The Space:

A Sea Glass Estate is an ideal venue for weddings, reunions, retreats and vacations. Relax on the wraparound porch with deck seating while enjoying the 1.7 acres of beachfront living. This beautiful, unique 4224 square foot home has 9 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.



The first floor features: Texas Master -- king bed and a queen sofa, and an ensuite bath with giant soaking tub; Seaside Memories -- king bed, queen sofa, and a living area with 2 queen sofas. On this floor there is an additional guest bath. The second floor includes: Pirates Cove -- twin over twin bunk and a queen bed; The Sanddollar -- king bed; The Lighthouse -- king bed; The Nautical - twin over twin bunk bed and twin over queen bunk bed; The Palm Tree -- king bed; Under the Sea -- twin over twin bunk and twin over queen bunk. There are also two non-connected guest baths to be shared among those bedrooms. The third floor offers the Honeymoon suite -- king bed, television, and a queen sofa with an ensuite bath.

The kitchen has double ovens, dual refrigerator/freezers and granite island, as well as cabinets stocked with all you need to prepare and enjoy meals (including two regular drip coffee pots!) The open concept living and dining area provide for spacious gathering and entertaining. The property offers Smart TVs and high speed internet for your convenience.



Outdoor celebration areas include a sundeck, and pergola/stage. A Sea Glass Estate offers you a charcoal grill downstairs, as well as plenty of parking for all your guests. You can be on the beach in seconds when you take the private walking bridge over the dunes to the beach directly from your back yard. When beach time is done, the Estate is also convenient to coastal shopping and restaurants.



Small pets (dogs under 35 pounds) are allowed with additional fee. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.

Great for big families!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is big enough to host large families, plenty of space! Location is great on the beach front. Just wish it was a bit cleaner. Kitchen was dirty on countertops and some dishes dirty in cabinets. The downside of making renters clean and put away dishes- if they are rushing to get out they wont make sure they are clean as we had to clean some. Bathroom showers had hair on them, needed cleaning. Towels were super old and gross, time for an upgrade on these. This is an older home. We had a great time no matter what though! Checkin at 12pm is awesome too!

Perfect house for reunions

The house was amazing. Kitchen had everything you would needed. We were right on the beach which made it easy to get on the beach. The sand crossing over the sand dome was extremely HOT. We ended up driving around to our spot. Check in and out was a breeze! Grocery store less than a mile from the house. I highly recommend this house for large groups.

The house is perfect for big families. The location and all of the amenities are so convenient. We beached everyday with kids, and at night would sit outside on the beautiful wrap around deck. There was more than enough space for all 19 of us. Honestly, we had a great beach vacation with extended family. However, the booking listing on Vrbo says check out was at 4pm. Upon arrival they told us it was 11am. We told them our contract said 4pm, and they said the best they could do was 12pm. We asked if we were out of the house by 12 if we could leave our cars there until we were done at the beach. They told us they had others coming and we could not. They said cleaning only takes an hour for this huge property, and the other party would be there after that. It wasn’t super clean when we arrived, so I do believe that. We were missing lots of pillowcases on beds, and you need to bring your own supplies as far as trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and laundry detergent. We would book this again, we would just come more prepared, bring our own pillowcases, and verify our checkout time upon booking.

The property is very spacious with amazing an amazing view of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. I do recommend installing a ramp/elevator for those who have difficulty climbing stairs. I also recommend that the toilets be upgraded to higher, “adult sized” toilets.

Great family reunion venue

This property accomodated a family reunion of guests from 3 yrs old to 73 yrs old comfortably both for inside and outside activities. The location is excellently located on the beach. The property was clean. The stairs has new carpet which i was pleasantly surprised about considering the old carpet i seen when i first went to see the property. There was an inconvenience with the kitchen sink backing up and causing the vent area in the hallway to leak water. The maintenance came quickly and ran a temporary line until a plumber could come and that fixed the problem and satisfied us. Other than that, there was no issue. This is a excellent property for large family gatherings!

