The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Great location to Mt Ranier. The key code didn’t work to front door and no one answered when we called. We were able to get in back door and all was good!

Lovely cottage very close to Nisqually entrance to Mt. Rainier. Comfy bed and great to have very private hot tub. Nice deck under the trees.Easy to communicate with host, overall terrific stay.

Wonderful clean cabin close to Ashford and Rainier!

Great experience staying for the week. Cabin has all the amenities you need - stocked kitchen, well appointed living and sleeping space, large bathroom, and the spa was awesome after a day in the park! Washer and dryer in separate common building. Recommend going to the grocery store before arriving to Ashford as stock is limited and expensive. Highly recommend!

Cozy private hot tub under the trees

Our favorite part of the stay was the private hot tub to soak our tired muscles after a long day of hiking. The cabin was clean and comfortable; great for a stay with a friend or romantic partner.

I have called the management Evolve to discuss this unbelievable situation at this property. They stated they would look into it and call me back…never received the call. I just returned from my trip and I feel obligated to contact VRBO and the BBB to report this place so that others are not caught by surprise. I have videos of the whole place. When we initially opened the door to the property I rented, it had not been cleaned from someone before us. Dirty towels piled up in the kitchen floor. Bedding all over the floor. It took me a few times to call the host and when she did, she moved me next door to a place above an old abandoned garage with junk piled high. So when we walked in to climb the steep steps, the smell of mold and mildew was so strong that we had to hold our nose. I was there to hike at Mount Rainier, so I just put up with it, but it’s my duty to report this disgusting mess. I know that this review will not be published, but I intend to contact VRBO and the Better Business Bureau.

My husband and i spend our anniversary here. This is our 3rd time at this property and our 2nd time at elk hideaway. We love this cute little house. Its like a home away from home. Super cozy and relaxing. Cant wait to come back next year.

Great place!

This was a cozy and cute place to stay. We were close an entrance to Mount Rainier NP, which was the goal. Loved the hot tub, large shower, kitchen, fireplace, etc. It has everything you need!

Quiet and Cozy Cabin at Mount Rainier

We loved our stay at the Elk Hideaway for so many reasons! It was super easy to find and the instructions on how to get into the house made it simple after a long day of driving and getting there long after dark. The cabin is just a few miles outside of the Ashford Entrance to Mount Rainier so we didn't have to stress about getting up early to make it to the park before it got crowded and everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay was provided for us. The host has really thought of everything and it made our stay spectacular! A big thank you to the host for having some water bottles available and some tick spray as well! We would definitely stay here again and will be recommending this location to all our family and friends for their visits to the area.

Elk Hideaway

We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage in the woods. Furniture/bed comfy, kitchen had everything we needed. Bathroom very spacious! Hot tub at the end of the day after hiking the Skyline trail was heaven. Access to laundry was an extra perk much appreciated. We recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the awesome Mt Ranier

Relaxing Sanctuary

Truly a lovely experience from beginning to end of our stay. Easy entry- super clean and spacious- had all that we needed and was even better than the photos! Helpful Elk Hideaway binder with info about local restaurants and trails was appreciated. The hot tub was clean and very private.Would highly recommend if visiting Mt. Rainier -just a few miles to Nisqually entrance.

Everything you need!

I had an amazing stay at the Elk Hideaway! The property is well clean and quaint and the check-in process was a piece of cake. I was beyond grateful that there were so many items that the hosts have thoughtfully made available to their guests - from shampoo/conditioner, to bottled water, and coffee pods and creamers! To top it’s only a 5 minute drive from the Mount Rainier entrance which made my early morning hikes far more convenient. I know where I’ll be staying anytime I visit Mount Rainier!

It was such a relief to arrive in Ashford, after traveling from the east coast, and walk into Elk Hideaway, greeted with a lovely scent and super clean space. The cottage was the perfect size for two people, and we appreciated the extras available (shampoo, bath robes, coffee with real creamer, etc). The hot tub was amazing after long hikes in the park and was in a private location. I have stayed in Ritz Carlton rooms that weren’t as sparking clean as the Elk Hideaway. I am so glad we booked this stay. 10/10 would recommend!

Would absolutely visit again!

This was a perfect place to stay for our 20th Anniversary getaway! The table was large enough for puzzles and board games. The hot tub is very private and easy to set at the desired temperature - something I no longer take for granted at rentals. The whole place was just the right size for us, and felt light and airy. The kitchen was well-stocked, letting us cook several meals easily. (Do make sure that you only drink and cook with water from the filtered tap, as indicated.) Location: Even though other units are on the property, we always had great privacy. We really loved that we were only minutes from Mt Rainier National Park - no long drive after a day of hiking. We also recommend the nearby Ukrainian restaurant - they had really delicious food, especially the Borsch and the Galushki!Overall this rental was fantastic, and we would absolutely visit again!
