Summary:
Stunning 1,500+ square foot corner penthouse with oversize windows, an open layout, and dramatic city and lake views in multiple directions from every room. This bright and modern three bedroom, two bathroom apartment is perfect for travelers looking for a stylish escape in the sky in downtown Chicago just off the Magnificent Mile and the lakefront. The building has great amenities including an amazing rooftop terrace with 360 degree views of the skyline and the lake. This is the best location in the city!

The Space:
Located on a high floor in a secure, high-end building in the center of Chicago! Once inside, you're greeted by a large light-filled space with large windows overlooking the lakefront, beaches, and the surrounding neighborhood.

Interior design is a passion of ours and the chic furnishings reflect that! There is fast internet, a smart TV with Roku, and comfortable modern furniture to lounge on.

The kitchen and living room are open and very spacious. The kitchen is stocked with cookware and all the tools you need to cook a great meal. We have 2 counter stools and a 4 person dining table. Plenty of room to dine comfortably or to use as an additional workspace. In the living area, there is also a desk that can be used as a workspace.

The massive master suite has its own private sitting area with wonderful lake views and a large walk-in closet.

For each guest, the comfortable beds have crisp, clean linens and the bathrooms are stocked with fresh towels and bath products. Sleeping arrangements are as follows:

Bedroom 2: Queen bed
Bedroom 3: Queen bed
Living Room: Queen sleeper sofa

We provide towels, iron, cleaning supplies, etc. and there is an in-unit washer and dryer.

The building has a doorman and thoughtful amenities including a gym, a rooftop terrace with sun beds and lounge seating, a gourmet coffee shop, and an indoor club room with a pool table that can be enjoyed during colder weather. The panoramic city and lake views from the rooftop are truly awesome year-round!

Guest Access:
You'll have complete and private access to our apartment. You will also have access to all of the building's shared amenities (rooftop deck, gym, coffee shop, club room, business center, etc).

The Neighborhood:
Located in a leafy, upscale neighborhood just off Michigan Avenue in one of the most central locations in the entire city! You are surrounded by world-class architecture, shopping, beaches, parks, and other sites within walking distance. From our place, you can easily walk to the Magnificent Mile, Oak Street Beach, the Lakefront Trail, River North, and Navy Pier as well as numerous restaurants, bars, and cafes. Attractions such as the Art Institute, the Central Loop district, Lincoln Park, and the West Loop restaurant row are only a 5-10 minute ride away.

Getting Around:
Our place is surrounded by trains and buses that will take you anywhere in the city you want to go! Uber and Lyft is also available 24/7. You'll have no trouble getting around without a car.

Parking is not included with our listing, but our building has its own parking garage and there are other garages close to our building (within 2 blocks). We suggest using SpotHero or ParkWhiz to find and book discounted parking. You can usually find reasonable overnight parking for $15 to $30.

Other Things to Note:
Dogs allowed with prior approval only. Please inquire about breed restrictions. 35 pound weight limit. $35/night per pet fee applies. Unauthorized pets will incur a $500 fee.

Parking is not included with our listing, but our building has its own paid parking garage and there are other garages close to our building (within 2 blocks). Great place. It has a lake view. The neighborhood is unbeatable, steps to Water tower and Michigan Ave. 15 min walk to the river. Big enough for 6 people. Workout room, club room and rooftop area. Coffee shop too

Great location close to it all! We could be anywhere in the city in under 20 minutes! Short walk to Michigan avenue. Easy access to the redline train.The property itself is as advertised. Very clean with an unbeatable view. Our teenage boys LOVED the second floor game room. It was very nice and well maintained. 10/10 would stay again!

