and the Pool/Pool house. The young people especially loved the history of each room of the historical home. I found i missed comfy furniture since i have a painful lower back and need a cane to walk. The young people loved the pool, but the railing is a little loose and stairs too deep for people who may be handicapped. We also were very grateful that we could use the grill and have our dog vacation with us. We had a wonderful experience and even had a view of fireworks from the high school across the street. Very nice experience !

Deer and rabbits making appearances all week.
The preferred entrance to the house with our dog wanting to get out of the sun !

The house and property are very cool. It’s like stepping back in time. It was a great experience but it wasn’t very friendly to lounging around. If you’re on the go like we were it’ll be a good fit.

A beautiful, peaceful home full of character, with a wonderful host.

We stayed at this beautiful historic home in Lansdale, PA, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The house was incredibly spacious, easily fitting our entire group with extra room to relax and spread out. The pool house added a perfect touch, offering privacy while still being conveniently close to the main house.The property itself is full of character and rich history — every room felt like a little discovery. We even had a peaceful encounter with a deer right outside the window, which made the setting feel extra special.What truly set this stay apart was the outstanding property manager. She was kind, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure our trip (which was for a family funeral) was smooth, comfortable, and stress-free. Her attentiveness made a difficult time feel much lighter.Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a unique, comfortable, and well-managed stay in Lansdale.

Treasure House

We stayed at the Morgan Hughes House for my son’s graduation from Ursinus College. The property has a fascinating history and the grounds are beautiful, a private sanctuary of nature. Everyone loved the pool and pool house. The house was like a treasure hunt with so many bedrooms, bathrooms and closets. We all loved it. We enjoyed the many species of birds, the rabbits, deer and a fox. Mary Ann went out of her way to make us comfortable and was a delightful host.

We traveled for a pool tournament from Atlanta, GA. The home gave us a relaxing place to stay as a team. We were greeted very warmly when we arrived. The home is very spacious with plenty of rooms to relax. This was definitely better than staying at a hotel.

Our family of seven (two adults, five kids) greatly enjoyed our stay at this home. There was plenty of space for us to spread out in. The historical details we wonderful, and the modern amenities were all functional. Will definitely need to stay here again and experience the pool and pool house. Everything was very clean and welcoming.

Historical Family get-together during Cherry Blossom Season

We visitedour daughter and visited the historical sites around Philly and to see the cherry blossoms. The Morgan-Hughes Manor was so fun to explore! If you stay here be sure to look at the 150 year old books, pictures and descriptions that are left out for you to view. The hosts were very helpful when we had questions. We stayed so busy we didn’t even have time to visit the community pool house.

A lovely home!

We stayed here with our adult children and their spouses while attending my MIL’s 90th birthday celebration. Check-in was a breeze and the host was immediately responsive to our few questions. The property is exactly as depicted in the photos and we had a marvelous time exploring the grounds and the nooks and crannies of this historic home. We’d stay again for sure.

Wonderful family gathering

We were in the area for a nephew’s wedding. The Morgan Homestead was perfect for us. All as promised. Host was excellent. So glad we found the listing!
