About this property

Cozy MW Alpine Village 1br. Close to the alpine lodge and hikes in the meadows!

Mount Washington Alpine Resort, Courtenay.
A quieter chalet, that is central, in the winter Walk-In, Alpine Village. We are full time residents on the upper floors and you may even get to enjoy a random outdoor apres ski! After a short walk from the Upper Henry parking lot you reach the Mogul Mansion’s Marten Nest it is rustic and tidy with recycled and new finishes, it has high ceilings but is still cozy.
The bedroom has a queen lower bunk and upper twin.
As a true ski-in/ski out to Alpine or Nordic areas (minimal skating back from the Alpine runs) you can put all of your energy into adventure!
You will enjoy the safe and friendly atmosphere of the Alpine Village. We have some snowshoes available for wanders but the groomed routes are easy to walk on as well. Bring your camera for taking photos of the stunning views.
The Alpine Village boasts safer play areas due to few motorized vehicles as the Alpine Village is a walk-in village. Park in the Upper Henry lot and it’s a short meander to Mogul Mansion. We have a toboggan to help tow in your gear
Amenities:
Double hot plate, air fryer -toaster oven, toaster, kettle, coffee Bodum, bar fridge, outdoor snow fridge for beverages in the winter. Smart TV and WiFi as well. In the summer we are close to the hiking and access to the MWAR activities of ziplines, biking and hiking!
Please be aware that fireworks are also banned, and strictly enforced.

Janine was great and we loved our stay at the Nest. As previous guests have noted, the kitchen is fully equipped, with appliances, dishes, pots and pans etc. The unit is extremely comfortable, and spotlessly clean with easy access to the village, ski lodge, lifts and cross country trails. Cozy practical retreat for hiking and winter sports enthusiasts

This is a perfect base if you want access Mt Washington and the Park meadows area. We were there in the summer and went hiking on the trails at Park Meadows among the lakes and alpine vistas. Very easy to get to from this location. The cabin is a cozy, well organized and fully equipped place. The shower is amazing and the bunk beds could easily fit 3 people or 4 if you have smaller kids. Wifi worked well. Best of all the host was very accessible and responded quickly to questions and issues that arose for us. A wonderful stay!

A Homey Winter Wonderland At The Marten’s Nest!

My husband and I enjoyed the homey and well thought out decor of the Marten’s Nest.This location was very accessible for those who are wary of icy stairs and within 5 min walking distance to the Alpine Lodge.The owners were very sweet and responsive. Overall a lovely winter wonderland experience!