Great Location and Communication with Owner

We go to Chicago annually and always stay near the Magnificent Mile. My wife and daughter like to shop. Go figure. In the past, we stayed at nearby hotels. They were very good, but we needed to rent two rooms. For a slightly lower price, we found this location, which also has a living area for the three of us that two separate hotel rooms do not offer. After we made the reservation, the owner immediately sent us information about the unit, a nearby place to buy groceries, restaurants, and transportation. Very thorough and helpful. Re: groceries, the local convenience store is typical of other convenient stores: limited selection and higher prices. There are nearby supermarkets that offer same day delivery: Whole Foods and Jewell Osco. They charge a delivery fee but if you are buying more than a few items, worth the cost plus more choices and better quality. We used Whole Foods and we would use it again. When we previously visited, we bought groceries from the Jewel Osco store, and thought the quality of their products was good. Re: the unit. It is in an older building, constructed in the '60s. The unit itself, however, is well maintained, and the age is not a negative. That said, the building was constructed before the ubiquitous use of electronic devices. The owner has provided multiplug devices, but I suggest you bring along your own. I have other comments, none negative, but VRBO limits the length of comments. We would stay here again, in sum.

Great location and value for the price

My wife and two teenage kids rented the Penthouse corner unit on the 20th floor for 5 nights over Spring Break. The unit includes beautiful views of Chicago and Lake Michigan from the living room and all 3 of the bedrooms. Having access to the roof deck and club room was a nice bonus, as was having the coffee shop right in the lobby of the building.The building is old (built in 1957) and shows some of its wear and tear, but is generally well-kept, clean, and safe. The unit itself is simple/no-frills, but has most of the modern conveniences you need for a short vacation like ours. We got in very early and used the Bounce app to store our luggage at the nearby liquor/convenience store, which was handy, if a little strange. We appreciated the 1pm early check-in after enjoying a delicious brunch nearby.All in all, we were very happy with our stay. The only callouts I’ll share are just a few things you might want to know in advance, but none should be considered showstoppers unless they are a real concern:- Memory foam mattresses are very warm. You will sweat if you are under the covers and the AC/fan isn’t blasting.- Showering in the bathtub with very low shower heads made for some challenges with my 6’3” height- It’s very bright. Not a bad thing per se. But there’s no real way to block out the sun if you want to sleep in.We recommend and would rent here again.

Great Location and Views

The property was in an excellent location and close to the Magnificent Mile and the Lake. There was a hiccup with the accessing the penthouse apt. I only mention this because the property owners and management were very accommodating, working diligently to resolve the problem. Would definitely recommend this property to others.

Christmas in the City!

We spent Christmas week in this beautiful home. It was roomy enough for 3 couples to spread out and have a little privacy when we wanted it. The best part is the location - walking distance to everything - even in Chicago winter! Communication with the property manager was easy and quick. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great Location, Unit Average

We came in for an Army ceremony for one of our sons. There were 6 adults staying in the unit. The unit had more than enough space for the six of us and was in a great location near Michigan Avenue and the Gold Coast. Unit though was not very clean and we were disappointed in what was stocked in kitchen. Furniture was average. Check in was very easy and managers were timely with any responses to questions.

Amazing Stay

This was an amazing place in an even better location! Beautiful unit exactly as listed. So much space for our family. Delicious coffee shop on first floor of building that was convenient for grabbing a quick pastry and drink. Great views of the surrounding city and beautiful Lake Michigan. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Chicago. Host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Overpriced

The location was ideal, the property itself was okay, we paid nearly three times the average price listed (our fault for not checking the price quoted, plus additional fees properly) and, because we were there on a holiday weekend, there was no on-site support available other than for emergencies. Worth noting, keep the property management details with you at all times. We couldn't get in one evening, due to a faulty lock, and no one on site could help. We'd left the contact details in the apartment so took over an hour to find the number to call. Once we got through, we were let in straight away, and given instructions on how to trouble shoot in case it happened again, which it did. Also worth noting, the charges for overnight parking below the apartment block were higher than noted on the property details. Hopefully this has now been corrected. Overall, we felt the property was overpriced for what we got, but we were offered a 10% refund, and you can't beat the location
