Looking to get out of the city? Come enjoy our rustic cabin, nestled right on Groom Lake 30 minutes past Huntsville. VERY comfortable bedding and spectacular lake views to wake up to. Sleeping cabin sleeps extra guests.Fire pit right on the water! BBQ for use.
Will offer better price for 2-4 week rentals.

Come enjoy our renovated slice of heaven! Lots to do. The swimming is fantastic and there’s nearby caves, hiking, waterfalls, kayaking and more! Kayaks included. Located right in the town of Kearney.

Snowshoes for use in the winter. Close to Arrowhead Provincial Park and Hidden Valley Ski Resort to name a few! 2 sitting areas outside; one with screens.

Our family enjoyed the property! Beautiful views of the lake from both the cottage and dock area. Cottage had a warm, cozy feel and was well furnished with Algonquin inspired decor. Kitchen was fully stocked and beds were clean with comfy duves. Host was friendly and accessible. Town of Kearney is close by if you need food or supplies and the people are very friendly. There are steep steps down to the property and lake so not ideal for individuals with mobility issues.

Our recent stay

We had a fantastic stay here last week. The cottage was great. From the large windows facing the lake to the winding staircase to the loft bedroom, we couldn’t ask for anything more. The owners are very responsive and will provide you with all the info you need. Don’t hesitate to book your stay here.

The best cottage in the area!!

Such a beautiful scenery right in front of the cottage. The cottage inside feels so warm, cozy and clean. Feels like my grandma's house. Would definitely come back!!

Peaceful and fun visit

We had a blast and wished our stay was longer. Comfortable space, great kitchen and spectacular view of the lake. A very nice access point for swimming and getting out on a kayak. Just wish we saw more loons!

We had such an amazing time. Being right on the lake was awesome, the kids spent so much time swimming and simply enjoying the view. We really appreciated all the fun board games and the little karaoke machine. Lots of small touches to this cottage that made our stay stay absolutely memorable and fun!

Loved our stay at this rustic cottage

Our family had a great time spending the long weekend at this cottage. We were lucky with beautiful weather and got to enjoy the water. Jamie was very responsive and provided clear direction throughout the weekend. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again with our family in the future.

Marvellous cottage!

This is an extremely pleasant, comfortable cottage, and we had a marvellous stay! The living area is spacious with splendid windows that look out on the lake and a terrific wood burning stove. It being February, it was covered in ice and snow. There were snowshoes at the cottage which we used on the lake and in nearby Arrowhead Provincial Park. We definitely want to go back!

Peaceful Visit

The cottage was cosy and adorably decorated. It was very well stocked with all of the necessities and then some. There were loads of kitchen supplies, as well as games, DVDs, water toys… The dock area had a beautiful view, and was very peaceful. Ducklings visited every morning to hang out. Kayaking around the small lake was most enjoyable as was stargazing and late night swims. I would highly recommend visiting this cottage. I’m sure it’s absolutely adorable in the fall and winter too!

The property was beautiful, the cabin needs a bit of repairing. The screen on the patio door was ripped and allowed mosquitoes inside the cabin, the children got locked in the bunkie due to a wooden lock that latched on its own, and the patio door in the small bedroom was tapped close so there was no air flow in the room and could not be opened.

Amazing cabin by the lake!

We absolutely loved our experience here. We were 2 couples who just wanted to get out of the city and enjoy a calm and secluded long weekend, which is exactly what we were able to get with this cute and cozy cabin. The place is very well stocked up, kitchen wise, and had ample amount of towels, bed linen and so on. The place was big enough to accommodate both couples as it has 2 separate bed areas. The great highlight of this cabin is the lake, which unfortunately was frozen due to the time of year, but was such a picturesque view from the windows. It was very easy to get to. Parking was easily available and the check in process was simple. The instructions and communication by Jamie the host was seamless and friendly. All in all the place and experience was amazing and we would highly recommend it.

A perfect retreat!

After a long drive, we arrived at the cabin. As soon as we entered, our eyes were transfixed to n the incredible view of the lake which inspired our inaugural dip. In the days to come, we settled in and found great rest. Dinners were easy as the kitchen was well equipped and our sleeping arrangements were comfortable. I might bring a fan for the back room next time l. We also brought a modem for wireless which worked beautifully! The couch and large dining table were perfect for rich conversations and the kayaks added variety in our days. Overall, our hosts were incredible. They were readily available for all our needs. Communication was easy and instructions were clear. We had such a great stay that we will definitely be back to this oasis! Thank you for such a restful getaway. One last thing, Huntsville was only 20 minutes away which allowed for easy groceries and stellar hikes at Arrowhead and Limberlost. Can’t wait to come back!

Perfect time away

We had an amazing time at the cottage, so clean, everything you need they have. We enjoyed having coffee on the dock, meals on the deck and warming up by the fire at night. Looking forward to returning next summer.
