a lovely newly built 2 bedroom each with private ensuite baths and a powder room cottage with a large roomy living room, dining room and a Muskoka room with a open panorama water views , private lawn area with a fire pit on a peninsula overlooking a bay on Big Bald lake( complete with central Air for your sleeping comfort) also completely winterized with Gas furnace and gas fireplace for thoseand road snow clearing.
The Property is down a quiet Private road , 10 minutes from Buckhorn ON and 20 minutes from Bobcageon ON
with access to full amenities

Gorgeous cottage that is more of a beautiful house on the lake. Swimming off the dock was amazing, beautiful scenery, air conditioning for the extreme heat days and an amazing host.

Great Stay

Property looks out onto nice quiet lake and you can fish off the dock. Cottage is roomy and nicely laid out. Owner was friendly and accomodating. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely break on the lake

We had a lovely short stay at this beautiful and comfortable cottage. Mike was both communicative and accommodating, checking in from time to time to make sure all was good. We thought the water was too weedy for swimming, but we did some fishing and kayaking. If you want a quiet break from the city, this is for you.

Fantastic getaway!

My wife, two friends, and I rented this lovely cottage for three days, and by the end of those three days, we wished we could stay another week! Great communication throughout, and everything supplied that you could need to have a relaxing getaway at this charming, modern-but-rustic little cottage. Highly recommended! 😁

Nice cottage with good internal amenities, but property needs some upgrades.

The cottage was nicely laid out with comfortable seating in the living room and a well equipped kitchen. Loved having an ensuite in both bedrooms. On-site laundry was new and handy! BBQ wasn’t working when we arrived but the host came to replace it the same day. Sadly the replacement was not great and gave up on the idea of BBQing. The ad mentioned a fish dock and a swim dock, but the property has another larger cottage on it and when the renters arrived the next day, we were told it was for their exclusive use, and we could use the fish doc to swim. However there is no ladder and the with no shore access because it’s rocky, we could not swim. Not sure if it was the time of year or proximity to the water with lily pads by the fire pit, but the mosquitos were terrible. A beautiful setting but bring lots of bug spray - we could not go outside after dark. Overall I’d give our stay a 6/10 - cottage itself was great and the response time from the host also good. But as we couldn’t really BBQ or swim, and we were looking forward to both, it was disappointing. Easy fixes for the host though - to add a ladder and better BBQ.

Beautiful area, quiet and peaceful! The cottage was well maintained and fully stocked. The host was easily accessible and responded quickly to all my inquiries. I worked remotely from here and had no internet issues. The mattresses could use an upgrade. I was achy from sleeping on them for 4 nights! I would recommend bringing extra outdoor seating. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely like to return!
Loved the screened in room, watching the sun rise.

We loved everything about the cottage. It was clean and stocked with everything we needed. I'm sure there is more lake traffic in the summer but we went for a relaxing few days and that's exactly what we got. Mike was very helpful and checked to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We are planning on going back next year.

Perfect Getaway Spot

Fantastic spot, and not far from Buckhorn for restaurants and shopping. House was immaculate and kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need. Mike was extremely responsive to any question we had and took care of any minor issues we may have had quickly. It was a very hot week… don’t know if we would have lasted if it wasn’t for the air conditioning! Will definitely refer others to stay here!

Wonderful cottage

This was our first Vrbo rental and we had an amazing experience. Michael was a terrific host and gave excellent directions for the final portion of getting to the cottage. The cottage was much larger than expected. Lots of bathrooms and enough beds to sleep six comfortably. Lots of extra goodies left if wanted. Beautiful lake and mostly peaceful but it is the time of year for cleanup for winter so some activity. Met Michael and his son and his lively dog who had a stare off with our cat. Our cat won that and loved being outdoors and walking along the edge looking into the water. Was her first experience at a cottage. Internet reception was great also. One suggestion would be to make sure to only come during daylight hours as a bit tricky on the twisting gravel roads and easy to get turned around. Used Google maps on phone and it was spot on to find the cottage. Would definitely book it again. One other suggestion would be to put something under the mattresses to add a bit more support. Otherwise the amenities in the cottage and outside lacked for nothing.

Beautiful and Relaxing!

We had a very relaxing week at this cottage escaping the city and enjoying the Fall colours with our small dog who loved chasing the leaves as they fell! It’s the perfect combination of rustic surroundings with all the amenities to make for an effortless getaway. The kitchen was especially well-appointed with everything you might need and, in warmer weather, the lake would have been great for a paddle. Thanks Mike for sharing your little corner of paradise with us!

Perfect Little Getaway!

We just returned from our week long stay, it was fabulous! the cottage is perfect, clean, fully equipped with everything you need. Location is great, close to both Buckhorn and Bobcaygeon for day trips and supplies (grocery/LCBO etc.). Mike was fantastic, super responsive, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this cottage rental!

Excelent stay year round comfort with all the amenanties

We stayed for 2 weeks in May and the house was very comfortable on both hot and cold days fully equipped for all your needs good Wi-Fi and Netflix. The power was out on the area for severable days but that was no problem as this place has a generator. The lake is nice and quiet I enjoyed kayaking. A stand up paddle board was also available. Mike was a great host met us on arrival to show us around He was very thought full and responded quickly to any texts questions we had.
