The Villa is located in a small secluded gated community with 24-hour security service. The villa is 220 sq mts with a covered terrace that stretches the length of the house. The thatched roof is varnished giving the ceiling a warm glow. The property is surrounded by a hibiscus hedge that blooms year round. The Villa comes with a housekeeper and gardener that are completely acquainted with the property.

The villa is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen which includes, a food processor, blender, mixer, american coffee maker, and a Nespresso machine. The kitchen was completely remodeled with brand new equipment. In addition, the villa has a wide array of children's toys and games. It also has an infant pack and play. If at the time of inquiry you have a specific request please let us know so that we can try to accommodate.

Fantastic ! Like heaven !

The villa is a real dream. Fantastic patio, very classy style, a lot of taste in the decoration, all the comfort needed and even more. Plus the villa is located near by the sea (50 meters) and a swimming pool. Everything was really perfect. Elizabeth and Gonzalo were also very helpfull to make our stay even more comfortable. If you are looking for a great vacation stay : this is the place to go ! We can't wait to come back there ! Yohann, Kristina, Eva and Milena from Paris. France

PEACEFULNESS = SOSIEGO

Sosiego is the name of this peace of paradise, which translated into English means Peacefulness, Serenity, Calm, different words which convey the same meaning, a state of peace which you enter as soon as you pass through the gates of this unique villa in the Las Terrenas, Samana. The combination of the luscious gardens, with the unique arquitecture, the décor, the books, photos, paintings, details, make you feel like you are visiting a relative’s home, which makes the experience even more complete, and after a couple of ours there you will start feeling at home. Words are not enough to describe the kind of vacation your family will be able to enjoy at a place like this. The days you spend here will never be enough, not only because there are many thinks to do and explore, but because you can never have too much Sosiego. I guarantee your family will grow to love this place, and through the simple act of learning to say the name and understanding what it means, they will learn to appreciate it’s meaning, no matter how young or how old.

New Years Dream Vacation

I recently stayed at El Sosiego over New Year's Eve with my wife and family. It was the most incredible vacation anyone of us has ever had. The house itself is a dream home. It is very tastefully decorated and the owners are masters of attention to detail. They were also very gracious and we really felt as if they were life long friends of ours. The resort that the house is a part of is also very nice and right on the beach. The beach is very desolate and incredibly clean. There are rough parts (fun for the adults and our property owners have boogie boards) and there are also very calm parts which the children enjoyed very much (ages 2,4, and 6). The resort also has a pool which was very refreshing after a salty day at the beach. We did a lot of cooking at the house (the owners obviously love to cook because they have every cooking toy my wife has at home) and I even BBQ'ed a few times at the house as well. There is a supermarket in town and a specialty Italian food store with great stuff. The nights we didn't feel like cooking we ate at the restaurants within walking distance of the house. They were all very good and the local seafood is incredible!! We also rented ATV"s which the owners (Liz and Gonz) arranged for us. All in all it was a wonderful vacation and we have every intention of going back to our "new second home" in Las Terrenas. Thank you Liz and Gonz for such a wonderful experience!! Peter M.

My husband and I are originally from Cuba, but have been living in Miami, Florida since the early sixties. We are both retired. We are a blended family of four children and eight grandchildren. We have owned the villa for 18 years. The villa is not a rental property, but a home where we have spent much time with our family and created beautiful memories.
