Refresh in the secluded, creekside setting of the Moondance Cabin, a Panabode Log Cabin with classic mountain charm and character. The warm and cozy wood log interior and the fireplace will be the perfect place to kick back and make the most of your Mt Hood vacation. Prepare a tasty dinner in the fully-equipped kitchen or grill on the gas BBQ on the creekside deck.

You will want to relax on the private back deck accompanied only by the sounds of the flowing waters of Clear Creek and the light of the moon and stars. Soak in the new 6-person hot tub after a day of hiking, biking or playing in the snow at Mt Hood. Enjoy the view of the woods and the creek from the windows that surround you in the living room or cozy up in front of the wood-burning fireplace.

You will be just minutes for dozens of miles of trails in the Mt Hood National Forest in one direction. Or head the other direction to restaurants, stores and attractions making this location ideal for your vacation basecamp.

The Moondance Cabin is popular for romantic retreats including proposals, honeymoons and anniversaries; however the cabin is also suitable for two couples or a small family. Two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and two full bathrooms plus the living room sofa bed accommodate up to 6 guests comfortably.

When we booked the cabin on the river, we didn’t realize how ON the river we’d be! It’s SO beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, and a great place to do a family getaway into nature! We found 18 of the 24 gnomes in the forest. The cabin was provided by a TON of towels for the hot tub and showers. The Roku provided a ton of channels to choose from, and there are tons of family games and books provided!

We come here to get put pf the city (Portland) for a few daus. It is nicely private and we love the proximity to the creek. Searching for the gnomes was fun, too. Weve booked another stay in October.

Beautiful cabin with an amazing deck and perfect scenery. It’s a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.However, it seemed like the cabin may not have been fully prepared for guests during the off-season. The screen door occasionally got stuck and was difficult to open at times. When we arrived, the house was quite cold and it took about a day for the heater to fully warm the cabin.The hot tub was turned off when we arrived, and once it warmed up the water left a slightly slimy feeling on our skin. The barbecue also hadn’t been cleaned and was out of propane.Overall, the location and setting were beautiful, but a little more preparation before guest arrival would have made the stay much more comfortable.

Perfect place to unplug and unwind

This cabin is perfect. The views of the creek and tranquility of the surrounding woods make for a perfect location to relax for a weekend. We had so much fun looking for the gnomes hidden on the property. And the cabin is a very short drive to numerous trailheads and food options. We had a couple fantastic hikes and enjoyed a soak in the hot tub after. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful and relaxing cabin

This was the cutest property and had everything I needed to cook meals and feel relaxed. Sitting in the hot tub and listening to the creek was so amazing. Everything was comfy and clean and I will definitely be back!

To start i rented the cabin for Christmas. It is a beautiful small but confy cabin. There was three thing fors us the first was the smell its a strong smell of musk. It would be great before someone is howing up to air it out. And number 2 for me and my family was the grill it says they clean and have it ready before every new renter but is was realy dirty . So I tried to clean it but without the necessary things was unable.i tried towork around it and use the sideburner with my iron skillet for some burgers but ran out of propane on the 3rd burger. And for me that was a big one because i specifically asked if i needed my own propane and was told it would all be there for me . But as llong and they work on the small stuff it is a good cabin next to a beautiful creek.

Relaxing getaway

This place is beautiful. So close to the river! It’s amazingly peaceful and quiet. My only complaints are that the water has a very, very strong smell of sulpher because of the well, which is what they use out in the middle of the mountain! Also, someone really needs to sharpen the knives or get new ones. We had a great time, and will return!
