Lakefront King bed w/ lux hot tub.

Our lakeside retreat is a large, sunny, lower level apartment with a private entrance on a 3 acre lakefront property. Fully-equipped modern kitchen with convection oven, bright sunroom, dedicated workspace, private fire pit, shared dock and deluxe hot tub. Lots of space to spread out - big sunroom, den with sofabed and desk, and livingroom with 65" television. Canoe, kayaks and SUP board for your use (waiver required). Gorgeous sunsets. Super comfy beds!

We live upstairs and our entrance is on the other side of the house. You may see us around the property tending to gardens, maintaining the hot tub, or just enjoying the outdoors. You may hear footsteps overhead as we move around our own flat. You may also see/hear planes overhead, nearby trains, and the occasional squirrel noises, or ducks, geese or birds calling out to each other. The deer will not be afraid of you, and there is the occasional snapping turtle sighting.

We are ideally situated 20 minutes from the airport, 35 minutes from downtown Halifax, 45 minutes from Peggy's Cove and one hour to the beautiful Annapolis Valley. We delight in providing advice (when asked) on the best places to grab a great lobster roll, book a table at a great restaurant or hike on one of our local trails.

This is a beautiful property in a lovely setting right on a lake. It is spacious, modern and extremely well decorated. Is is very clean and well looked after. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone

From our arrival to our departure we had an amazing time. This VRBO is amazing and the hosts so welcoming and hospitable. The space itself was immaculate - we kinda of wanted to just hang around there , lol, and enjoy all they had for us, but we did tour Halifax. After long walks we enjoyed time in the hot tub every evening. Our host Vicki gave us extra ideas of what to see and do and where to eat! You won’t be disappointed. This place is spectacular. So clean! Comfortable beds. Beautiful lake view. Fire pit, hot tub, kayaks and the hosts are super kind, giving and helpful. They truly want their guests to enjoy their space while there. Vicki Lynn has a special gift as a gracious hostess and went above and beyond anything any other vrbo has done. There is no comparison to the hospitality we received here. Halifax is about 20-30 minutes away. Airport close as well. We had beautiful fall weather almost every day. Our stay was for 10 days and we weren’t ready to leave. Thank you so much Vicki and Terry for really making us feel welcome and for our new found friendship. Cheers

Gem by the Water.

We were visiting the Maritimes and stayed 4 nights in this gem of a cottage apartment just north of Halifax. It was beautifully appointed and fully kitted, a real home away from home. Our hosts were warm, helpful and welcoming.

Great location with a Caring Hist

We used this beautiful home as a base for day journeys to Halifax, Annapolis Royal, and the South Shore. The GPS will lead you off track when trying to find the house number but the owners are a great help. Thank you for a perfect ending to our East Coast adventure

Even nicer than the pictures

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. It is situated with a pretty little lake with access to a boat and two canoes. Vicki has thought of everything you could need like flip flops and towels for the hot tub and a few food items to get you started. The place was immaculate and beds very comfortable. Location is a short distance from Lower Sackville and Bedford. Can’t imagine that anyone would be disappointed with their stay here.

A slice of heaven!

Vicki-Lynn is an amazing host, and she has not missed any details to make your stay amazing, flip flops to get to the hot tub, a gift of marshmallows for smore's, a treat basket, snuggly throws, games and a fully equiped kitchen. The interior is beautifully designed, feeling bright and modern AND outside the most beautiful views of the lake from the chairs on the dock, a sitting area, fire pit, hot tubs and water crafts to use! I found it so relaxing kayaking on the lake. It was an amazing holiday! The location wasn't far from Halifax or other sites. I HOPE TO RETURN!

Wonderful stay!

Beautiful location right on the lake and beautiful house! Every room is brand new with stylish, comfortable and beautiful furniture, with such attention to detail, furnished and stocked with everything you could need! Wonderful hosts who are above hospitable and there right away for anything you may need, but give you all your space and privacy at the same time. The hosts have provided everything you could need, for example, an abundance of towels for showers and the lake, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, including so many extras like toothbrushes, razors, even down to eye makeup remover, the list goes on and on! In the kitchen you have absolutely everything you could need to mix up some drinks, cook or bake, full selection of spices, teas, coffees, even provided flour, sugar, butter and cream and milk and so much more! Board games, stereo sounding tv with Netflix, plenty of seating areas and the list goes on! You can go kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding on the lake and then relax in the big and beautiful outdoor spa jacuzzi! Literally the hosts have thought of everything, every little detail, to make you feel comfortable and provide a home away from home! Even better than home actually! The location was great, peaceful and quiet and on average 35-45 min drive to main attractions like Peggy’s cove, Queensland beach, downtown Halifax and Dartmouth! Really exceptional property, immaculately maintained and a definite must stay, worth every penny!

We raised our kids in the city and decided to retreat to this gorgeous family property on the lake. We think it's wonderful and want other travellers to have the chance to experience all it has to offer.

Our family has been connected to this property for over 50 years, first as a cottage retreat and later as home. The lake is quiet without being isolated, and we think it's beautiful here.

We are located 30 minutes from downtown Halifax and 15-20 minutes to the airport. We have a quiet lake side spot, but if you prefer the beach there are a number nearby, and we will lend you a cooler and some beach towels for the day. Relax in the hot tub or sit on the dock and watch the sun set. This is the place to get away without getting too far from malls, restaurants, hospitals, etc.
