Great getaway

Steps to the Water! Accessible, Pet Friendly & Full of Heart

My mom hasn’t been well for some time, and it’s been years since we’ve been able to take her on a real vacation. I was searching for somewhere close to the city, with easy access to the water, main‑floor amenities for her comfort, and somewhere that would welcome our pets. I can’t even put into words how perfectly this place delivered.Watching my mom step into the water—over and over again—for the first time in years, it was something I wasn’t sure we’d ever see again, and it meant the world to us.The Bickell sisters are truly something special: warm, thoughtful, and so attentive. They didn’t just give us a vacation; they gave us memories we’ll cherish forever. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Cozy Place

We stayed here for a weekend for our annual sisters trip. The booking was smooth, instructions were clear, and the cottage had everything we needed. Since it was February, we appreciated all of the cozy blankets and pillows for our use. You can tell that the Bickle sisters put a lot of effort into making sure you have a fantastic experience.

Summer vacation

Cottage was very clean and easy access to the dock for seniors and kids. A great spot for sure and not too far a drive from the city. Highly recommend!

We had an Amazing stay and will go again

Perfect location and a very well maintained property and the owners were very quick in response. The property was clean and all newly upgraded and well equipped location wise and activities wise. We had an amazing experience and plan to go there again.

Perfect Family Vacation

We had a great family vacation! The Bickle Cottage is absolutely beautiful and one of the best cottages we have stayed at so far! Girls Weekend

We had an amazing stay at the cottage! The place was just as pictured and incredibly clean. The rooms were spacious and comfy. The bed and linens were very soft! This was the perfect spot for our girls weekend. We’d stay here again for sure.

Beautiful Cottage

The Bickle Cottage was absolutely beautiful! Lots of space for 6 adults and 2 small children , beds were very comfortable and the cottage was very well stocked with essentials. Karen and Laura were so very nice deal with as well!

Just as described - beautiful

Booked for two nights, so we could have a work reunion. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cottage. The large dining table was perfect for the ten of us. Sunsets were gorgeous. Hope to get back there soon.

Lovely getaway with friends

We really enjoyed our stay and girls getaway at the Bickle cottage. The Bickle sisters were extremely responsive before, during and after our visit. the cottage is very nicely decorated, clean, cozy and charming. The new boathouse is gorgeous. As we were there Sept mid week it was quiet.The kitchen is well stocked and bedrooms comfortable. Thank you Bickle Sisters!

Our Stay!!!

The Bickle Cottage was very cute and quaint !! Karen and Laura were great to accomadate and respond to our messages. This little cottage was very clean, beds were comfortable, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. BBQ was great as well. We would stay again if we were out that way for sure !!!

A perfect weekend, grateful!

The Bickle cottage was lovely in every respect. It was both homey and classy. Our family and friends were perfectly accommodated in the bedrooms, large common areas and waterfront. We really enjoyed our campfires, exploring the lake, generous common areas for discussion, games and music. We would love to make this our annual cottage vacation place!

Perfect Winter Weekend

It was my husband’s 50th birthday and I surprised him with a weekend getaway with friends & family. The Bickle sisters were very hospitable and I was able to do an early check in to set up everything before coming back to the cottage with my husband. The location was perfect bc it was 1 hour outside of the gta. The cottage was very clean and love the decor in the home. You can really feel the amount of love that’s put into their cottage. It was great that we were able to have a fire outside in the month of January and during the day walked outside on the frozen lake. I’m sure we will be back again. Cristina & Francois

Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect weekend getaway for me and my friends! This newly renovated cottage was beautiful and located in a very quiet area. The property was very clean and organized with all the amenities we could ever want. Karen and Laura were very kind and responded quickly to any query we had during our stay. Cozy getaway

Peaceful weekend away with a great lake view. We went with a few friends as a couples getaway to relax. The property had multiple rooms to help accommodate all guests, with a spacious living/dining room. We were happy to see how clean the place and provided all things needed to help enjoy our stay, from wi-fi, to towels, coffee machine, board games provided, pots/plates etc. Would definitely recommend, and we are definitely considering coming back.

Highly Recommend!!!

Each room and space at the cottage was beautifully curated and thoughtfully designed. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need for your stay. There’s lots of seating in common areas for guests so everyone could sit together comfortably. The back porch has very comfortable rocking chairs to sit and enjoy the beautiful lake views.
