When you’re not enjoying the stunning coastal views from the comfort of the deck, head 2 miles up the road to spend the afternoon teeing off at Lanark Village Golf Club. Great place, great owner!

This roomy house is RIGHT ON THE BAY. I mean right there. Plenty of parking, good kitchen, and the bedrooms are roomy. WIFI and TX service work well. Quick into Carrabelle. A previous renter has removed one of the window shades to black out morning sun. I contacted the owner, and he had someone out there to fix it the very next day (a Sunday!) Great reaction, great service. I felt like Rene cared about our stay. Thank you!

Wonderful

The house was immaculate. The elevator works well. The dock is great. We caught reds trout and flounder off the dock. We also, got a mess of blue crab right off the dock. The covered deck makes relaxing and watching the mullet jump great. My family had a Wonderful time. I would definitely recommend this house. The owner Was very responsive to any needs we had. I will definitely be staying there again. Loved it! Awesome week!!!

Very nice place, but dock was broken and inaccessible

The house itself was very nice, very clean, well appointed, and as advertised and shown in the photos. My family loved the house, and the elevator worked, and the sunsets and sunrises from the front porch were fantastic. However, to our great disappointment the dock was completely rotted out about 15 feet from the short and there was a missing section of planking of about 15 feet that made the majority of the dock completely inaccessible. This was a HUGE disappointment to us because we had largely booked the house because of the private dock, so we could use it for fishing and boating. There was NO indication in the listing for the house or from the owners or from VRBO before we arrived that the dock was BROKEN. This constitutes false advertising, as the dock is prominently featured in photos of the house (shown as whole and in good condition) and in the description of the house. This was a HUGE disappointment to us and we felt that we had been cheated.

A couple of concerns

All in all the house was as described. We had stayed there before about a year ago. However, the outside ice machine was not functional. And the elevator was a major issue. I'd say it functioned properly about 1/2 the time over our 6 day stay. And even then, I had to trouble shoot it every time it's use was attempted and even this was successful maybe a little more than half the time. I do know there were occupants there just prior to our arrival so I can't imagine those problems not having already been reported? Having said all that, those are easily correctable issues. The dock with the boat lift (actually 2 boat lifts) was a great amenity as it is located about a mile from the boat landing at Lanark Market. So with this you don't have to trailer you boat after every fishing trip! Small matter but the owner left 2 bait traps at the end of the dock. That is very handy. I would stay there again.

Weekend family trip

Very nice house with great views

The house is very clean and well equipped. Great views of the bay. Great location for a weekend fishing trip if you plan on fishing the bays and creeks, but boat ramps are a little drive. We would certainly stay here again.

Great and relaxing trip for Thanksgiving break!

5-night getaway for Thanksgiving was great! Our oyster based menu was a little different than our normal holiday feast but with the abundance of fresh seafood so near by we couldn’t resist. The house and property were great. The elevator was a little tricky to figure out but a blessing for my elderly in-laws. We will definitely be back!

Carrabelle get away

Pros: We love this area of Carrabelle. It is away from all the touristy areas. Worked perfectly for sitting on the dock with a line out. House was very nice. Elevator made bringing belongings in and out of the house much easier than climbing the stairs. Inside was very nice. Living room had a nice large TV. Kitchen has great assortment of pots and pans, dishes, and everything else you need. Very nicely decorated through out. Great porch with rocking chairs over looking the water. Plenty of room for parking. Cons: No local contact- we ran out of propane on the gas grill. We text and reported it. Owner asked us to pick up a tank and he would reimburse us. We also had Dish Network show up to install satellite TV. This was done during our stay and during a time we had set aside to have a nice meal and time together. Guy spent 5 hours Friday afternoon coming in and out of the house doing the install. Installer got made because I would not let him keep using my phone. Not the fault of the property except this should not have been scheduled during my stay without my consent. Internet was very bad- unable to stream netflix at all. There is no beach area. Long grass goes up to the water. The dock is in disrepair with a board missing and storms have damaged it and made it uneven (does not look like picture on the listing). Overall we had a great stay. I probably would not return to this property. Without a local contact you may have to deal with something someone else should be dealing with.

Awesome place to stay

This was our first time visiting the "Forgotten Coast". This home was amazing, and had all the accommodations necessary for an awesome fishing and boating vacation. We loved it and look forward to our next visit.
