This home offers the ideal Rangeley getaway - perfectly located just a short walk from downtown! You'll be close to local shops, restaurants, and everything the village has to offer, while still enjoying a peaceful setting to unwind after a day of adventure.

Outdoor enthusiasts will love the direct access to ATV and snowmobile trails right from the house, making it easy to head out and explore Maine's scenic backcountry in every season. In the summer, you'll also enjoy shared water access on beautiful Haley Pond.

When winter rolls around, Saddleback Mountain is only 15 minutes away, offering world-class skiing and snowboarding. Whether you're here to ride the trails, hit the slopes, or relax by the pond, this home truly has it all — the perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and classic Rangeley charm.

Great Stay!

Great cabin, great location!! The only small issue we had, we also had at the last cabin we rented from your agency is no tea kettle. Not being coffee drinkers, we like our tea. Just hard to pour boiling water out of a pot into a cup. But like I said, a great stay!

Bear Pause

Bear Pause is one of the best…located close to everything , shopping food skating. This is our second time renting this home. There is plenty of room for families with kids. Very quiet neighborhood for walks or just doing nothing. We look forward to renting Bear Pause again in the future. Thank you

Perfect Location

My family and I stayed at bear pause for 3 nights to ski at Saddleback, the home had everything we needed, and more very clean, very spacious, and we loved that we could just leave our car and walk downtown to the restaurants, local activities, and pond skating. We look forward to coming back next year. We also loved having a family of deer visit us every day right outside our windows😍 Beautiful home and very clean!

Our Weekend at Bear Pause

We love staying at this property with our son and his family. We can't wait to go back next year. Very comfortable clean property with easy access to snowmobiling, restaurants and shops!

It is a great property the only thing I would have changed is we lost power at the property and there was no generator. The power was out for several hours . It would have been nice to have a shower before sightseeing. Aside from that it was perfect

The Bear Pause is a beautiful home in a great location. It offers everything you need and want for a wonderful vacation. The restaurants were great, shopping was fun and the fireworks at Saddleback were amazing. It was are 5th time renting in Rangeley and look forward to next year.

Had a wonderful weekend in Rangeley Maine Our cabin had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay We could have used a lot more snow but Rangeley has a lot to offer so our grandchildren had lots of fun anyway at Moose Alley

We have rented from Morton & Furbish many times, and have always enjoyed our stay and been impressed. However, I don't think we would recommend this camp. It was a good location, but the entire downstairs had a terrible musty/mold smell and was was very damp. The basement was so damp that the linens on the bed were wet, so we couldnt utilize that room at all. We didnt get to enjoy the space downstairs because of this. We had a family coming to stay with us who was going to use that room, and they did not end up coming because of the condition of the basement/room. The musty/wet air would not have been healthy for their baby to breathe in. Aside from that, we were all coughing and sneezing the entire time we were in the camp. I dont know if the couch/ comforters / carpet was dusty or what but we found ourselves trying to stay out of the camp because of this. Disappointed to spend so much and not be able to use the camp as we wanted.

Comfortable

This property was awesome for my family. My Sons wife and son slept in the basement where it was so quiet. My son in the loft and Memere and Pepere on the first floor. We also loved having the two living room areas! We even stayed an extra night. Thank you so much!

Great stay

Had a really nice time. Bear Pause is clean, roomy and comfortable. We only stayed two nights, but it had everything we needed. We came to ski Saddleback for the first time and would definitely book this home again. Note: Google directions were a fair bit clunky when we got to Rangely, and we arrived fairly late. Google first tried to send us up an unplowed road before the Saddleback Inn then was confused when we got onto Depot road. Including some written instructions would be helpful.

AWESOME Cabin

Had a great time in Rangeley at this beautiful cabin. There's nothing lacking at this finely decorated home. Lots of space and very very clean when we arrived. Can't thank the owners enough for allowing us the pleasure of staying here.

Super clean, comfortable, close to everything in Rangeley!

Check in process was very simple. We had 8 adults, all were comfortable. Would have liked a pull out sofa in the basement living room instead of the twin beds with the double bed in the loft. However, the set up was perfect for 2 families to stay. The place was super clean! Kitchen was adequate with dishes and pots/pans to cook. Will book again. :)

Exceptional rental property. Very clean. Walking distance to town, yet still felt secluded. Very comfortable and well equipped with everything we could have needed. I would definitely stay again. The rental agency made this very easy and I loved the emails with suggested things to do. I will definitely use them again in the future. A few suggestions - fan in upstairs loft has no switch or remote to adjust fan speed. Suggest adding that so you can speed up the fan. The loft was pretty warm some evenings. Living room/kitchen area could use more light, maybe just brighter bulbs. Overall a wonderful place to stay with no complaints!

Fantastic rental

This home was nearly perfect in every way. The main floor with king bedroom and bathroom was very comfortable, with plenty of room to relax in the main living room. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, along with a gas grill and Blackstone griddle out on the large wrap around porch. Upstairs loft area had 3 beds but we didn't need to utilize those. The daylight/walk in basement was finished off with a living space, bedroom and bathroom. The basement was a quiet retreat from the main living space. We definitely loved our stay here and will be back again some day! The home was immaculately cleaned as well. The home is beautiful with particular attention to detail as well. Communication with Morton and Furbish was also excellent. We received regular communication both before and during our stay that helped ensure our stay was problem free.

Bear Pause

Bear pause was a great stay for our group of 6! The house is within walking distance to the Main Street of rangeley but yet still private and tucked away from neighbors. The house was clean and had all amenities needed to stay the weekend readily available! Our group came up for riding our side by sides and we were able to leave directly from the house to get to the trails which is always a huge plus! Great stay at bear pause and would definitely recommend!
