Happy Jack cabin

This was a quiet and comfortable cabin. They had everything well stocked. The owner was wonderful to work with and even texted us about weather moving in to the area.

Wonderful Getaway

This is our second time staying at this cabin, We love the open floorplan with plenty of space and were greeted by a smores basket and bottle of wine, such a nice touch! There is also a coffee bar and condiments in case you forgot something. We would definitely stay again:)

Peace in the woods

The cabin was cute, cozy and bright. It was set back from the road in the trees which made it feel very private. There was so much wildlife - many types of birds, busy squirrels, and a lot deer right in the front yard. We enjoyed nights by the fire, relaxing in the hammocks and playing games on the deck. Thank you for a great stay!

Great time for the entire family

Cabin was well stocked and very practical - had many options in terms of things to do, gathering places and a nice open feel. Wildlife was out in full force - saw deer, rabbits, squirrels and so many birds. Cabin was incredibly clean and had just about everything we needed - kitchen especially. Beds were comfortable and the home in general felt very well taken care of. Loved it and would highly recommend it to others.

Coziest cabin getaway!!

My family and I loved our Christmas stay at the happy shack cabin! Anything we forgot, they had there and more. All you really need to do is show up with your clothes. It has the coziest touches throughout and they’ve thought of everything to make it warm and inviting. My favorite parts were their coffee bar and outdoor firepit, as well as the inside wood burning fireplace. It’s impossible not to relax with a fire going and a hot cup of coffee in the woods! They left supplies for s’mores and hot chocolate which our daughter loved. The hosts are incredibly sweet and accommodating as well. They had everything we needed for our kids and pups. We will absolutely be visiting again!

Best Glamping experience ever!

What a beautiful property. It was nice to escape from the Hotter Arizona heat. The location was perfect. It literally felt like we were alone. What we loved the most was the deck and hammocks. With the nice cool weather, it was awesome to be outside and one with nature. The property manager went out of her to bring a nice bottle of wine (Stella Rosa) my favorite. We definitely enjoyed it next to the campfire. My family and I without a doubt stay here again. It was the perfect staycation.

Xmas at the happy shack

We finally booked a cabin for Xmas!! The property was perfect. Everything was extremely clean and everything was as described on the listing. We were greeted with a s’mores kit and wine and anything that we forgot at home could be found at the happy shack. They also had courtesy toiletries, blankets, heaters, you name it. The location was perfect, not to close to other properties. The home felt cozy and we had a great time spending Christmas there ! I would definitely recommend this place. Communication with the host could’ve been a little better , however I do take into consideration it was a holiday weekend and so that could’ve caused a bit of a delay with getting a response .

Everything was exactly as pictured and more. They had everything you could possibly need in case you forgot something. I honestly wasn’t expecting all the extra stuff they let us use, like a whole s’mores kit, a bottle of wine, coffee and tea, and all these extra toiletries. There was always something to do and the outside area was super nice too. There was wildlife around! The entire property is clearly well maintained and taken care of. I’d love to come back there in the winter. Lots of contact info and just info in general on the cabin and the surrounding area. It was super cozy and cute and comfortable to live in. They even had extra toys for dogs and treats for them too.The only negative things were that the sliding doors, specifically the one from the living room to outside, were hard to open and got stuck a lot. There also was no AC upstairs so it got very hot up there during the day but at night, it was fine cuz it was cold outside. We really only went upstairs to sleep tbh. In addition to super hard to open sliding doors downstairs, there was leaking shower head in downstairs bathroom, that can possibly cause water damage if not taken care of immediately. Aside from that it was perfect. Location is absolutely beautiful.

Well-appointed House - Fantastic Property Manager

We have stayed in quite a few Vrbo houses and this one is by far the most well-appointed property yet. Thoughtful amenities include a fully stocked coffee and hot chocolate bar, games for the family, and plenty of firewood for the outdoor fire pit. Although the amenities were a treat, the property manager proved to be very helpful and responsive to all of our questions AND our plea to help us find an item we thought we left behind. Thank you again for a wonderful experience!

Magical!

