"Barrels" offers a perfectly sized outdoor entertaining deck at the front, complete with a BBQ, where you can enjoy breathtaking coastal ocean and mountain views. As an added bonus, there are two viewing decks at the rear that provide sweeping vistas of the most beautiful aspects of Crescent Head.

Inside, you'll find five spacious bedrooms that comfortably sleep up to 8 guests. The well-stocked kitchen includes a dishwasher, ensuring a hassle-free and low-maintenance holiday experience.

To lighten your load, the house is equipped with a full washing machine and laundry facilities.

The property is extremely tired, so much maintenance needs to be done, very worn out.No toilet rolls, no Dish washer tabs or sponges.Curtains feel down when trying to close them.Nice view

Great spacious house with fabulous decks and views.

Reviewer Comments: Lovely comfortable retro house with plenty of space and everything we needed for 3 couples attending a wedding and relaxing for a few days. The views are superb and the large covered front verandah with bbq is great for meals, drinks etc even in the rain. It is a short walk up a bit of a steep hill and driveway but it is worth doing for the wonderful outlook over the whole town, beach and creek. Lovely stepped/terraced backyard with 2 other decks which we didn’t use as there was no furniture. Great house for kids but probably not toddlers or people with mobility issues.

Great location but could use some TLC!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view from this property is outstanding but the attention to detail is definitely lacking. Overall we found the properly incredibly musty, dusty and there were definite examples of mould and general disrepair. We weren’t sure that the bedding had been washed since the last stay, a solution there would be to have bedding washed and folded on the bed ready for the guests to put on. Beyond that, there are some touches that would make a more comfortable stay. Including basics like butter, eggs, milk in the fridge, adequate hand soap and body wash (shampoo and conditioner for longer stays would be a good addition), clearing out bizarre leftover pantry items before each new guest party arrives would make sense and bring the property into line with what is generally expected. There was also no book of house rules, check in check out protocol and/or wifi password. Again, the location is the standout but it would be nice to bring this property up to standard so guests enjoy being in the house!

It is located with easy access to the shops and beach and lagoon though it is an uphill walk back! The property was clean and well maintained with wi-fi available for the first time which we appreciated. We have booked this property for a number of years and will do so again.

Maintenance Required

Stayed at Barrels a few years ago and was happy with the house. Since then, the house has deteriorated to a point that I definitely would not book it again. Unacceptable for a rental. Tiles falling off the bathroom walls, broken windows in the bathroom, no light on the balcony for night BBQing, no coffee maker, not even a coffee plunger. The list goes on but I know the owners know it's a fact.Hopefully the property can be restored sooner rather than later.
