One acre of south facing lake front property with private dock. Large back patio with lots of seating and outdoor toys.
Tennis court on front side of yard fully enclosed. have hockey nets, basketball hoop , tennis rackets as well as a pickle ball set.

It’s like staying at your aunt’s house. Feels like home and it has everything you might need to cook, relax, read, chill, hang out and so on. We will return! And there’s elk!!

Fantastic place

All Year Round Getaway

Even though the weather is cooling off the lakefront scenery and multitude of social areas outside and inside make this property suitable for sunny summer or rainy winter. Definitely reccomend for family vacay.

A great lakeside cottage

This cottage is a lovely lakeside retreat, perfect for families/large groups. The house is well stocked with ample space for lounging, including a large dock and bunkhouse. We would definitely stay here again!

Well sized lake house for a good sized family. The weather was wonderful and the dock and beach got lots of use.

Family getaway on the lake

This property is like a little resort. We had a wonderful family weekend enjoying the lake, the private tennis court, and the spacious home. The home is well stocked with everything you might need.

Perfect getaway

We filled this house up. 10 adults, 4 kids and there was room for everyone! The property is beautiful. Can’t think of any other place that is right on the lake, and has a private tennis/pickleball court! Hosts have made sure you are never bored. Hockey nets/sticks, basketball, laser tag and games galore. Lots of comfy outdoor seating. We will be back!

Wonderful spot

We had a wonderful stay. Youbou and Cowichan Lake are great vacation spots. Beautiful lake and hills. The private dock, tennis court, and beach are all very nice and in good condition. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with even more equipment, essentials, and spare food than noted in the listing. Beds and rooms were comfortable. Plenty of parking.

What a pleasure it was to book this amazing place. Facilities are just as described. Owner is so great to work with. When you plan an event for creating memories for your parents, having their first 10 minutes spent saying, oh my, my goodness.... book here

Beautiful lake front home.

Brandy was a great host. Very responsive. His home is a big rambling home with a great kitchen and everything you could possibly need. Super big living room and a wood burning fire place. The kids loved the playroom. Tennis court was amazing. Tennis, hockey, basketball, lacrosse were played. Thank you Brandy

Friendsgiving/Xmas Getaway

Crazy amounts of places to sleep and the dock is beautiful. Kids loved having their own room for playing (with tons of toys and games) and then a fully equipped activity court? Amazing.Owner also left thoughtful touches for our New Year's celebration. This place would be insane in the summer with all the deck seating and dock itself!

A REYTREAT FOR A GROUP OF FRIENDS

We had a wonderful 4 nights. Everyone said it was the best place we have ever used for a retreat. Lots of bedrooms and the house was cozy and warm. Lots of space and a big living room. Great views and waterfront. Glorious. Very well equipped. Everything worked. Great kitchen for a big group.

Perfect for multi-generation family get-away

The place is a bit old but it was just perfect for our multi-generational family get together. Toys for the little kids. Games for the teenagers. Deck chairs for the grandparents and lots of couches for fun evenings. Glad to have found this place.

Perfect multi-family vacation spot

Beautiful spot on the lake; we were delighted by this rental. Spacious accommodations, plenty of room for all. Great deck with eating table and seating, the swimming is excellent, tennis courts and basketball were well used. We had a great time! The kitchen is huge and well stocked with a variety of dishes / pots etc., big fridge for all the good food and even a selection of coffee options! Brandy was quickly responsive to any questions. Would love to stay again.

At the lake

We are a group of quilters. We found there was plenty of room for us to spread out with our sewing machines at the table, or hand sew in the living room. The well equipped kitchen is very spacious with lots of room for several people to work at the same time. The view of the lake from the very comfortable seating on the decks is breathtaking.

Reunion on the Lake

We are an old group of friends who were looking for a spacious property for a weekend getaway. It was absolutely perfect. The house is expansive & amazingly well stocked. Communication with Brandy was excellent. So friendly, quick to respond & helpful. The property was gorgeous. We lucked into a sunny weekend & took full advantage of the deck & tennis court! Great to have so many bedrooms! It may become an annual retreat!!

Fanastic property for large groups with or without children.

Our family was celebrating a number of birthdays. We were three generations and all of us enjoyed the property equally I would say. The host Brandy was fantastic too, as she responded to all our questions, etc. immediately. Further, the property was well supplied with toys, sports equipment and basic food stuffs like condiments, coffee, and snacks that really helped out with our large group. Thanks Brandy, we highly recommend this property and host!

Birthday Celebration

This place is the perfect venue for a large family. We had 10 adults and four little kids and we all slept comfortably. There is so much to do with the tennis court and an amazing dock for swimming and hanging out. The kitchen is really well stocked, with everything you need. There are so many cupboards, it takes a while to find things and remember where to put them back. The view from the deck is beautiful and we saw a huge elk feasting on the fruit trees which was a thrill for everyone. We all had a great time at this amazing property!

I am living in Victoria BC and have my whole life. Our family & Family Friend (partner on property) are both in construction and just absolutely love lake cowichan. We purchased this home in early 2020 when covid hit, giving us the opportunity to slow our lives down a bit and really take it all in. We had been looking for a special place on the lake for both our families to spend our summers and available weekends making memories, hosting fun events and spending time outdoors together, and truly showing our kids that amazing 80-90s childhood we had. When we aren’t using our Lakehouse, we are spending our time at our kids sports and traveling the world as a family. Our Lakehouse is truly the only place we have ever grown attached to as a home.
We recently started taking on VRBO rentals at our Lakehouse when we aren’t using it so someone can enjoy it as much as we do. It’s truly a special place to be.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

We chose this home for the large waterfront property and ever expanding home that could fit both of our families comfortably. The extra cabin gives us the opportunity to invite our family members over without having them encroach on our Personal space. This home having the large tennis court for the kids to play didn’t hurt either!
