Bright & beautiful 1 bedroom downtown condo with private bath laundry & kitchen

This condo could honestly not be in a better spot! Located 20 minutes on Trax from the SLC Airport (it's $2.50 for a one-way, direct trip from the Airport to the condo), it's an easy walk to Temple Square, Salt Palace Convention Center, City Creek Mall, Vivint SmartHome Arena and Abravanel Hall. We have the condo professionally cleaned after every guest so you always know that you are staying in a clean place. We really hope you enjoy our cozy, peaceful, downtown getaway!

We welcome traveling parties of up to 3 people, though we have found that 2 people will be the most comfortable. The condo has one queen-sized bed, air mattresses, and a comfortable couch. The dining room table sits up to 3 people.

This condo also provides amenities to make your stay more comfortable. There is always freshly ground coffee, a coffeemaker and a microwave in the kitchen. Basic pots and pans, a cooktop, oven and a full set of dishes, cups, and mugs are provided. If you would like any other food items there are plenty of grocery stores nearby. And, for those midnight cravings, there is a convenience store next door.

The living area includes an HD TV with Netflix, DVD player, and some miscellaneous movies that were handpicked from our personal collection to provide some entertainment if you feel like having a night in, and other online streaming accounts. High-speed wireless internet is included as well.

The bathroom comes with q-tips, blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face soap, and clean towels all provided. You will also find detergent and dryer sheets on top of the washing machine if you would like to do some laundry!

Guests have access to the whole condo. There is one secure, off-street parking space, and public transportation (Trax and bus line, the closest stop is the Temple Square Station) is a short walk away. Temple Square and City Creek mall are within walking distance 2 blocks away. The condo is very close to I-15 with easy access to ski resorts in less than 40 minutes (such as Park City or Cottonwood Canyon).

To make your stay more comfortable and convenient there is a Masterlock lockbox on the gate in the front of the building so you can check in at your convenience! Check in is after 3:00 pm and check-out is before 11:00 am in order for the cleaners to prepare for the next guest. But if you need to check in earlier or check out later please contact me and we can work something out.

One of the things we love about Salt Lake City are the amazing restaurants you can try! There are too many to list here, but we have provided a list of our favorite restaurants in a restaurant guide on the end table next to the couch- there is some really amazing food close by!

Salt Lake City is a pretty conservative town and the other tenants are sensitive to the smell of smoke in or near the building. If you would like to smoke I would just ask that you do so farther away than you normally might.

I love this place! It's in a fantastic, charming Salt Lake City neighborhood. Right at the edge of downtown, it feels quiet and peaceful while still being close to the energy of the city.

Why Maren Snow chose Capitol Hill

This is actually the second property I have bought in this building because it is in such a great location and has wonderful, clean layouts for the condos. I chose this building because it is quiet, and yet it is right in the middle of downtown. The condo itself is perfectly comfortable- the living, dining, and bedrooms all feel more spacious than you would normally find in a downtown condo.

We also chose this building because the neighborhood and neighbors were all so nice. The building is quiet, the other tenants are polite and kind.

Downtown Condo-Great Location

My husband and I stayed in this quaint downtown condo for 1 week. The condo is in a great location, walking distance to Temple Square, City Center, Great Restaurants and other downtown activities. We were only 40 minutes from skiing, so we were able to do lots of things during our visit. The condo is small but just perfect for 2 as she says. It is quiet, very clean and comfortable. There is parking available which makes it great. She has the condo set up with kitchen items so if you are making a meal or just warming something up you can do it without a problem. She has restaurant recommendations available and responded to any questions quickly. Would recommend

Central Location but Noisy

Let me preface this review with the caveat that we rent a lot of vacation properties, so our experience at this condo is in comparison to other places we have stayed. Quite simply, the condo was adequate for our needs.

Pros: Maren made communication easy. She accommodated our early check-in on Christmas Day.

The bedroom was very clean, with plenty of storage options. The bed was most comfortable. The bath was also adequate with plenty of linens and storage options. The shower curtain showed splatter marks of some sort - a simple toss in the washer would suffice. The kitchen provides basic meal prep supplies, including a decent supply of spices. And coffee is provided!! Dinnerware was quite basic - just 3 dinner plates.

The cons are that this property is street level and, as such, one hears traffic all day (the bedroom is at the back and protected from street sounds). There was also significant noise from other condos - heavy-footed movement overhead, crying children, and on NYE a raucous party that prohibited any sleep until the wee hours of the morning. One other unfortunate and frustrating element is the sectional sofa. It lives up to its name, in that it preferred to be in sections. The pieces routinely slid apart (especially when lying down) requiring frequent adjustment back together. Another oddity was a large splatter on the ceiling that ran down the utility closet door. I cleaned off the door bc we had guests that visited. There was also laundry in the dryer that required folding/put away.

Parking was convenient and secure. Visitor parking is also provided. There was significant icing in the parking lot that required careful navigation during the early morning / late evening.

Location wise, Temple Square and City Creek are within walking distance.

Close to Temple Square and downtown hot spots. Maren was very accommodating although we didn’t really need any extra help since she did such a great job up front with our communication. I will recommend Maren’s condo to friends and family.

We absolutely love living in Salt Lake City! No matter what time of year there is always something to do. We recommend checking out the free concerts at the Gallivan Center during the summer, movies in Liberty Park during the fall or world-class skiing in the winter- Park City Mountain Resort (the largest ski resort in the United States) is only a 30-minute drive.

Downtown Salt Lake itself is arguably the most accessible city we have ever lived in. It is incredibly pedestrian friendly, safe, and full of amazing things to do and eat! A 10-minute walk from this condo will take you to historic Temple Square (which has some of the best Christmas lights you've ever seen if you are lucky enough to come in the winter) and nearby City Creek shopping center, full of premium stores and quick dining options. If you are in the mood for something a little fancier I have provided a list of all my favorite restaurants and bars for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the condo. I would recommend Rich's Burgers or Penny Ann's Café, some of the best food around!

This condo is a great starting off point for a Salt Lake adventure, I hope you enjoy my city as much as I do!
