The Cozy Retreat

This beautiful, recently renovated suite features a comfortable room and a sofa bed. Located in a central neighbourhood with many falls and lakes nearby. The suite includes kitchen equipment such as utensils, plates, cups, coffee maker, toaster, electric stove and a microwave. There is also free parking on the driveway. No smoking allowed inside but guests are welcome to use the backyard! Available for daily, weekly or monthly bookings!
There is occasional noise from the adjacent suite.

Clean, and fun getaway spot for a short vacation.

Had a smooth checkin and out, place was clean and had all basic cooking,bathroom equipment. Had a wonderful stay.

We really enjoyed this clean, spacious suite. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The location was easily accessible and close to all amenities. Would highly recommend!

Nicely decorated, clean basement suite. Host was very accomodating to let us have an early check-in so we could get dressed for a funeral, thank you!

A Comfortable Apartment

The hosts were gracious, and the apartment was clean, bright, and well stocked with kitchen utensils, cleaning supplies and bathroom towels. Also, the bed was very comfortable. We would stay at this apartment again.

Clean, mostly quiet, responsive host

We stayed for two nights. Very clean and the host responded to messages promptly. Noticed some noise from young children the first night but completely quiet the next. We would stay again.

It’s a very cute place to stay with really nice decor with a good driving distance for being in the middle of everywhere I wanted to be. :)

A great stay!

The suite is in a house in a great location, close to town with easy access to shopping, coffee, and restaurants. The suite was clean and warm with a nice little kitchen. Bed was comfy, water pressure was great, suite was simple to access. Check in was seamless, and the host was consistently quick to reply and easy to get ahold of. Neighbourhood is safe and I had off-street parking in the driveway. Would recommend for sure.

Unkempt yard and walkway

The suite itself was clean, but a bit clunky with hidden corners of the bed footboard and little steps up and down. We got a few bumps and bruises. The walkway had full rubbish bins and a box full of recycling bottles. The yard was completely overgrown with a dilapidated kids play house and collapsed fence as well as miscellaneous stuff laying about. It’s an older neighborhood, not well kept with a neighbour who appears to be a hoarder, or runs a salvage business. The yard was filled up with all kinds of stuff. All in all it was okay, but it could be much better.

Basic accommodations

Everything was clean and comfortable. Unit was pretty small but that was ok as we didn't spend a lot of time there. One thing that was a bit of an issue was that there was no heat in the bathroom and therefore we had to run a small heater for showering but if you plugged in the hair dryer with the heater running, the breaker would pop. Luckily someone was home to reset when it happened. The kitchen was not quite sufficient for cooking but we made do- not enough cooking utensils, etc. We had planned to entertain our kids during our stay but it didn't work out that well. Overall, it was good, parking was off street, unit was quiet, bed was comfortable and we were able to get the baseball game on the TV, so everyone was happy!

Minimal comfort, too cold in winter!

Owner was open to communication and was responsive most of the time. Addressed some kitchenware shortfalls but couldn't change the physical shortcomings of the cold floors and the occasional noise of other residents. No safety chain/bolt on code lock door. Too cold! Tile floor with no in-floor heating and only one self-controlled undersize small electric baseboard heater for the three room apartment with forced air in-ceiling controlled by the owner. Paper thin walls allow voices in adjacent apartment to be heard. Ceiling conducts noise from upstairs activities including fans, dishwasher etc. Minimal comfort, not cozy. Clean but definitely economy. Appliances worked well, wifi was good. Kitchen utensils minimal. Worth the economy price.
