- Your safety matters. This property features 1 exterior security camera facing outward toward the driveway. It does not look into any interior spaces. The camera records video and sound when activated by motion. It will record when it first senses motion, and 30 seconds after the last motion is detected

Very clean!! Had all amenities needed for a great stay. Owner was super nice and let us check out 2 hours after time because of below freezing temperatures in the morning. 10/10 !!!

The host was not quick to respond. It took days to get a response to simple questions. The house itself needs some minor repairs. The description for the drive and road conditions to the property are misleading. It was a steep gravel and dirt road that was very muddy and over a mile long, which was not in the description. The cleanliness of the house upon arrival could have been better as well.

A Hidden Gem in the Smoky Mountains!

We came to North Carolina for a long weekend with our adult kids, and found this home to be absolutely stunning... the photos don't do it justice! The home is beautiful and comfortable, with a loaded chef's kitchen, and a soaring two story ceiling and wall of windows in the living room, facing out to the incredible mountain view. There are three stories with two expansive decks off the lower and middle floors, where you can sit and watch the smoke rising on the mountains in the morning, or roast marshmallows on the firepit on the deck in the evening while you listen to the chorus of nature. There is plenty of space for everyone to be together, or take advantage of some peaceful moments of solitude. The spacious bedrooms are super comfortable, and three of them have their own private deck looking out into the woods. You can hear the flowing creek from all of them, which was incredibly delightful. There are thoughtful touches throughout the house, including baskets of soft throws here and there, a really nice grind and brew coffee maker with bag of fresh coffee beans sitting next to it, a welcome basket on the counter with treats, laundry detergent on top of the washer, and fire logs available for the lovely stone fireplace. The downstairs game room provided a lot of fun, and we enjoyed games, movies and playing pool. The secluded location makes you feel like you're enveloped by the forest, and yet you're only a short twenty minutes away from restaurants and shopping in Waynesville, and not too much further from great hiking and whitewater rafting. This was absolutely a five star experience, and we can't wait to come back!

GSMP Summer Vacation

The house is beautiful. The beds are very comfortable. There are plenty of bathrooms for our party of 10 people. The views are magnificent. We spent most of our time on the decks when we were at the house. The road and driveway is an entirely different experience for us coming from Wisconsin where we live in a flat part of the state. The kitchen is well stocked. The drinking water is very good. When traveling to mountainous areas, just expect to drive plenty of hours to do things such as hiking, biking, and visiting national parks and forests. All were well worth the drives. We cleaned out the hummingbird feeders, filled them with food and saw hummingbirds everyday at the feeder. We saw baby cardinals in a nest close to the house and a snake came out to greet us on our first day. Enjoyed our stay!

Tracking elk!

We had a wonderful time in this space. It was set up for quality time whether together with family or on your own reading in a quiet place. The host has thought of many things to entertain. Books of all genres strategically placed. Games. Pool table. Wonderful leather couches to sink into. Fireplace to warm the heart. And the outside is just as nice with tons of seating, babbling brook, and the incredible view. We never saw a soul while on the mountain. The beds were comfy. Plenty of bathrooms for groups. All the kitchen gear we needed. They thought of everything for us. Thank you for letting us use your space.

Great house, location is a bit difficult to get to.

Had a great time overall. The roads are a bit tricky, though it may have been mostly because the maps still listed some of them as closed. Issue with the HVAC on the first night, but Vicky got us all fixed right away with no hassle. Very much looking forward to coming back next year!

Great family time

Had great time with our grown kids. Played games. Grilled out. Road was scary but everybody got home with no scratches or bumps ono our cars. Cabin was spacious and very accommodating. Needs a couple upgrades but beds were good. AC worked great. Overall had a great time

It was ok, but would not recommend

Pictures are obviously old as the furnishings are very worn and the cabin was not as clean as I would expect. Door code was not correct upon arrival and had to call manager to get in. Spider webs in ceilings, 2 of the 5 tvs didnt work, chair cushions for outdoor furniture were very dirty and not usable, grounds definitely need some attention, deck was not clean at all and the drive to the cabin should be better explained. One-lane gravel road with very few places to turn around if you meet another vehicle. No place to put garbage outside of the house, had to leave in the kitchen. The only positive, it does have a nice view of the mountain tops and the surrounding areas were enjoyable....but we would not return.

Family Time in the Smokeys

Fantastic home within 15 minutes of the park. Rooms were comfortable and large enough in gathering space for everyone to not feel crowded-in. Decks were perfect for mid days on lower deck and evenings on upper deck with gas fire pit giving a rouch of warmth. Excellent!

We spent a relaxing vacation nestled among the trees with few and far between neighbors. Peaceful, quiet, and breathtaking views of quite a few mountain tops. Spacious, comfortable, and large rooms with bathrooms. The ambiance of the sitting area with a warm fire and a Christmas tree, family curled up with cocoa and memories- definetly to be recommended to all.

Fall color trip

The house is surrounded by a beautiful fall color forest with a great Mountain View. We really enjoyed this reunion trip with old friends. Due to the mountain gravel road condition, it is better to arrive at the house before sunset. Also it’s better to drive a four wheel drive vehicle and to plan to have dinners at the house.

Relaxing mountain getaway

What a way to vacation! Lots of time was spent on the decks enjoying the view. Hiking near the creek was a favorite activity for the kids, and we all enjoyed the pool table and games. The pictures made the main living room look bigger than it is, but otherwise it was very accurately represented by the advertisement.

Family and friends trip

Our family and friends enjoyed our trip here at this beautiful cabin. The cabin had a spectacular view, and was absolutely beautiful inside. We had everything we needed and more. The place was super clean, and stocked with everything you could possibly think of, like a home away from home. All the beds were very comfy. We will stay again. We would absolutely recommend staying in this beautiful home. Has everything you would need. The drive up the mountain is a bit terrifying but so worth it once you get to the house. We would stay here again. Thank you for renting out your home.
