Please read entire listing before inquiring. The max booking is 29 nights in Oakland law and my min booking is 7 nights.
Please tell about yourselves, your reasons for coming to Oakland and you will arrive. There is a 30 min Orientation on arrival before going into the apt so, all Guest must arrive together. Check in is 11 am to 5 pm by appointment
This is a lovely two bedroom apartment on the third level, with a sunny deck. Deck is very high and unit is not good for unsupervised young children. The front bedroom has 100+ year old colored glass antique window that creates happy light. No formal living room - kitchen and deck are the hang out areas.
One block to the Historic Temescal Village with lots of shops and cafes, Peets Coffee House and 24/7 Walgreen's for 3 am munchy runs. BART (subway) is 7-10 min walk. Lots of buses. Freeway is 2 1/2 small blocks. Temescal is considered the "hip" area of Oakland.
There is one assigned parking space in the parking lot - no trucks. Cars parked on the street are at risk.
Casa Bella F back door (most often used) open to the West - from which there is a daily afternoon breeze from the Bay.

I am a long time rental property owner with many long term rentals and rent Casa Bella to vacationers - short-term - because the grounds are co-mingled with my home.
When you arrive there is a 30 minute "orientation" to which ALL guests must participate. It is important. Problems with vacation guest have generally been with those who did not participate in the orientation. I am not open to late night arrivals. If you are flying in late, it is best to stay at the airport the first night. Always try to fly into Oakland International, if you can because it is way easier and faster than SF Intern'l.

Casa Bella is in my personal compound.. My house is separate. Inside I have a cat and two small dogs. I have other rentals near by that are on year leases. Casa Bella is good for short term because of it's great location - everything is right here. From time to time there are events in the Historic Temescal Village - which is one block away.
There is one assigned parking space in the parking lot. If you have more than one vehicle the second would have to park on the street and it will be less safe due to potential break-ins. However, it is easy to be here without a car. The BART - subway - is 7-10 min walk. Lots of buses and a rental car lot 2 blocks away. Historic Temescal Village with lots of shops and cafes is just one block. This IS a commercial area - and the "Hip" area of Oakland!!

Location. Location. Location. This apartment has great sun and a private deck. Even tho it is a 6-unit building, this apartment is pretty private. You may see others coming and going. There is an off-street parking space for one car (no trucks). The area has great walk-ability rating. Something over 85%. Lots of interesting cafes and shops just 1 block away. And public trans with the BART about 10 min walk. Freeway is 2 1/2 blocks
