House is stunning in a very calm, quiet and peaceful setting.

  • 4 of 5

We vacationed with all of our children and grandchildren. Ages ranged from 45 down to a 1 year old. Pool was beautiful and kept very clean. It was a little inconvenient to actually be on the neighboring property rather than out the back door. Not a long walk, but a bit difficult bringing children through the wooded area and needing to go back and forth to the rental house each time someone needed a bathroom break, a snack, or drink. I would also recommend bringing extra towels, the house only had enough towels for each person to have one. We laundered daily. Amanda was SO helpful and accommodating to us with last minute arrival time changes and helping to guide me to the property, it's very dark on the secluded property at night. I would also recommend bringing some board games and dvd's along. We ended up purchasing some things after we arrived not realizing there wouldn't be any kind of a selection at the house. The kitchen was beautiful, we had family cooking challenges daily, that was a lot of fun! Amanda went out of her way to make sure we had a rolling pin and some spices on hand. She was also so kind to have dog treats and a dog bed waiting when we arrived😊 We left exhausted from having such a great time!!! With 9 of us staying in the house we never felt crowded. If someone needed a little quiet time they could always find a quiet space to relax on their own. Our oldest grandson lost count of all of the fish he caught with Grandpa, while our youngest daughter caught and steamed her own crabs! Wonderful family memories we will cherish for a lifetime. Thankful we were able to enjoy this beautiful home.

Owner's Response: So glad you decided to stay at Belvedere. I know you had a tremendously long drive - I am pleased to hear your family had a memorable experience. Thanks for the feedback about towels - after your visit I made sure there were extra pool size towels for our guests. Unfortunately, they managed to disappear within 2 guest visits. Now we are back to 'bring your own pool towels'. Hope to have your family and your cute Corgis as guests next year!

Very beautiful luxury home

  • 5 of 5

This home is wonderful! It is so comfortable and has such a accommodating floor plan that our extended family well used. The furnishings and design of the home was really very nice; modern, bright and open.

The location was very quiet. It was a treat sitting outside listening to the frogs and watching the kids chase lightening bugs. It was nice to be able to rent a boat and leave it tied up to the dock out back. The home is quite close to Cambridge and Oxford both by boat and by car.

The property manager was especially helpful with suggestions of things to do and see in the area. This was a great place to stay.

Such a perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

Very nice - better than we expected.

You really are in your own world; immersed in nature and privacy yet with all the modern amenities. Pool, cable TV, great fully equipped kitchen,.. My husband ended up spending his days kayaking on the river behind the home. He is a wildlife photographer and got magnificent pictures of a tiny spotted fawn and the great gray heron that seems to spend considerable time fishing in the pond in the woods.

I loved the library on the second floor. It was the perfect quiet spot to curl up with a book.

The property manager, Amanda, was there when we called with questions or assistance. She let us use the crab traps on the dock and lent us fishing equipment The crabs and fishing were an added bonus for the grandkids.

The central location enabled us to visit the nearby towns without having to deal with traffic.

A tip from us: go on the Oxford-Bellview ferry. It's the oldest ferry in the country; a bit of history for you!

Over the top luxury and location

  • 5 of 5

Our family has gone to the Eastern Shore area for 11 years now during various seasons. We love all the festivals, events and just the general feel of the area. During our explorations we have tried upscale inns as well as homes in the Oxford/Easton/St Michaels area.

This home, it's location and the amenities are AMAZING! My goodness - heated marble floors in the master bath that's equipped with a jacuzzi tub and a shower large enough for a family of 4. A gas fireplace in the super-sized master suite that has a private entrance to the rear deck. A kitchen worthy of a professional chef with a fabulous view of the woods and river. An intercom, a whole house stereo, flatscreen TVs liberally scattered throughout, a gas fireplace in the upstairs living area, a second suite upstairs, whew! My head is spinning and I can't list all the other features!

We knew it was love at first sight when we drove down the long drive through the woods, past the pond that actually had a heron stalking about searching for fish. My husband is a nature lover and listening to the geese chatting together on the river had him enchanted. Then when see saw the herd of deer quietly moving across the back yard in the morning.... Well!

We will definitely return in the summer and take advantage of the crabbing and kayaking the owner described that can be done off the dock. The pictures of the number of crabs that were caught - well, were going to invite friends to help with the meal!

Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay!