It is very spacious there's plenty of space to spread around. The location is absolutely perfect. Most of my family were kids and teens and they spend most the day at the beach. The Dining room table was perfect to sit everyone. We liked that we were able to drive around on the beach. The drive to the house was really nice. The locals are also very nice. We made multiple trips to the big store. Overall we all had a really good time.

When we previewed the house in Feb, we mentioned to Swede’s Realty that the house was dirty. It was having some work done, so understandable that it would be dusty, however inside kitchen drawers were filthy. We were assured the house would be in good shape. It was not, same dirt still in drawers. This place needs an overhaul. A coat of paint, repair outside deck gates, good deep clean of kitchen and baths needed! No broom or vacuum provided to sweep floors inside. Bath and back doors stuck and trapped people. Outdoor trash bin was inadequate for that many people.

Terrible Experience

First off I did not even get to stay in this house. They called me the day before my check in day to let me know there was storm damage, 1 month after the storm... They put me in another house that was half the size of this one with no discount what so ever. They said that they were working with another property owner to make sure that we were placed somewhere and that owner requires a 3 day minimum but he was willing to work with us and let us stay the 2 nights for the price we paid for the bigger house. We get to the house that they placed us in and Swedes lied!! There was a Swedes sign on the outside of that house, showing who to call if you need to reserve!! -The beds were TERRIBLE!! We literally had people leaving after 1 night because they couldnt get comfortable. -You pay this high cleaning fee, yet when you look at the book they leave on the counter then you are responsible for all clean up. Wiping counters, Sweeping, vacuuming, etc. -The house was beach front but you couldnt see the beach due to how nasty the windows were. We booked for all of our family to come down for our wedding and this is how we were treated after spending thousands of dollars. Your wedding is suppose to be the best day of your life and this was a vacation from hell!! -

The rental company, Swedes Real Estate, is bad news

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What went well: house had great potential, master bedroom updates were wonderful, tons of rooms, beautiful view.What rental company made miserable and dangerous:1. They said all we needed to bring was toilet paper and paper towels. They DID NOT SAY WE ALSO NEEDED TO BRING hand soap, dish soap, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, etc.2. ALL OF THE FIRE ALARMS were dead (pre-power off), excluding one whose test sound was so low that I could barely hear it standing right next it. We burned something a tiny bit in the oven and some smoke-not enough for a fire, but enough for a decent fire alarm, yet no alarms went off. Around 25 members of the same extended family were in this house.3. All of the frames, door slats, fan blades, and even the bench at the end of my bed was COVERED IN DUST. Our allergies were acting up IN the house, yet NOT OUTSIDE.4. An arctic front knocked out the power for nearly 48 hours and the temperatures dropped into the teens (wind chill was 8 degrees at one point). We do not blame them for the power outage, BUT:A) we were not offered, even when we begged, any extra blankets to supplement the 1 summer-temperatures-ready, light weight quilt provided for each bed. We had already EVEN paid the extra fee of $250 for linens! B)we were not allowed to use the fireplace to produce extra heatC) the pipes began to burst around the city and while begging for blankets and knowledge of their contingency plan was for in situations like this, they simply said we would likely lose all water soon.Bottom line, there was no contingency plan or communication with us about what we should do IF any of these situations arose. We had family from age 3 to 78 in the house and from as far away at Seattle. This was our first gathering of the entire family in months and months. The Swedes Real Estate company was not prepared to rent vacation rentals anybody if they did not have a contingency plan or

The house was beautiful, however when we got there it was extremely hot on the second and third levels and one of the beds was broken. I had messaged them letting them know and they told me it’s a big space and to gradually lower the temp on the thermostat. I let them know shortly later that the air was still not working and it was absolutely unbearable inside. We had guests and their children sleeping outside on the porch and in their cars because it was unbearably hot. The next morning once the opened I called again and was informed they have a 24/7 maintenance team but that my calls and messages weren’t going through and something was wrong with their system. They sent their tech out and discovered that the AC unit was broken, they brought 4 window units to cool the entire second and third floor and also sent a carpenter to fix the bed. There were three rooms without units. The ac units couldn’t keep up and it was still super hot. They ended up refunding us for the first night, which I am thankful for, and honestly other than the HVAC issues the house and property were perfect!
