Property was excellent and Brandon was great to work with. Dock area is a mucky bottom making it tricky to get boats into the dock.

Quick holiday and ski jaunt

Super cute cabin on crooked Lake with plenty of space. Close to ski Hills, Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Great support from the property manager. Really enjoyed it.

Cold night

We had no heat the first night, Brandon brought over some space heaters. We turned them on and blew a circuit, had to break in the front unit ( per Brandon) in order to get to the breaker. Third night the furnace was fixed. I felt that we should have one nights stay deducted, but apparently the owner didn’t feel that way. Brandon was supposed to get back with me but……. The grounds needed a lot of cleaning up, windows full of cobwebs, gave the house a dirty feel. No I wouldn’t stay there again

Nice but…

Lake is not swim able. Kitchen needs more utensils for cooking. Kitchen light does not work. Beds in bunk room have terrible mattresses. Location was good except for traffic noise. Clean. Nice stay for a retreat.

Great Place To Stay

We stayed labor day weekend and had a football gane to attend on that Friday, i had contacted Brandon to see if we could check in early and had no problem with that. He responded quickly, house was clean and has all the essentials you need. Definitely recommend!!

Crooked Lake Stay

This cottage was spacious for the 4 of us. It was well situated to visit all our Up North destinations, including Petoskey, Charlevoix, Harbor Springs, and Mackinac Island. The contact was responsive to our requests.

Nice Place on Crooked Lake

Roomy house with nice views of Crooked Lake from living room and main bedroom. Nice deck with new grill and patio furniture. Close to bike paths.

Not worth the money

No light in kitchen, windows didn’t open, those that did had no screens. Lamps did not work. Terrible weeds in the lake, couldn’t even walk in the water. Pier was dangerous. Umbrella on patio was broken, manager did bring new one. Grass wasn’t mowed, deck was filthy, we had to clean it. Not enough towels. Bunk beds were child size and completely uncomfortable for adults. The website pictures were completely misleading. I would not recommend anyone staying at this location, especially at the price we paid.

Crooked Lake near Petoskey, Michigan

Broken screen door into the living room. Screen door is warped and does not close properly and does not lock. Same entrance, main door, the lock is stripped, and it does not lock. House could not be secured. So many little things that should be tended to...Toaster, only 2 of 4 slices work, no toilet paper in house, we had 2 forks, dishwasher was not unloaded, which we found the second day when we went to load it. Master bedroom good, master bathroom very good. Deck facing lake very good. Lake dock is not usable. The house faces a thick marshy, inaccessible part of Crooked Lake. Not suitable for swimming, boats or pontoons. Maybe kayaks but not available. Will not rent again.

Lake house review

House was clean and appeared to have new floors, fresh paint and new furniture. Would have appreciated a few more towels per person and updated games. Personal preference: would like to have a strainer, tongs and vegetable peeler provided. Lawn was mowed recently too. Enjoyed having outdoor seating provided. Property manager responded to communication during our stay.

Nice Spot

The house was very adequate and the location was great. Easily accessible to harbor springs and petoskey and everything needed. The property manager was reachable on the one occasion we needed him and I would stay here again!

Crooked Lake Cabin was a great get away

This property was very clean and comfortable and the contact person was very helpful. Located on Crooked Lake, we had a great view of the lake and were just off 31, which allowed us to have easy day trips around Petoskey and Mackinac. We enjoyed bird watching from the back deck-there were so many types of birds. When we stay again, we will focus more on Petoskey and Harbor Springs. Nearby Petoskey businesses like NorthWoods Restaurant, House of Pie, The Crooked Tree BreadWorks, Roast and Toast had great quality food and service and helped make our stay enjoyable.

Lake house property

It was a good location for visiting the area- harbor springs, petoskey, walloon, and charlevoix. The owner was very responsive. We sent a text at 7pm to make him aware that a smoke detector battery need to be changed. It was fixed within 20 minutes. The kitchen was stocked with basics as were the bathrooms. They even had a basket of keurig coffee units.

Perfect Family Friendly Rental!

This is a great family friendly rental with waterfront access! Our family rented a pontoon for the middle half of the week and then also rode bikes from the property into downtown Petoskey. We ended up with a great week that included the Harbor Springs Car Festival and Top O’ Michigan Boat Races. One recommendation would be to add additional seating, as the rental is rated to sleep 6. We were down a chair for a family of 5 when eating at the table, which was quite often.
