This was a perfect little get away. Nice and quiet, beautiful sunrises. I booked this location for its private beach for my dog and it was great! Host is very pleasant and responsive.

Gorgeous home on a huge private lakefront property. Lakeviews from multiple windows and 3 sliding doors including from both bedrooms. Very comfortable beds and furniture throughout home. Fully stocked kitchen for all cooking needs. Private beach with easy access. Dead end road so very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay at Elena’s cottage. The photos are exactly as pictured, the check in process and communication was smooth. The cottage itself is at the end of a street so it’s pretty quiet (minus the dogs across the road barking). We loved the easy access to the beach below the property and the large grassy area for our dog to run around. The sunrise was absolutely beautiful from the deck. Would 100% stay here again. It is also very close 20 mins from Pelee National Park which is a nice day trip.

We had a wonderful week here. A very cool place. It is a wonderful house, where there is everything you need for vacations. There is full kitchen with more than enough different things for cooking and dinners. Beautiful beach. There are many places for walking around here. There is good fishing both from the beach near the house and from the marina 10 minutes from the house. The owners of the house are very sociable and friendly people. They are always available for communication and are ready to answer any questions and give necessary advice. We will be happy to come here again.

The property itself was great—the view and yard were unbeatable. However, the cleanliness left much to be desired. When we arrived we ended up spending a couple hours cleaning something in almost every room as there was dust on various surfaces throughout the rental, cobwebs in a bedroom and bathroom, hair in the drain of the shower, etc. After communicating with the host, it's evident they didn't use a service before our arrival.

Family getaway

The owner was amazing, friendly, and so easy to communicate with. She ensured the cottage had everything we could think of. It was a great spot for the 6 of us to spend a few days relaxing, enjoying the water, and the large yard. We would stay here again for sure!

Perfect getaway!

Quiet dead-end street with stunning views of the lake. The house was well-equipped and comfortable. This was one of the first places we’ve rented that had a perfect living room set up, with lots of comfy seating. The private area of the beach was perfect for the pups and steps from the house. Lovely shaded porch area in the backyard where you can enjoy the views and still be protected from the hot sun. The fact that we were able to bring our dogs with no restrictions was an absolute luxury. Most rentals have weight restrictions and a one-dog policy. We were sad to leave and would love to come back. Thank you Elena for a wonderful and relaxing stay.

A very special place!

The cottage was very clean, comfortable, spacious, well-organized, and well-stocked. The bed/ mattress was very comfortable. The cottage is in a quiet, peaceful and relaxing setting at the end of a cul de sac. The views were exceptional. The lovely constant sound of the waves and incoming breezes were wonderful. I could hardly wait to get up in the morning, make a cup of coffee and watch the lovely sunrise. Our dogs loved the location and seemed to have a permanent smile on their faces throughout the stay. Just loved our stay!

Words can not do this property justice

I can not put into words how beautiful this property is as the photos do not do it justice. While the house is clean and beautiful it is the backyard, view and beach that make this property. A private beach with unbelievable views. Our trip was even made that much better by how helpful and thoughtful Elena and John (the hosts) were. A real treat as my family loved everything the property had to offer.

A magical getaway!

Our family had an amazing vacation at this property! The cottage was fully equipped with all our basic needs, multiple tvs with netfilx etc were available for any rainy days and we slept like babies on the clean and comfortable beds. But most of our time was spent outside enjoying the amazing view and quiet, private beach which was perfect for our families needs. It has proven difficult to find a property that allows 2 large dogs and we very much appreciated this accommodation, they even had water dishes and leashes available. All in all we had an amazing stay and cant wait to return again! on the clean and comfortable beds

Beautiful location, but updates needed

Positives first. The host was very responsive to my questions and the check in process was easy. She actually let me check in a little early. The view of the lack is beautiful, and the property has access to a private, sandy beach. The water was clear and not too cold. I loved how each bedroom had sliding doors and a view of the water. The large backyard with shaded trees was also nice on very hot days. We also enjoyed the quiet location, the wifi, and the abundance of wildlife. We saw several deer, chipmunks, raccoons, rabbits, and ducks. Negatives. The house needs some updates. The outdoor deck is rotting. My elderly father's walker got stuck in one of the holes that the owner plugged with a rock. The kitchen and bathroom also need updating/cleaning. The shower had black mold. The biggest issue, in my opinion, is one the host could easily address. There is too much clutter. Every cupboard and drawer is jam packed with odds and ends and knick knacks. It is hard to find things and there is no room on the countertops to cook. It just needs to be better organized. There is also a problem with large carpenter ants. I left a box of un-opened pastries on the counter, and the next morning it had more than a dozen ants in it. I had to throw it out. I still enjoyed my time. The view was lovely.

Great place for family getaway

We had very good time at this place. The location is fantastic: quiet street, great views of the lake, plenty of space for a larger family. The house is good, but needs some improvements: no dish washer, laundry, flooring, etc.
