We were visiting family in the area for Thanksgiving. This house was lovely-- comfortable, clean, and plenty of room to spread out in. It was cold, and on some days rainy, when we were there and the house was warm and cozy. It worked great for our kids and dogs. The host was responsive and helpful and the stay felt easy. Would definitely stay here again next time we're in the area.

Nice country Connecticut hideaway

Very clean, very usable, liked the four house levels for privacy when needed, great private TV room in bottom level that did not disturb anyone in the bedrooms. The bed listed as a queen was actually a double, but all else was excellent.

Family get away

I enjoyed my stay with family! It was great only issues I had was with the thermostat but I informed the host and he was right on it got it fixed right away only two dislikes I experienced was that it was only two tvs thru out the house and no light on back porch other that that I would definitely rent here again and like 20-30 minutes from a store or Walmart.

Wonderful House!

This house is very large with everything you could want ... full kitchen, condiments, large dining table, multiple seating areas, half bath off the master ... and most important (to us) a king size bed, which the vast majority of listings do not have. The house is in a lovely wooded area.

We had a fantastic, relaxed week in Woodbury as part of an extended trip across a few north-east states. The house was perfect for us, lots of space for our two teenagers to have a bit of time and space, the den was great for family film time and the huge back garden gave lots of space for games. The kitchen was very well equipped and there was nothing we were left wanting. We had a wee issue while we were there and the host could not have been more helpful in helping us to resolve it. Highly recommend!

Great little spot

We had a great time. I read the reviews in advance and didn’t bring many toys for my 4 year old and 1 year old and I’m glad I didn’t waste the luggage space. They had a closet full of toys! I thought this was a very solid house, especially for the price. We had an issue with the shower, but Glen promptly texted me back and my husband was able to figure out a fix. Cell service was spotty, but nothing the host could do about that. The internet was great.

Great house, beautiful outdoor space

We were a family of four senior adults who came for a family reunion. The house was very clean, the bedrooms were comfortable, the view from the deck was beautiful and so relaxing. The kitchen is fantastic and stocked with everything needed to cook, bake, fry, or sauté anything. We only had two small issues. The tub is very deep and it’s difficult to get out of safely without some type of grab bar. And there was no information about operating the television downstairs. We couldn’t find basic networks for my cousin to watch the nascar race.

Blah interior

The kitchen in this unit is very nice, although having a number of bottles of condiments it it was most unusual. The living room's decor is extremely bland, with 2 sofas a coffee table and no rug. The bedrooms are also a bit bland and the only TV in the unit is in the "master" bedroom. But no instructions on how to use the 3 remote. Lots of kids stuff around and the basement with two big sofas and a fireplace surrounded by a metal fence leads me to think this is/was a childs daycare. Or perhaps since there is an amusement park in the area this rental is meant for a family with kids. This is certainly not worthy of the amount charged.

Accurate description, very clean and comfortable

This home was spotless clean and comfortable. Everything was in good working order and well maintained. The beds and furniture were comfortable and seemed relatively new. The hosts left a selection of items in the bathroom in case we had forgotten them - - travel size toothpaste, a new toothbrush, small soaps/shampoos, etc., which was very thoughtful. We stayed because we were attending a wedding nearby. One thing that they did not have was any large mirrors/full length mirrors - - there are only the vanity mirrors in the bathrooms. That would not matter to most people, it really was only an issue because we were dressing for a wedding. Communication was good, with email and text instructions. The kitchen was nicely appointed; although it could use a tea kettle and a medium sized saucepan it had everything else we needed and all in excellent condition. A hummingbird visited me on the deck, which was a fun surprise. All in all we were very pleased with our choice an would stay again!

Nice quiet place in the country.

Nice clean home in the hills of Connecticut. Good accommodations for up to six people. Be advised there is no lighting at all on back deck (stringers or sconce light). There is also only one TV tucked away in a basement converted room. There are toys for children. No hot tub, dartboard or pool table for adult fun time. Very basic, simple home for those wanting time in a quiet place.
