Mallards Nest Tiny Home on a Pond and Creek with Mountain Views!

Mallards Nest the Tiny Home! It may be only 400 sq ft but it packs all the amenities that you need for your stay in the Smoky Mountains. This Tiny Home has a small fire ring outside with a park grill and a picnic table so you can enjoy the outdoors. You can also relax on the deck and listen to the frogs in the nearby creek. As you go inside the Tiny Home to the left of the front door there is wraparound seating with a dining table. The TV is located above the table. The couch and coffee table is to the right of the door. Walking straight into the Tiny Home is the kitchen that is fully stocked with all items to eat in if you so desire. To the right of the kitchen is a stacked washer and dryer. There is a hall closet to hang clothing or to store away your luggage. The bathroom has a standup shower (no tub). The bedroom has a Queen bed and more storage. In the living room take the stairs up to a loft where there is a king mattress and TV (the overall headroom is 3 feet) it would be an ideal spot for young children or your teenagers. At the top of the stairs on the left is a small storage area for the loft area.

Customer service was amazing, very helpful. Our original home had wasps nests hidden somewhere, so they were getting inside. The staff were kind enough to offer a different home to stay in instead. Our new home (Bunk House) did not have an upstairs area, but it had every other amenity we needed. The new home was clean and felt very homey- no bugs inside! The surrounding neighbors were friendly and quiet. We had decent views of the mountains from our windows. It was very nice to sit outside on the porch & look at the mountains.

The home was beautiful, clean and very pretty. The bed was pretty hard and the sheets were like sleeping on foil so next time we’ll bring our own. I did email about the television Wi-Fi not working with the password we were given and never got a reply but I can look past that and we’ll stay again.

Overall good stay, very clean, and quiet would stay again. Cons: lack of lighting in living room. Dim light makes it hard to read in evenings. Minimal cookware and no prep bowls but we made do. Absolutely no WiFi, office is aware says they are working on it but not fixed during our stay. Office has WiFi if you need it.

Wonderful Cabin with lots of Charm

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This small cabin is easy to access, has lots of charm and fit our needs. It is located within a RV resort in the back. We loved the small pond next door and the creek that was in the back. The cabin was nice and clean and had most everything we needed. The only thing negative, is the seating in the living room could have an additional chair. The couch sits 3 but someone always had to stand or sit on a bar stool to watch tv together. It was really cold, so we didn't get to enjoy the porch as much, but we can tell it will be great when the weather is warmer. Will definitely consider staying here again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed many times with Cove Mountain all with great experiences. The home was very nice. However, WiFi was non-existent. The WiFi router would never come up to be able to use it. Talked to the receptionist and she said you have WiFi. NO, we don't. If the router will not come up then you don't have WiFi. Then she said well it is just busy. Again, NO it does not matter if it is busy if you can't even select it to connect. DO NOT advertise you have WiFi if it does not work at all or only sometimes. I need it for work when we are here so I look for places that have internet. You could not stream TV in the evening either. I could not see the router on both phones or my computer. AND additionally, if it only works sometimes because too many are using it then you need to upgrade! Very aggravating conversation with the receptionist. This was just a quick trip passing through and thought we would try one of these tiny homes out. NEVER AGAIN.

We enjoyed the wrap around porch and watched the fireflies dance around the pond. I am torn between recommending to all my friends and keeping it a secret so I can always have them when we come back! Staff is always super friendly.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pro's: Convenient check-in/out; Very quiet; Well maintained. Con's: bad lay-out of house as there was no place to put your luggage except in living room floor, no clothes hangers, had to lay coats, clothes on couch or on luggage. No Keurig, there was a coffee pot. Bathroom mirror was so high, I could only see from nose up (I'm 5'2). Heater on wall above bed was very annoying. We have stayed in other tiny houses (1 bedroom; 1 bath) that were much more adequate in space, lay-out, equipped better. I can't say we had a bad experience, it was just very inconvenient and annoying at times. It doesn't compare to other tiny houses in Sevierville.

Perfect Tiny Home in the Big Valley

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family loved our stay in this conveniently-located Tiny Home/RV community. This is my 4th stay here, but 1st in the Mallard's Nest. Don't hesitate to book this one. We had plenty of room inside for the 3 of us. We loved the wrap-around deck and the pond next to us. We stayed in June with a perfect week of Spring-like weather. The pond/marsh did not smell. We had no issues with mosquitoes or bugs. The frogs would croak at night, but that did not bother us at all. It made the experience of being in the Smoky Mountains even better! I will say to those who have small children that play with a switch/tablet, teens with cell phones, or to those who work as they travel; this tiny home did not have the strongest wifi signal compared to some of the other tiny homes. However, that is to be expected here in the mountains. The rental agreement states that as well. It worked out for us because we were there to enjoy the mountains anyway. We would love to stay in this tiny home again. We enjoyed our stay as always. Thank you Cove Mountain Realty!

The location near the pond and creek was private and peaceful. The home was clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The TV remote was a little challenging but we figured it out. The only issue was used towels had been placed in the closet by the prior guests and not the shower as requested. Lamar was the ultimate professional in handling my questions. We plan to stay here again.

Perfect tiny house that didn't seem tiny. spacious campsite in a beautiful surroundings. Super clean and every thing we needed. Everything worked, no complaints. (Not a complaint for having sketchy internet as we stayed off the "grid"....priceless.)
