Great location with an easy walk to the beach, bike rentals, and Salty Dog! We loved the view off the patio and regularly saw deer grazing in the evenings. Condo was clean and comfortable with a kitchen well equipped for cooking breakfast and plenty of towels in the bathroom! We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent winter escape

We would recommend Gene's place for a winter escape. We enjoyed the proximity to the Hilton Head south beach and the incredible trails and of course, the Salty Dog Cafe. While the suite could use some updating, it is very comfortable as is with all the amenities needed for a short or lengthy stay.

Highly recommend staying here if you want a one bedroom spot perfectly located next to Salty Dog and the water. Clean property, great view, wild life, peaceful, loved every second. Checked in early and owner was great to work with.

Peaceful Reset

Great location - unit was very comfortable and well appointed. The unit is looking a little worn and could use some updating, but it did not affect the comfort of staying there. Very enjoyable and would stay there again if needed. The owner was also very accommodating in allowing me to gain early access and even contacted me to let me know the cleaning service was running a little late. It was a pleasant visit!

Spring Break

First time staying in South Beach section of Sea Pines- and we will never stay anywhere else! Location of condo overlooking a waterway… and a simple walk across the street to the sound was PERFECT. And the dolphin display at sunset each night was beyond description. We spent every evening at sunset watching multiple dolphins hunt and play- it was spectacular.. The biking options are amazing- as are pickleball and tennis- all are walking distance. Condo was a great home for a few days! Thank you so much!

Fantastic location

This condo was just what we were looking for and expecting! It was clean and very easy to access. This property is in the most perfect location!!! It is in sea pines, right near the salty dog. The condo could definitely use some updating. The kitchen & bathroom are very dated. But it was clean & the location is superb!

Great location, 3 minute walk to the Salty Dog and the beach. Perfect place for watching the dolphins and sunsets. Owner communicated great and was quick to respond. The place could use some updates in fixtures (bathroom, kitchen sink) and furniture. Cleanliness was pretty good, hard to get things looking clean with worn and dated. Overall a solid place, would be 5-stars with updates and some freshening up.

Great Location

So easy to check in. We knew it was 3 stair up because it said so in the listing. Plenty of parking we parked right out front. We walked to the Salty Dog and the beach was right across the street. The bike rentals were right near the salty Dog and they can deliver & pick them up. The condo was clean yes old but the whole building was. The frig was dripping and she tried to get a new one to us but the steps had been resurfaced so no delivery.

Beautiful location

Propert was in an excellent location and close to the beach. At low tide the beach was huge and not very crowded. Unit was on the third floor and no elevator. We weren’t aware of this until we made the final payment. We would have looked for a different unit if we were aware when reviewing the on line description. We have mobility issues.

A few flaws but overall a nice stay

The fridge had still leftovers from previous guests and in general the apartment was clearly cleaned but not very thoroughly. Linens should be changed and upgraded and please, get new pillows. Those available are horrible! Kitchen is equipped with cheap pans and silverware (you must be very careful, they will bend smashing avocados for guac if not handled properly). Besides this, the apartment deserves a great rating for the location which is fantastic as well as the spaces that are very generous compared to other solutions on the island. Overall a great stay and would consider again when back in HHI.

Hi Jacopo, the homeowner has asked us to share this response: - Thanks for your helpful feedback; upgrades will be in process as soon as I can get down there! - I recently changed out several pans in the kitchen, and it looks like I need to do more. - The cleaning company will be made aware of the refrigerator issue and the linens that you were not happy about. I apologize for those. - It is a great location, and that is primarily why my wife and I purchased the villa 20 years ago! There is always room for improvement, and I appreciate your comments. I am glad your visit was great overall!

We enjoyed the condo, location and activities. Our only complaint was with our "contact person". I tried 4 different times to get in touch with her and she never responded to any of my emails or voice mails. There were no sheets for the pull-out couch and my brother ended up just sleeping on the couch with his pillow!! It was ridiculous!

Dirty, foul odor and needs updating.

Felt rates were shady. Condo was very old and dirty. Foul odor. Air fresheners hidden behind furniture added to odor. We wore our flip flops in the condo. TVs were very small… 13”; wanted to watch football and couldn’t see screen. Very disappointed. We LOVE Bluff Villas ( have rented there for 20+ years) but not this unit!

It was lovely.

Only complaint we have is how loud the complex is. Because of where the condo is at the top of the stairs, all the noise and sounds echo straight in through the door. That was rough when we wanted to rest or sleep in the mornings. Other than that we enjoyed the beach and location of the condo very much.