Happy Shack – the perfect name for the perfect getaway. “Wow” is the first thing that comes to mind when approaching this luxurious retreat from the routine. This place is stunning – and just a short drive from Phoenix! It’s a cozy and gorgeous A-frame cabin, but so much more. While cozy, it’s actually really big! When we arrived, we were greeted with Happy Shack personalized wine and an adorable S’mores set. So thoughtful! The cabin is so tidy and stylish, and the details really impressed me … they are incredible! There’s a super-cute coffee bar area, so many fun games to choose from, a cool dining table area and a large TV above the fireplace to enjoy a movie. The beds are so comfy, the linens are beautiful (I’m still thinking about those fluffy white luxe towels!), and the bathrooms are so cute – the hosts even provide toiletries! The mornings were cool and perfect, and it was so amazing to gently wake to the sounds of the native birds in the pine trees. And where to start on the outside – it’s perfection! A huge wraparound patio is where we ate most of our meals. There’s also a cool custom firepit with Adirondack chairs surrounding it that we took full advantage of – S’mores, anyone? We also lazed on the hammocks surrounding the property, which is so perfect and peaceful. We enjoyed long quiet walks in the mornings and fun activities in the afternoons – like ax throwing and archery! Finally, we took the kayaks generously provided by the hosts to C.C. Cragin (Blue Ridge) Reservoir, which was only 20 minutes away, and had the best time on the water! As for service, the manager of Happy Shack is super-responsive and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this cool place that I am now officially in love with… What an experience the hosts provide! This place is fantastic – the perfect secluded getaway that I definitely will return to soon!

A hidden gem!

The Happy Shack is a charming hidden gem! It has been so thoughtfully upgraded and is the perfect cozy gathering place for family & friends. We loved sitting on the spacious porch under the trees, hanging out at the gas firepit in the evenings, and eating/playing games around the dining table! Everyone also REALLY loved the reclining couch seats! The hosts are very responsive and there are so many thoughtful amenities, from welcome wine to toiletry baskets to a fully stocked beverage station. We are already talking about how we’d love to come back (so we can kayak at blue ridge!).

HappyShack is where it's at!

The only thing you need for a stay at happy shack is your clothes and food. This place is truly a home in the pines. A fully stocked kitchen with a full size fridge for all your goodies. The most comfortable sofa we've ever had at any BnB we've ever stayed at. Plenty of room for the whole family. A coffee/tea/cocoa bar that is perfectly thought out and stocked with anything you could ask for. Showers with plenty of water pressure for a good soaking, and adjustable for tall people! A game cupboard full of board games and puzzles and a large family size dinner table to gather around. They have provided everything you could think of and more from the beautiful decor and all those little touches that add to the ambience to the sweet welcome when you arrive, it's truly a home away from home. And then there's the fire pit, the stars or the rain storms whichever you end up with is great. The activities like corn hole, life size Jenga, hammocks (great nap spots!), A fun swing and then there's kayaks and a reservoir and lake not far. So much to do and enjoy! And no matter what ... The porch is our favorite spot. We love watching deer and blue Jays, eating our meals and playing games on the porch.... not something we get to do much of in our normal summer heat. We truly have the hardest time leaving the serenity and beauty of happy shack and can't wait to come again.

A wonderful weekend getaway!

My husband and I had been searching all week for a weekend getaway. But of course when you’re looking last minute, there aren’t many options. When we saw The Happy Shack Cabin had availability because of a cancellation, we knew our weekend away was meant to be! The hosts were incredible. They were quick to respond to any questions we had and the cabin had so much there for you to use. There was a welcome basket with treats (I don’t want to spoil the surprise so I won’t say what). The coffee bar had coffee options and sugar options and creamer options and hot chocolate and tea. The bathrooms had toothbrushes and makeup wipes and feminine products and Q-tips, it was nice to know toiletries were there for us should we need them. There were also board games, decks of cards and a fire pit that was excellent for s’mores. The kitchen had everything you needed to use for cooking too! Our dog loved all the outdoor space for running around. He was so happy to be there. And there’s a fun little thing to do with your dog that stays there as a little memory. We loved that touch. I absolutely recommend The Happy Shack Cabin. Can’t wait to stay there again! ☺️

The Happy Shack Hosts were amazing and accommodating!

We would highly recommend this cute A-Frame. We had a great time, weather was beautiful and our dogs loved every minute of it as well. Would love to come and stay again!

Great Experience

Our family was happy with our experience. The cabin had a lot of kitchen supplies we weren’t expecting, but it was so nice to have available. The manager was also very responsive to our questions. My kids particularly enjoyed the swing in the backyard.

Great getaway cabin experience!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Happy Shack. Owners make it very comfortable and accommodating. Beautiful deck for BBQ and outside dining. Loved making smores over the campfire.
