We had a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly kind, knowledgeable about the area, and very accommodating—allowing us an early check-in and keeping communication easy and clear throughout. The property itself was beautiful, with perfect access to the lake and just a short walk to Main Street for restaurants and coffee shops. 10/10 experience and we’d definitely return!

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend ever hosting Kevin. He and his group inflicted significant damage to our property, and we were forced to retain a portion of the Damage Deposit to conduct repairs. Beyond the damage, this group even left a door wide open when they left; disrespectful guests, NOT recommended.

Groom's Family Weekend

Shawn was a great host and we all enjoyed staying at their lovely home while we prepared for our son's wedding, which was held nearby. The house is within walking distance of the main street in Wellington, and has a great lakefront.

Wellington on the water

Overall, we all enjoyed the house! It is in a great location with a huge yard overlooking the lake. The view is priceless! The house is well equipped and the inside very clean. Easy walking to downtown. Would we revisit? Absolutely!

Lifelong memories at the Lakehouse!

My husband and I along with our 3 adult children had a lovely 4 night stay at the beginning of August during the weekend of our son's nearby wedding. The house is tucked away behind Main st. and while the music at the Inn next door is loud most of the day, it was easily drowned out by our own soft music while we were outside. The lakehouse was an ideal headquarters for us to get ready for the wedding and host festive family dinners. The house is modern, stylishly decorated and the AC works fantastic - even during a heatwave. Thanks for helping us create lifelong memories at your beautiful lakehouse!

An amazing time in the country

When we first stumbled upon this Lakehouse, it seemed almost too good to be true. But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Ruth and Shawn were the most thoughtful, and gracious hosts. They provided us with all the information we needed and recommended their favourite local spots. The Lakehouse itself is wonderful! The Kitchen contains everything one needs from pantry staples to cookware. I stayed at the Lakehouse with 4 other family members. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were great and each room's access to the wrap-around porch was such an excellent touch. The location on the lake is incredible: it's a quick walk everywhere you need to go in Wellington. We were so happy to find the local artist studios and the Lakeside Market and we enjoyed quick trips to local wineries and breweries. Shawn and Ruth had excellent restaurant recommendations and were of great help. They went way beyond to make our long weekend comfortable and memorable. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend! We especially loved playing lawn games and enjoying our morning coffee by the lake. We will be back! :)

Our Stay in Wellington

I give the stay a 4.7on 5 to rate. The house ,shower, beds and sheets all super clean and comfortable. Kitchen is fantastic and the view is to dye for. The only thing that I would highly recommend is to have a small microwave no a day's we depend on it and a family with young children would go crazy without. The Kawak is on place but it's for a child a big man of 180Lbs does not fit in. There was missing little things in gadget wise for the kitchen for example, no mittens to pick up something hot from stove or wisk of Big spoons ( but ) that being said, its just the small stuff. The rest was great, wonderful and that VIEW in every room is wonderful. TV up to date, fireplace inside and outside near the water etc. I forgot my jacket and Shawn sending back to me the host very helpful. All in all, besides the microwave nothing to say. I recommend and will be back! Thank you Shawn. Joanne
